Well of course that would depend on the 2 ships being on opposite sides of your ship which means you have potentially done something a bit stupid... and also refer back to point 1 about not happening very often.

Doesn't happen that often really, I mean Mikasa might be a bit of an exception but clubbing around at tier 2 shouldn't define a skill. Would you really rather engage 2 ships with crap accuracy or 1 with decent accuracy? I would much rather have my secondaries be effective against 1 target than ineffective against 2 at the same time.

I must confess to being someone who doesn't have the Tashkent but my understanding is that it suffers with poor surface detectability and large size making it useless for capping and at a disadvantage to the other tier 8 DDs who will see it way before it sees them. In randoms you can mitigate this with your play style but in ranked it will be a huge problem meaning you give up cap control to the enemy. The Benson has to be the best DD choice, probably followed by Lo Yang and then Fubuki. Tashkent is probably one of the worst ships to pick (I think Lexington, Tashkent and New Orleans are the bottom 3 options).

I got mine with only 6 total bomb hits in a game. I'll load the replay and see if I can figure out more. EDIT: here is the exact moment I got it Things to note: Defo DBs Bombs hit (but not first bombs) Started a fire (but not first fire) Defended cap (this was a first) Destroyed AA gun 2x bomb hit (unsure for others but probably would have had some multiple hits there) Over 5k damage done with bombs (these rewards seem to love the number 5)

I have 5 point secondaries on my Yamato so I am perfectly aware of how this skill works and what are the pros and cons of it. If you can't keep on eye on ship proximity to you because you are 'focussing your big guns' then the problem is you and your situational awareness.

It is fine as it is. The 18 points restriction is fine as it is. Stop whining. It is comical that you then screenie the Bismarck when its secondaries are performing exceptionally well as they are.

Uh oh. Can't see me getting many of those... EDIT: technically, I can get them... I just lose them all again pretty quickly :p I think there is a mix. The queue jumper reward said it was a 1 time thing but the other 2 I got (A shot in the dark and run admiral run) did not say that.

Run admiral run is flag defence I think... potentially from a CV if others don't get it from ships firing shells to defend it. I DB a NC on our cap to earn it. As posted on page 2 this is perhaps to do with 5th (air) torpedo hit as I hit him with DBs and TBs and was trying to run from a tashkent in a lex so there was plenty going on! It is worry that one of the most eager ranked players (but ultimately one who pretty much defines the term 'average') thinks long and hard about ship options at tier 8 and manages to come up with the Tashkent as his choice ship. I guess it is a minor step up from his most played ship, the Lexington... I was going to say that I pray that if I meet him it is only on the enemy team, but what I mean is that I pray I meet him lots and lots but always on the enemy team.

^^ tinfoil hat needed. Couldn't possibly be a mix of randomisation of teams, concentration wavering and/or frustration growing. To OP I'm pretty new to the Benson myself (I was on the Mahan when the last season of Ranked started) but I have loved it. I found the Mahan quite frustrating since it gets spotted so far away but with the Benson you are much stealthier making approaching ships much easier - I don't even have 5th skill concealment yet. I've just checked and our stats in the Benson are very similar.. in fact yours are slightly better except for win rate. So, I'm not sure what to suggest, you seem to be performing ok just not getting the wins. Shame we can't see cap information.

Mahan will do. Benson is better. Blyska is good.

You should have picked the Atago. I know I am terrible in it but that is the archetypal p2w candidate at tier 8 people like to mention. The Tirpitz is a solid performer but by no means does it outstrip any of the other 3 BBs at that tier. As a salty f2p player it perhaps just suits you to think that people get the better of you because they are in their 'p2w' ships when maybe that isn't the issue...

Yes you will get the stars and yes you will get the rewards. From what I remember you need to either win 1 game or perhaps just play 1 game to trigger these rewards.

Just make sure it is a consensus and not a few posts in this thread. Whilst I think a tier 6 season might be nice I have enjoyed the tier 8 and 7 ones previously. I think changing the tiers each time is a good way to stop it being so stale. But single tier is definitely the way forwards.

I saw something on reddit suggesting those hidden achievements will be around the new plans for things such rewarding spotting and tanking. Here's hoping!

Ranked does not allow divisions. They would be far too powerful in a 7v7 game.

Sit with a Bismarck and light up all of the DDs so they can go to secondary death heaven. I'm only at the Konig so I think having the Bismarck is too much of an ask for me.

I have plenty of responsibilities. 50k base experience is really easy to achieve as is 2 mil damage and you have a whole month to do it. You really don't need to start cancelling social engagements and staying up into the early hours to get yourself the Campbeltown.

Single tier <3 Just need to push my Benson* captain to tier 8, retrain my 5th skill Hiryu captain to the Shokaku and clean up my perma-camo NC and I am ready to go with multiple options... oh and my Tirpitz... and maybe Atago (but only if I want to ruin my chances of progression). *14 skill points with me about to pick up 260 dragon flags... should be nice and easy!

...getting the Campbeltown is not a heavy grind. It is incredibly easy.
