Hi I have been looking to see if anyone has done music mods as I think it would be good to get the music from films like Sink the Bismark etc into WoW. Alas it seems no one has done so. I did music mods in WoT but the audio format has changed in WoW. The audio folder contains .bnk and .pck files. So I set about examining the largest and single .pck file. WOWS_SC.pck. So I did some research and found this guide here http://allsoundsasscreed.tumblr.com/post/44227512337/how-to-extract-audio-from-assassins-creed-iii if you follow it successfully extracts all the music files and converts them into playable .ogg files. I was a bit amazed to see there was 223 music files of varying length. I played a few files and some of the music I havent heard in the game (yet?). Therefore Part A is successful I have a way of extracting the audio files from the game. However I am struggling with Part B - to get the music files back into the .pck file. If anyone has any suggestions or can advise on possibly a tool that would do the trick then all we would need to do is re-write the ACIII tutorial to include Part A and B then everyone can make music mods. No I gave it a rest after an extensive research. Sound FX ones are slight easier to do music ones follow the same lines of process but the format of the pck files just got me. I was close really close but they have made it really difficult to change the music this time. WOT with FMod was pretty easy but this is total alien to that way.

Update: I think I've worked out now how to replace the music files. Its a bit harder than the sound effects (.bnk files) When I have time I will create a new thread with a tutorial .

Unfortunately the tutorial above is for .bnk files its slightly different for the .pck file and the same method doesnt work. Audio in WOW is created using WWISE tool and unless I can get the Project for it (which probably wont happen) or someone comes up with a way of editing the .pck file think I`m stumped. Bit of a shame as I've collected 34 naval war movie themes, I've identified the music in the .pck file just cant figure out how to replace the music in the file. Did some googling and for Total War the devs released the project files to allow people to create music mods using WWISE I doubt WG will allow that !
