A sereous question - Are you fu*king kidding me?!
nerderklaus replied to wilkatis_LV's topic in General Discussion
And if all flaws in the game would be removed, all the people who converted a tier 10 BB with the CC of someone else would commit mass suicide -
does WG want to make the game more campy?
nerderklaus replied to Myrmix's topic in General Discussion
Problem is that some things aren't right with the spread and BBs sometimes get tighter groups than CAs. Things like 4 pens + 2 overpens still is a lot for a cruisers and lucky montys deleted my MK from full HP without detonation more than once at ranges like 25km when I had help the other flank ASAP and thought a distance like 25km provides protection. The other thing is that cruisers are supposed to help the DDs with killing other DDs. -
Wait, so they managed to make the OP Bismarck, even more OP.
nerderklaus replied to _x_Acheron_x_'s topic in Archive
Remember guys, Monty needs buffs, because of how it compares to two ships out of the hundreds there are in the game. How it does compared to every other ship it meets is irrelevant, because people who run from every enemy closer than 20km said so! -

This is rather soft when it comes to rigged MM. I already had rigs against me so bad that they turned me away from the game for months, f.e. 16% recent WR, being top3 XP every game while MM made sure that corner camping high tier US BBs don't get less than 45% recent... -
Maybe somebody gifted it to you. Check your mails

Wait a sec, RPF Is not that game-ending.
nerderklaus replied to Kazomir's topic in General Discussion
The issue with BB and RPF is that it enablers these griefers who intentionally misplay BBs heavily. This got buffed so that when they do their running away they get a warning when a DD approaches them. A good BB that worse together with other ships probably wouldn't get a lot from it, but these BBs certainly are the majority. After all when I play randoms most standards are decided by which team gets more BB players who are useless despite of all th advantages "balancing" gives them. The other big thing is that the RPF is kinda of mandatory for DD and lots of cruisers which costs them points that could have invested on some anti-BB measures. The more you go up the tiers the more likely the SE change makes the DD die with one main artillery shell less. Nerfing DE for non-BB while buffing it for BB and getting rid of one superstructure fire in the same patch certainly adds up. This means there is something big, even if RPF turns out to do less than intended on BBs directly... In my oppinion not removing RPF literally put a layer of fecals on the general WOWS quality similar to making standard battle common again. These two issues have harmony in an undesirable way. -
Seriously, some premium ships definetely need premium MM like an IS-6 has in WOT. Due to the slow speed of WOWS and far too much effect of tier differences fighting tier 10 as tier 8 is far worse than the same gap in WOT. It doesn't get better with a 90%+ chance of the most retarded part of the team (or rather all WOWS players) being toptier, in particular Des Moines, Montana, Kurfürst, Shima and Yamato converters. [edited] Fighting 10s as 8 is like 95% chance of losing with the MM I get and that sucks. For some ships like the Tirpitz it's literally either be toptier or +1 or lose. This is more than just broken. The performance difference between the tiers is too much, then the biggest ships are only as good as their ship, ofcourse the tier 10 BBs camp in the corner, the Shima dies first despite of playing the easiest ship in the game and you are fighting against the tiers, the MM and the imbeciles in the own team. "Me converteded Shima with Dad's CC! Me stronk shiperererer. No refund option great!" Is it broken that good or bad luck with +2MM is the biggest factor for recent winrate when playing solo? The stupid Nachi mission is nothing in comparison to that. Well, at least sometimes I can try to yolo some Russian ship when +2 already shows an incoming autoloss, but in these misdesigned tiers Russian ships are less popular compared to the remaining tiers. Just picking a tier 10 still leaves reduced possibilities like either die along or wait in the corner with the noobs. Something must be done about this. It's ridiculous that such issues are not adressed, but if you call these lame noobs out for what they are you get another mute. Make bad players unable to sustain failing tier 10 all day long. Repair cost only works on the Shimas who die first until they drive their premium ship and with the BBs it fails, because these people start running as soon as the enemy gets 15-25km proximity on them. Some premiums like Tirpitz definetely need premium MM, because premium MM fixes the issue of +2 MM being the main force in winrate determination. Change some mechanics and ship values to combat corner camping BBs. [edited]. Most tier 8 matches are playable, but the 8vs10 autolosses are the biggest flaw in the game right now - a random diceroll determining whether you get a playable or unplayable game when queueing in a tier 8 ship.

Tier 8 unplayable - +2MM with [edited] toptiers
nerderklaus replied to nerderklaus's topic in Archive
The problem is that you usually can not compensate a retarded tier 10, but since they made high tier battleships so accurate they shoot you from ranges exceeding yours with less spread than you have at your ideal range (ship depending). Another big thing is that balancing is very poor in high tiers, f.e. one tier having one more DD and two more radars really can demonstrate some design failure. Ohhh before I forgot... One of the big Atago complaints is the heal. What happens at the 8->9 with cruisers? Oooops... Actually this one worked rather well since I got used to the amount of squadrons. For someone whose RTS experience is limited to singleplayer campaigns this takes some getting used to. The game must have been lying about my account status all year long... We got the same problem that we had with the E-100 players in WOT only that bigger vessels accomodate bigger idiots 90%+ of the time in WOWS. Though they obviously try to translate their old E-100 hidding behind paper tank into naval warfare. In some oddish theories +0, +1, +2 would be 1-1-1... Problem is when it's more like 0.05-0.35-0.6 with a ship that particulary depends on it. With a little abstraction Tirpitz would have characteristics like an IS-6 or KV-5 in WOT. Obviously I picked a clear case as example instead of arguing over details like it would be with a Warspite. That situation gets inverted upon reaching certain tiers. Ahhh, again some justifications for depency on such imbalances. In WOT you have the gold ammo to make up for such issues and you still can earn some credits on the side, quite often the cannons just get softstats from the tier ascension and HP is not that extreme. Sure there are some cases with armor and pen getting ridiculous in the corridors, but I am certain that people who just died to one tier 10 and play it all the time don't mind. Lets look a little deeper into that... Izumo -> Yamato | Conqueror -> FV215B Baltimore -> Des Moines | T-54 -> T-62A Don't even get me started with CV I am sure now the WOWS difference is smaller in your mind and when you switch to some WOT tier 10 there will be a sudden switch without any changes to the game. Tirpitz doesn't have the hydro, the guns have less penetration and they are infamous for the spread... Not bad when some Monty/Yama runs away and takes full advantage of the spread which includes lovely hidden sigmas... A tier 8 yolorushing with more points than a tier 10 from the same team that survived and such things are the issue with this. Everyone can be literally cripled by an RNG strike like someone somehow noobing 6 406mm shells almost hole-in-hole at 25km, but that doesn't happen all the time. The surviving tier 10 getting less points than some yolorusher however happens all the time. -
I would like mods to keep this separate from the main thread and open to have information that might be critical for some players easily available than a single post in a thread with thousands of posts. The event calendar says the June 14th is the last day of the event. Does that means that I can complete permanent missions until that day is over or is there an earlier deadline at which I have to spend my remaining diamonds? What is the dealine to spend diamonds anyway? I am asking, because I got some diamonds left, but if I can complete some permanent missions until June 14th is over I would spend the diamonds on something else.

Alright, thanks... They clarified now, but still the ending of the event sucks I just got confused based on... http://worldofwarships.eu/content/event-calendar/ which only mentions GNB in one spot -
Specific question about Grand Naval Battles
nerderklaus replied to nerderklaus's topic in General Discussion
The thing is I got 50 diamonds available right now, but depending on the time I might get more for another treasure I would rather get. This what concerns me. Do I need to invest the diamonds now. Can I still wait until the end of the time in case I get more? Stuff like this. It's again nowhere written in the event page when there actually should be a clear definition like "you got time until a certain point of time to spend your diamonds". -
The big difference is that WOT has no such issues like a ship with 12km range getting into a battle were every non-DD has 15-27km range...
-
It's not like the more experienced player can't pick a lower tier or never was given free low/mid tier premiums...
-
[edited]... Replace that with RNG and you got yourself a WG profile being weakned with any sort of troll division is like RNG. They won't totally do the right thing, but to be honest. When I see divisions with a tier spread they usually get +2MM. At least this makes platoons like a tier 10 ship and a tier 4 ship impossible.
-
It should at least be limited to a 1 or 2 tier spread of the division. It's extremely annoying to lose a game closely after that "mega balanced" and "unbiased" matchamker decided to balance one such division in one team by putting the second such division that queued into the same team...

Midway Missions NOT counting Kills...
nerderklaus replied to nerderklaus's topic in General Discussion
The kills definetely were done in IJN and US ships, but the relog obviously did cost me the reports. However, I think I got both DD as Atago. Edit: Seems like it is belated or something. It's not like other stuff wasn't belated. Well, the last killsteal mission already was too annoying I better concentrate on the cartoon ships. -
Well, obviously the game is as good at math as some people I had to do with in WOT... Mahan + Fletcher = 1 US Ship killed according to WOWS Hatsa + Izumo + Izumo = 1 Jap Ship killed according to WOWS Relog didn't fix it and some time has passed since the kills...

A while ago they announced "adressing losing streaks". Well, some converting lowbobs who only play platoon and other noobs probably go politically correct and everyone with a brain knows what this quoted statement means. It's pretty obvious that some things of this nature have been in the game for a long time, f.e. in BB vs BB you only getting overpens on the sides of the unanbled tomato, but the unangled tomato giving you a citacel through the bow or things like you shoot a tomato BB at max range where you notice your dispersion with your cruiser and at that range the tomato BB gets a salvo with close to no dispersion, f.e. 45% Iowa firing one turret at 19km and hitting all three shots at a dimater comparable to a cruiser turret. Don't even get me started with retarded citas through the deck at high ranges while manouvering which oddly only get hit by players below 48% winrate. I never set someone on fire with the first shot of the secondary, but it happened over 10 times that I got set on fire this year. I only caused one fire with a single DD HE, but I am set on fire like this multiple times per weak. I had streaks of 50 MK HE without causing a fire on ships that didn't burn, but I frequently got multiple fires with enemies salvos of which most shots missed... It's ridiculous. This new MM obviously is just about more wins for the noobs whenever I check profiles of some noob who got lucky salvos it looks like almost everything is red and orange, but recent winrate 53%. Instead of somehow dealing with people like corner camper BBs who effectively are as if the team would start with one ship less (f.e. making them lose lots of credits even with survival) it's obvious that the change on the MM had the following background. A corner camper BB got expectable results (though not as clear as they should be) and all that was intended with "addressing losing streaks" was getting such people free wins, f.e. the s-human who converted a Yamato so that at least one ship had 60k average damage before converting a Shimakaze on top of that. It's ridiculous. These noobs have RNG with which I would have more than twice the damage done and on top of these biased actions as if they were the old KV-1S there now is the new matchmaking. I mean like literally WOWS has the same issues as WOT. The damn noobs, too much RNG and uneven RNG. It's getting too retarded when the biggest determining factor in whether you win your game while playing cruiser is which team gets more DD to die within 2 minutes, which team gets less BB (due to them camping in the corner) and which team has less DD (due to IJN DDs staying around such battleships). It's ridiculous, f.e. when my teams made me lose some CV players I had lots of situations where I had the fighters follow some DD for more than 5 minutes and nobody hits them despite of all the shells landing in the water with clos to no spread. A great example would be the lowbob whose bad advice made my first 800 games as bad as they were. BB corner camper, CAs that never shoot AP, camping DDs, CVs that never have their planes together, but that new system suddenly gives over 52% recent winrate to this lowbob who nobody wanted to platoon with in WOT, because these platoons were fabricating worse results than solo. But WG seriously gifts free wins to people who make people start worse in a game than they would have with just figuring out everything themselves. Anyway, I think WG got their cards on the table as nobody cared when I send them evidence of other clans doing what caused UNICA and WMI campaign penalties... You got to call evil by it's name. Drop that crap like causing four MK losses me for me with 80k damage done average in row, because some corner camper BB wants even more unfair advantages than they have had before the new MM... Not being teamed up with a single BB that even remotely does what it should do while half the enemy BB do that is common in tiers 7 and higher. As usual with WG customers it gets more extreme with increasing tiers when humans would have improved just based on gathered experience. It's completely unacceptable that games happen like I play Atago and get matched up with the worst noobs (tier 10 converts), shoot off half a Shimas HP, solo a Hinderburg, die first in my team and these noobs still lose it with 8 enemies left alive or me and two randoms kill 6 enemy ships and the other bots in our team still lose it to us just because some corner camper BB is supposed to have free wins gifted from the MM so that it takes less time to unlock the Yamato and they can camp even further in the corner... I wouldn't have had the highest score in my ships so often with yolo rushes, if there was random MM or untempered MM. At least make CV the most potent class and no longer meet +2 ships so that I at least can play CV all the time, solo three enemies and when the loss is imminent sink the bastard who is toptier BB in my team, but camps in the corner.
-
How do games with uneven amounts of ships on both teams happen then? You making a condition for games to start that the amount of ships is even and then dividing that number by two is not the most difficult deal in coding. At least I think so with the amount of WOT games I have not ever giving me a single game with uneven team sizes and I never saw screenshots of that happening in WOT. I think that should qualify as considerable sample. You don't know WG, if you think they fully code everything by themselves when cutting corner by sharing elements from both games is doable. So there probably was something added...
-
When some people think balancing is all about ships... How can the following things happen? 22 ships -> 10 vs 12, 100% inexcusable and only explanable by tempering with player stats 6 tier 10 -> 2 vs 4, same as above One team more toptier AND more midtier 3-5 DD vs 0 DD One team having two toptier BB and a midtier BB, other team one midtier BB, a bottom tier BB and a one tier lower BB in trollplatoon Note: standard battle is more susceptible to rigged MM than domination... There should be an option to turn off standard like the defense crapin WOT
-
I mean granted, I was extremely pissed off, but I never saw such a bad recent winrate in any profile I looked in, but some had far, far worse recents in all the other values like damage or kills and still got more than twice the WR. It's ridiculous. In the last game yesterday I played that Soviet tier 7 CL (want to avoid typos) and kill an Atago and two Nürnbergs almost alone (97k damage inflicted) still a clear loss, 2/15 games won, in the mean time 30k NC wins 8/16 games. What else am I supposed to do and how come that most of these games certainly were unwinnable? Why didn't get a free win like these three ships that die while fighting 3vs1 and made their allies potencially get outnumbered somewhere else? The only one I would consider winnable was the one where I got detonated in the critical phase. In another game there might have been more possible, but our CV driving into the BB fighting zone and that start of the game while the enemy CV had a good game makes me seriously doubt I could have killed an Essex, an Ibuki, a Pensacola and two BB alone as Hipper... Spending most of the game within less than 10km around the enemy cap certainly was no camping.
-
[edited] Well, one team getting two more ships, even amount of tier 10 in total with one team getting two more and such obvious things happen, but the players do more and this is how the imbalance is created. Why do I get higher winrate with BB than with CA and DD? Because it's more likely not get a single useful random BB meaning with playing BB the chances of causing all components of a team to be there are higher which adds up more when it comes to how good a team is. Ships by themselves mean nothing as a player can make it like the ship wasn't there. This could be the Shima who dies first in a game without CV or the BB that camps in the corner, hits the one lucky salvo with two citadels and bang cap loss without even reacting to the cap... On top of that... One flank getting overrun without exegerration and all enemies there left at 95% or higher... Did your team practically have these ships or did it only have these ships theretically? If these people whose winrate is intended to rise only play for fun they wouldn't have cared about them losing more than they win when MM was more balanced or rather already giving them more than deserved. Well, a lot of things drastically increase the SD on what the same performance earns. Dispersion can turn the same shot into citadel or just overpen/spalling... Still I don't need that. When a BB fires a salvo with Zao dispersion on me I know that everything in his profile is red or orange and when checking postgame it allways turns out true. With the MM I get I got to go aggressive, because otherwise I will just end alone or the enemy gets all 3/4 capzones or caps my base... The main problem still is that killing the most dangerous enemies would have gotten me a pink paintjob every game I played today. [edited] [edited] The wows-numbers page makes it obvious. WR going down or stuck when you normalize it over 2 months, but everything else going up despite of worse RNG . There would be a correlation between these two, if there was no external tempering. I had 12/15 and pink damage values one or two days ago as well and did that change the 7 day recent? Why can both things varry so much when executing everything the same way? Such stuff would not happen naturally and why do the corner campers have never have less than 47% recent these days? The only explanation would be my BB that participates in a cap or leads the charge so that it takes instead of allied cruisers being played wrong and the other BB that ignores all objects and does nothing except dicerolling from maximum range is played right. The average values don't reflect that, but the battles today are going like acceptable game in damage regards followed by complete screw like a BB getting Zao dispersion at 17km (f.e. double citadel while pointed at enemy) or both teams attacking on different ways, deciding to return for defense, full-HP "allies" in range of base deciding to forfeit it, capped before I got in firing range... Just taking the BB as example, because the tactical component is most obvious with that class. It will still overchallenge some of the enablers here who act like "MM is not rigged, because I am even further above what I deserved than before".
-
I mean you obviously act like the Cologne New Years evening people who expect to get away with it, because of "cultural backgrounds" or "racist victims". All in all WR was somewhat correlating with the other crapon WOWS numbers until most recent patches. Then I asumed a streak of bad luck, but 36% 7d WR with a personal rating that is claimed "very good" on wows-numbers suggest that there is something in the bush. In the mean time every corner camper rises in winrate, 45% people get more rare and their other values did not change. Planes and such stuff could have changed for some of them, but most play IJN DD and IJN BB... A little comparison would be when I started WOT they still had their old MM so most of the time I was getting +3MM and +4MM... Guess not even as beginner with +3 and +4 most of the time it could drag me below 40% for more than a single day, 1/15 is a different impact than 1/12 to make matters even more obvious. It's obvious. It's the same like the Shima nerfs taking so long when every tomato converted a Shima after failing the converted Yamato. Why do I lose like 19/20 +2 games as tier 8 and why is the overall WR over 50%? Ooops, I wonder what BS you will quote to explain that. Add BB cannons that are more random than any cannon in WOT ever was and you got the full picture. It's just a recent development and I didn't see how bad and obvious it is until seing that 36% 7d with the other stuff looking good and going up. Usually "tinfoil" is the expression from extremely retarded people used for people who pop the bubble and make statements that turn out true a while later. So well, extremely retarded.
-
Well, I am just the messenger on this one, but guess what happens, if the new MM increases the winrate of a corner camper BB... Which is as if a WG employee would visit a corner camper BB watch him play and all the time say "You do a perfect job"... They won't change and sooner or later half the people in tier 10 battles are Yamatos who sit in the corner. With the math and looking in pre-battle screen for shipstats it's obvious that it's freeloaders who don't even have upgrades (yeah, RNG giving tomato without FCS Mod less spread than non-tomato with FCS Mod)... The thing is that, if they would play they might not be able to effort the next ship, but dodging repair and either someone else carries them or not then makes the purchase of the next ship possible. When I got a tier 10 game in the Atago or MK and got deleted in one BB salvo at 20km or more the player oddly is red or orange all the time. Why I never get deleted in one salvo from a green, blue or pink player, if there are no such things? But well, it's the opposition. When looking at your pic I would comment with good job. The opposition probably would act like "steroids, steroids, steroids", because they are pussies who can't work hard for a goal.
