I don't actually understand why you have spat your dummy out because your posts are nonsensical. I see your other thread about deleting your account - whilst I don't think that is possible I think it is better for all concerned that you do go before you have a heart attack! And over what? Even with your exaggerations you still said you managed to shoot down 1 squad. If we roll with this crazy talk for a while then you can still pick which squadron to engage and focus on dodge the other set. Maybe you need to put in a support ticket about how your Montana doesn't function like anyone elses

I sort of am... all I want is for them to be competitive - and by that I mean competitive in relation to the other cruisers (everyone is well aware of the issues with cruisers in general!). I still don't know how they will play which does make me slightly apprehensive but I have no problems adapting to a different play style in order to get the most out of them.

That certainly isn't my experience in a Montana. Usually, I would love a CV, particularly 2 tiers lower to attack me unless I have been hit by hundreds of shells that have reduced my functioning AA guns significantly. But, I have also fully specced my Montana in AA - I want to really stretch its good points.

Lol Icey. Your previous posts have been arguing about CBT level CVs that do not and have not existed for a long long time. The rearm penalty for lost squadrons was introduced maybe half a year ago which made suiciding squads a stupid/redundant tactic - not to mention that for many CVs you don't have enough reserves to let them all get massacred over and over. The 2 tier 10 CVs per side farming damage hasn't been an issue for even longer. AA levels have changed dramatically, both for existing ships and by the power creep of other lines (hi KM BBs). A tier 8 CV cannot "easily" take out a Yamato, let alone a Montana and someone with your amount of games in those specific ships knows this. If you want people to engage in a discussion why do you exaggerate to such a degree as to make yourself ridiculous?

You say it doesn't affect your competence to judge and yet whenever you post about CVs you prove that you have little to no idea about the bounds within which CVs work. Your twisted and exaggerated assertions only serve to distract from any discussion.

Indeed your sig suggests you do... but the fact remains that you could probably do better with them. Also, specifically mentioning moneymakers strikes me as odd - whilst I could potentially see you making choices based on class (CVs don't necessarily need them) or bonus type (I never get premium fighters/spotter/speed boost), or maybe even tier... I don't understand where a premium/non-premium choice appears from.

The original purpose of my post was to just try and stop people from dishing the blame out on someone/anyone when they either die or lose. My perspective this season has been altered by my move to CV play so my post might have focussed on that too much but it is just frustrating when people lash out without knowing specifically what you have done and then also potentially are not aware of what are the limitations in what you can achieve. I find this to be the case as well. And I may have been guilty of blaming people in previous seasons but it doesn't help and often I used to have to stop playing ranked after a few rounds because of it. Actually, my best decision this round has been the move to CV - in a CV you are a support class and you rarely require support. True, some DDs insist on spending 10 minutes sneaking towards you like you might not notice the enemy got B flag 5 minutes ago, you have no ships over there and there is a DD who hasn't been spotted at all but it isn't often and usually you can see it coming. The simple fact that I don't need support means I don't get salty when it isn't there. All I need to do is focus on what I can do to support the team and tip the balance in our favour. This has made me more relaxed and consequently I've played better. It has also meant that with 2 nights sans girlfriend I was able to move from rank 9, 0 stars, to rank 5, 0 stars which is big achievement that gives me a fighting chance of making it to rank 1.

Buying a new ship is not an every day occurrence and if the credits are so important to him why wouldn't he do a cursory search before making his purchase? Anyway, I look forward to finishing my Gneisenau grind on Friday or Saturday and then buying a discounted Bismarck. I don't need the credits (I've got loads!) but it makes me feel all warm inside that you know that I've put minimal effort into planning and as such I'm (even more) better off

I have 9k experience left to get on my Gneisenau but I am only playing for the bonus once per day - I should have the Bismarck unlocked on Friday ready to buy discounted on Saturday.

Hard to say with my 2 games but I did lose them both! The first game the enemy had 2 NCals and 2 Kutuzovs which made life very hard for me in my CV and we had 1 NCal as an equivalent AA fortress. We kept it relatively close but it was just too much to deal with. In the second game there was 4 DDs, 1 BB, 1CA and 1 CV each per team - I hope that isn't an indicator of what to expect from here on out. A guy on our team started whining about it being a CV game and it deteriorated from there. All 4 DDs went to the same cap and didn't cap it whilst the enemy managed to cap with having less DDs there (they also got the second cap). This was, of course, my fault - I only had all 6 squadrons in the cap they were after and scored 2 torp hits in the smoke but I should have done more - probably I was supposed to solo cap it too. Having backed out of the cap the enemy had both for free and it didn't last long from there. The guy insulting first CVs and then specifically me was a decent (56%) player but 88% of over 8.5k games are in DD and so it seems he hates CVs with a caustic and unbridled passion. So, all in all the 2 team compositions have been tough and something that would be considered rare in the higher divisions (although when I dropped back to 6 I then had 1 game with 5 DDs, 1 CA and 1 CV per team!) but I need more games before I can say a) whether the team composition is tougher generally and b) whether my opposing CV players will be of a higher standard.

I saw a CV kill himself in ranked as well but he was last man alive when he did it. I have absolutely no idea why he didn't try kill things to make sure he kept his star, but I was the opposing CV and I hadn't made life easy for him. Those consumables are cheap and they all improve your chances of being alive which in turn should improve your chances or winning - they are worth every credit. They are doubly worth every credit in ranked battles. It also doesn't look like you have any flags on. Please stop handicapping your team. Also, I am not sure that stating that you know you cannot name and shame and immediately going on to do some naming and shaming will work particularly well in your favour.

Why would anyone want it windowed?

Moving from rank 9 with 0 stars up to rank 5 was long run of wins with only 3 losses, 2 of which I kept my star. Only had 2 games at rank 5 and lost both and had to regain my way back to it. I'll try again tonight but maybe I need more potatoes to get to 5 before I can feed off of them :p

Got to agree. I saw you on there yesterday in your Lex and it is tough for a CV as back ship to get anywhere without being spotted. The map itself works quite well I feel but the ships need to spawn slightly further back to give them a chance of positioning properly.

I've met quite a lot of forumites in ranked and not remembered most of them (sorry!). Last night I saw t3h3th2 on my team in an Atago. We won and he did well. Then I saw Shaka_D as my opposite number in his Lex on Trident. Which is a tiny map. And the Lex has neon lights on it so that it can be seen as far away as Jupiter... I didn't go near him but it didn't end well for him and was another win for me.

Don't say things like this. Any nerf to any non-BB is clearly because of the BBabies. It is known.

Well since 10 out of those 12 games were facing a shokaku it isn't dominating for everyone but don't let that stand in the way of a snarky comment.

I thought ranked was supposed to be tough? EDIT: That loss I was top so didn't even lose a star.
