Seen a few people in the past day or so. Waxx25 was on my team in his Donskoi, think I was maybe in my NO (but maybe Gearing) and we won. Only noticed him in the results so didn't say hi. Phologistoned was on the enemy team in his NCal but he was bottom tier and I was in my Gearing. We won, but my team was bad. Thankfully for me, his team was worse so the least bad team won. Admiral_Noodle (for the second time this week) was on the enemy team this morning in the Missouri whilst I was in my FdG (I free XP the range and had just finished the grind to put the B hull on so she is getting closer to her 'proper' spec). I knew better than to pester him for info despite me being very interested in how she is. We were opposite flanks so didn't see each other and I handed out 3 compliments after that game because our push up the west flank was a beautiful display of teamwork you rarely see in randoms and it was another win for me.

So let's make tier 1 ok because we can't disadvantage someone signing up today? I don't know why you say you need to grind 1 year for a tier 10 because we both know that isn't true. If you don't want to then that is a different issue but I don't get why you think that the conditions should bend to your whim. I am honestly surprised that I haven't seen a thread from people complaining that they couldn't get a reward that was on offer before they registered - given the crazy expectations people seem to have and demands they make it is only a matter of time... or perhaps someone complaining that they actually have to actually play the game to get the rewards EDIT: As for the time limit part of your reply. I know there are time limits on some missions... but there are not on these 2 campaigns. They are permanent. Hence they are not limiting who can participate since everyone can get to a point where they can fulfil the requirements.

It isn't 'limiting' it if there is no time limit. Grind to tier 10 now. Grind to tier 10 next year. Grind to tier 10, whenever the hell you like... and once you get the the final bits of the campaign will be waiting for you.

The difference in CVs, AA power and tankiness... that is a lot to overcome and from average players, not complete potatoes.

There used to be a site that would tell you those but then the figures for the top 10% in those ships and then the top 1% but I can't remember what the site was called

It is the same group of whiners every time. I can understand the class issue more than this recurring problem with tier requirements. IT IS PERMANENT. No cash grab here when you don't have to rush to get tehre.

Well, I use my Scharnhorst as a captain trainer for my other BBs so I am not putting DE on them. Perhaps when I progress the CA line further I can put that captain in for a while, but hopefully the Graf Spee will be around then instead

As someone who uses AP in the Scharnhorst probably 90%+ of the time I seem to do ok.

Pay attention to your mini map at all times. You shouldn't be in a situation where you are duelling a ship whilst the enemy gets your base. If, it is your team then who cares - it is a win after all!

I am someone who doesn't really love IJN DDs and sold them after I completed them so I have never wasted my dubloons on perma camo for them either (I wasted my dubloons on perma camos for ships I am keeping!).

Ah I expect the module refunds. I had 6-9 in port but 9 was stock and 6-8 had everything researched but since they were re-buys they had none of the modules mounted.

Just go into the camos section and they are sat on the far left without a dubloon cost so just equip and enable auto-resupply

To be honest, if they remove them I lose nothing, but I have equipped them all the same for now. If I wasn't in work I would maybe play the new ships I need to grind in order to take advantage of their increased XP gain.

....I think so. I bought the Kagero months and played 0 games in it so maybe I didn't retrain him from old Fubuki. If he was still specialised for Fubuki would him now being Kagero specialised make sense?

Having -or- clauses for missions would be a way to deal with it you are right but it would require careful thinking to make it the right level of challenging still. It wouldn't be suitable for the 'science of victory' campaign that has a stated aim of making people learn more of the features.

Yea, my Kagero captain moved to the Yugumo but is still specialised for the Kagero. Kind of annoying... but I haven't been playing my IJN DDs so I can just keep not playing them until they get fixed

Just thought about my situation - is the mutsuki supposed to have free perma camo or is it just tier 6 and above?

Free stuff is only ok if you get free stuff?

Just checked and I don't EDIT: I was wrong - Mutsu has no perma camo option. Hatsu, Fubu and Kagero have free perma camo EDIT 2: Yugumo and Akatsuki also have free perma camo. Mutsuki is the odd one out:
