Smoke screen expert on British cruisers yes or no?
nerderklaus replied to SovietFury43's topic in General Discussion
Why don't you test it? Resets are 1g/point for the rest of the month and you can earn 100g with 35 victories. -
He wants to camp -> spotting plane RPF to drive away, if a DD wants to sneak up and vigi to get that foolproof. However, for a BB that goes for the fight instead of to hide I wouldn't leave vigi away and the BBs with torps should get PM so that you don't experience the frustration of having your torps knocked out in close quarters when damage control is on CD.

Today is a sad day for WoWs community - at least for me

Have you ever seen a profile with average stats like the matches that are typical for youtube? The difference must be made somehow^^ Well, I have seen fail matches of all streamers in casual games. The most extreme example would be phantomlord when he was first in ranked, but certain to get owned when not getting one of his two heroes... Something like this on rank one "competetive community"... Certain WOT streamers got facerolled when they didn't get highrolls without dispersion on every shot. Obviously you don't have players as talented as certain Dota 2 players who play heavy trollbuilds on stream, but still carry hard on them. Though, there obviously are issues with the comparison, because that game has lower RNG than WG games and a much more competetive community. Even though it is worse than it used to be. -

So you consider the changelogs in patches "ad homien falacy"? If you classify players like the color codes in stats do you would have similar amounts of people trying to pad them in all areas, but most commonly on the extreme ends of the spectrum. What other purpose does the following combination have: "AA that enables lonewolf playstyle with savety from carriers" + "injustified 2.0 sigma" On tier 8+ US BBs... Now add the new vigi and RPF... The pretty much made misuse of a ship that is most common with people who need to statpad to become orange or even fail that. -
0.6.1 Equipment changes. Next cash sinks?

The only thing of these I would certainly use would be the radar upgrade on Belfast and Missouri. -
It seems tempting, but problem is that the two good Ruski captains I have currently are intended for the Moskva and the DD line which both need other builds. You would need to keep one of the cruisers and make a captain for that, f.e. chapa is worth keeping and pretty similar to MK when it comes to useful captain skills. I watched the flamu vids as well, but I put far less into AA compared to him, because that stuff requires CVs to be there and even if they are there, they might keep their planes away from me.

Did he mention the return of standard battles making things worse with camping and harder MM screwjobs than usual? I did a break before they returned them to high tiers and the first thing that was noticable was how much better it was for high tiers when there were no standard battles. I watched bits of it. Some statements seem odd and others are pretty much on like the problem with tier 10 players being equal or worse than some tier 1 and 2 players. The retarded gold camos on tier 10 are as poisonous for the game as when they made WOT tier 10 unplayable by making it impossible to lose credits there so that the worst noobs of the game play tier 10 all the time and when playing (standard MM) tier 8 this causes problems most of the time... Maybe not catering so much towards idiots would help camping BBs as well. Lets add up some wrong decisions: -high tier BBs losing a lot of spread -more IJN DDs getting Shimmy'ish torpwall potencial -standard removal/frequency reduction undone -most likely some hidden bonuses for retarded players -gold camos so that combined with premium it's impossible for bad players to lose cash -still no dedicated economy change to make aggressive playstyles more rewarding than passive playstyles -a skill that lets the camping BB know when some stealthy ship wants to ambush -multiple fire nerfs Obvious result anyone? Citadels are certainly not a big deal there and after all. Like Shimmy converters who don't know what radar is I am pretty sure that most people who converted a tier 10 BB don't know what a cita is. With the sandbox comparison he brought up they should test something else... Make BBs lose the range advantage on cruisers or reduce it. -

First time two krakens on one day. -
A lot of campaign missions continue the tradition of the WOT campaigns like 10k spotting damage when only getting fu maps like kharkov. Well, even the incinerator was easy, if you knew how to (platoon mate tracks the bastard and you dumb HE in his [edited]with an MT that was autoloader... Works best on US HT). Now with preventative maintenance on every BB the mission to destroy 100 secondaries as tier 8+ CA/CL is aids, cancer, cholera and the plague...

I converted half of the XP. I won't regret it, if they don't introduce other BB with radar in the near future. -
So probably he converted a Haku to focus US CA, a Yama for the corner of the map and a shimmy for hackusations against people who play radar cruisers Even on tier 6 most CV players knew to avoid my Cleveland, but what happens in tier 10?

Bad for the luck standards of other people, but exceptional for mine... 2x5 signals + 1 port slot from a signal+camo container -
As rare as solo warrior? I sort of look in scoreboards for achievements from time to time and it's not even close in the games I checked...

What are the chances of getting super containers can the flags container choice drop super containers as well? I got two of them with over 100 tries (250 flags each) so I went back to flags containers, because it got too annoying to always get 5 flags or few free XP... -
The achievement has gotten very rare since they reworked it and CV getting dropping in popularity due to "balancing" working as intended doesn't help it. The only time I can remember a clear sky is when some Haku converter had the idea to focus a Des Moines...

what is the best current tier X cruiser?
nerderklaus replied to X_MonsterMilkMan_X's topic in Cruisers
Shouldn't you asume that the ship is played right when making such comparisons, because otherwise it's like gambling? Obviously stealth firing BBs and larger CAs is easier than the other CAs, in particular with the indicators on the minimap, but what happens when you need to get things done? Still there are some things like the Zao being better than a Hindenburg on everything except for shooting perfect broadsides, but that is another story. I actually would consider Moskwa best, because of the high range radar against the torpedo soup threat and some of the most reliable cannons in the game. -
Actually the AP of Königsberg and Nürnberg felt most reliable to me when I played through the line, but that was with the old MM. Hindenburg honestly feels inferior to Dimitri in the same games. I purposely made that comparison knowing that there are some 9-10 power creeps like Izumo and Yamato... I didn't feel the "tanky at range" yet, because tier 10 BBs archieved multiple citadels at all angles on all ranges against my Hindenburg which is bigger than various BBs. The AP has the high theoretical damage, but the penetration properties will have them deal less practical damage than RU and US cruisers. Actually RU and US cruisers seem most worth it to me currently, because they have radar and both shell types (in particular AP against BB, so that you really can start hurting them when they burn already) will hit harder than the German ones most of the time.

Buying Dabloons to grind the Missouri?
nerderklaus replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
It depends on whether you want to wait for a conversion rabate or not. The other part of it would be the extra gold for larger purchases. Still the ship can be very satisfying. I for example have my damage cut in half or worse by getting worse RNG than people shooting at me. The Mo however can get at places where radar cruisers can get and use the RNG-proof radar to screw enemies even on days where most salvos are the worst possible RNG. Having the radar screw the enemies and these "functions" can be extremely satisfying, possibly the most satisfying thing in the game currently. TAP has a rumor on some upgrade that extends radar duration and if that rumor is true you will have some good times. -

Well, people who play a tier 10 unit of the most survivable class with corner camping, fail hard at it and WG priveleging these people... It's repetition of what destroyed WOT. The modders and the general camper culture did a lot of harm as well (f.e. tomatoes seing the people who are supposed to be good all the time and reacting according to it). However, retarded users (close to playing it exclusively, not something like 35% HT, 30% MT, 25% LT, 10% TD) of the most survivable class -
RPF / RDF / RADIO LOCATION: The Ultimate Petition To The Devs
nerderklaus replied to t3h3th32's topic in General Discussion
Remove it and introduce mandatory tests on drugs and IQ to never make changes as bad as the RPF introduction again -
Lets go through some. Bias it should be pretty damn obvious that the devs are biased in favor of mentally handicapped people who play BB most of the time and kemp kornor. Oddly there is the tweek "not working on CV" which is a class whose performance is reflecting in increasing rarity, but none of this was done on BB as the class that would need it the most. What a way to start. Less cookie cutter, more options in a lot of cases DD and CA lose points they would have needed to enhance their firepower due to the obligational ("official purpose" of the reward broken by one skill) 4 points in one way or another while BB gets much more tanky. Obviously this is an issue. They typically need two tier 4 skills and 6 points to get there (1+2+3+4+4=14="all your fingers and the fingers of one hand of a cartoon"... For certain [edited]fom WOT who failed class 5 math). BFT is tier 3 now, where there are DE and SE. Carriers They get the benefit of the new concealment and AFT (only useful against other carriers), but they migh have wanted the option to know which direction to scout. Unsurprisingly biased devs denied that meaning getting lit up is as dangerous as before while countless ships had their defense against carriers improved. Additionally the changes make a scouting CV lose value. Gameplay there is too much camping and camping gives too much for free. There are more flaws that need to be adressed than RPF here (RNG noob bonus on corner camper BBs, corner campers almost certainly not losing cash and rewards for aggression being too low, standard battles and more), but RPF adds to this. The retarded corner camper BB now knows from which direction to drive away. Such stuff happens with other ships as well like Torpedo soup cancer ("We combat torpedo soup" "We added two torp salvos within 10 seconds to distinct Japanese DDs" to make matters worse this even adds up on the issue when that type of power creep is involved). On top of that the defender gets more from the skill most of the time when objectives are contested. Similarities to WOT it reminds a little of the WN7 time when all the noobs were adoring certain people, because of a rating that primarily was about finishing off low HP with this granting more points than making someone low HP or winning. The noobs spawned a camper culture like the BBs who sit in the corner all game long. Similar to the WN6 rating the new RPF rewards that type of playstyle. They may no longer be able to change team scores deceisively, but a BB that has full HP from corner camping until most ships are sunk will be getting sort of a godmode bonus when it comes to farming up some points lategame. It would enable that kind of player even further like the RNG noob bonus that makes such people get less spread than other people get in more accurate ships. Summa summarum the skill is so fail that it looks as if someone decided to intentionally make the game worse. I wonder why there was no real resistence? Are supertesters only living in coffee shops and behind BB steering wheels? Are devs only living in coffee shops and behind BB steering wheels? Is there any QA? I advice WG to do IQ tests when chosing employees. It looks like some of this is driven by political correctness and IQ tests are the best way to get rid of politically correct people.
-
The thing that the depency on it for certain ships takes 4 points away was listed as problem. It looks like quite often you are running into trouble when it comes to BFT and DE. RPF and CE are 8 points combined and you probably wanna get AFT quite often, because unlike other ways to enhance AA this one still does most, because multiple ships drive around and some might be next to each other.

Well, today there is the usual screwjob going on when there are victory-based missions on top of that and matchmaking turns into fraudmaking. It's ridiculously that there is a disciplinary system and nothing happens to the worst people. They should be dealt with like people who are like "It's not a cheat. It's just a mod that does a few things for me". Believing someone can beat you in that is where it can't get worse

The money spendings some people post are not as big deals as perceived. Some people spend some 4-figures on a useless vacation that provides nothing once it's over and isn't even great while people are there. This even can be the case for just 7 days. Well, with people wasting money like my example the ingame expenses look like getting the a bottle of 200€ wine instead of 50€ wine...

How did you create the space then? I considered it on a Hindenburg today, but eventually decided for better chances to not have my torps knocked out last second in close quarters. With the poor camo Moskwa will have and the thing not turning well I thought I should leave it away from my DM captain, because of the incoming unlock.
