Przeróbki forum z działu Nowi Gracze mnie też dzisiaj trochę zmieszało. Musiałem się drwala pytać gdzie jest mój temacik. Prawdopodobnie na dniach ten temat zamknę i założymy nowy. Dzisiaj jakieś rankedy może, może jakiś Czerwony Październik, może jakieś śmieszne i głupie okręciksy. Zobaczymy. Niestety nie mam RN BB, czego bardzo żałuję, no ale nic nie mogę tutaj zrobić. I tak bombarduje czerwonych pytaniami i prośbami. Złożyłem nawet niedwuznaczną propozycję, ale niestety bez skutku. -

Co to za skandal. Natychmiast na rankedy poszoł won. Masz tydzień na wbicie pierwszej rangi inaczej będziesz następny w kolejce do odrzucenia w znanym procesie rekrutacyjnym. A wszyscy wiemy że boisz się śmietników i bambusów. Więc ja bym mniej pisał a bardziej się sprężał z rankedami. -

Na razie to uspokoić waginki. Dishonored 2 jeszcze się nie przeszedł, RN BB wciąż nie mam, rankedy jeszcze muszą poczekać ze dwa tygodnie. Ale już niedługo, bo mi się już ckni za statesiami. A w międzyczasie muszę jakiegoś grafika ogarnąc do tych emotek. -
Of course you aren't! You don't see no problem with BB's at all, so why change anything right? I've already learned as much. You want to hardcap BB's per game, which is a crap solution adressing only random lol devastating strike from 18 km away, then adressing the real issue - uncontested BB domination. You need to remember, that despite I'm mostly a CA/CL player, I enjoy playing BB's too. This solution helps a lot with something every good player will eventually face at some time while playing BB, which is... boredom. BB's are extremely powerfull in right hands, but, at the same time, they offer little challenge and are much less thrilling to play then cruisers or destroyers. Now, this solution that I encountered in Red October brings a lot of depth to a boredom of gameplay that BB's offer. You need some skill to make a right decision, you need to estimate how much focus you will receive, can you push under fire, how much damage controls will you need later on. Remember that this is a teambased game. If your BB's will have more tools to push, if the tanking and pushing will be more encouraged by inherent design of the class, cruisers will much more benefit from this then they ever would from hardcap. You can't really camp far away taking shots at unsuspecting cruisers because there will be some return fire coming your way. And even one fire now is a pressure you have to deal with. This is a very good solution and a very subtle one, despite what GhostRider24 claims. I'll try to explain it a bit more precise. Cruisers fighting BB's is a matter of pressure. Cruisers don't have enough burst to take down a BB in reasonable amount of time. Even in ideal circumstances, when you can kite a BB 1 v 1 without anyone interfering, it's a long battle. We're looking at about 5 - 7 minutes of constant pounding. I've tested it against Czachcia in Kurfurst and Yamato, with me in Des Moines and Zao. With unlimited damage con, the only task a BB need to do is to maintain one fire on it's deck. That's all. This means that taking down a BB takes shitloads of time and even focus fire is often not enough, since saturation kicks in and damage drops way down. Now, with limited damage cons, you can't freely use them to choke any fire when you think you're safe from further harm. And, furthermore, it makes a cruiser more dangerous the longer the game lasts. It's still at disadvantage, but if you play right, you can find yourself against a BB that has only one damage con available and even none at all. This instantly adds a lot of dynamic into the duel, as it's a race against time, and the clock is ticking. However, the lower cooldown on such damage control ensure, that when you need it the most, it's propably there. You're pushing a flank when you're attacked by CV? Currently it's mostly tough luck, and therefore we can rarely see such push. Now? Well, screw it all, I'm pushing and I'll continue to push. Lucky 3 fires salvo can be taken down. It's just so much win in so subtle change i wetted myself yesterday when I saw it :D

Woah :D However. And this came to me as a complete revelation, as I didn't know it before: As a CC I recently got Oktiabrskaja Rewolucyja (or Red October as I'm calling it) for testing. Now, everything I write about her is still subject to change, as Red October is still in WiP phase. But. Hear this out: I got this ship for tests. My first thought was "meh". I'm not fond of RU navy, and apart from DD's I think their design is terrible and I don't like how their ships look. Still, I have to test it right? So I moduled her, flagged her, consumabled her and off to a battle. Few minutes in game I noticed something. Red October has only 5 Damage Control consumable. Yup. Only 5 with Superintendent. Damage Control is active for 15 seconds and has only 20 seconds cooldown. This is the ideal solution! This is just perfect solution for curbing that huge BB survivability a bit. It's subtle and has it's advantages, it's sooooo perfect. I mean, what you're supposed to do in a BB? Push and tank. Now if you're pushing and tanking for your team, this way you can effectively become veeeery tanky for a while, but in expense for future vulnerability. There is only 20s in which you're really vulnerable to fires and floodings, and this is not much. So you can push a flank much more efficiently. However, if the game prolongs for a long battle, you might found that you don't have damage cons left, and succumb to fire damage much faster. This is genious. It not only promotes active tanking and pushing, but also limits the "one man army" that BB's have now become. Look at this that way: you're sniping from 15 km behind your cruisers. You got shot at and get one fire. Will you put it out? And then you get 1 more fire, but propably will not be shotted at for some time - do you put your fires down? It shifts the usage of the skill from braindead into some actuall skill and thinking ahead! I don't know how much Red October is a testbed for future BB changes, but I do hope it's exactly that. Cause that change with Damage Control would be massive and super good. You just take the numbers of all games played in certain time and look which class was played how many times.

Co do Czerwonego Października. Po pierwsze, wszystko co napiszę odnosi się od okrętu wciąż w FAZIE TESTÓW, WORK IN PROGRESS, WIP, JESZCZE NIE SKOŃCZONE etc. To co jest ciekawe w Red October, to to na ile to jest okręt testujący rozwiązania do wprowadzenia dla innych BB. Sprawa wygląda tak. Ma dość mało HP jak na BB V tieru - 42 500 w porównaniu do Kongo 54 100, Texas 50 850 czy Konig 47 100. Wpisywałoby się to w trend zmniejszenia nieco ilości HP BBczków, który możemy też zaobserwować w przypadku przecieków z RN BB. Żywotność, w porównaniu do innych BB nie jest jakaś mega. Cytadel za dużo nie dostalem w tych paru grach, ale sporo dość bolesnych penetracji. Zmieniona "Rka" ma kapitalne znaczenie i jest zajebistym rozwiązaniem. Powoduje, że kampienie nie jest takie efektywne i nie da się tak oszczędzać HP. Bo co, zgasisz teraz 1 pożarek kiedy nie ma bezpośredniego zagrożenia że znowu będziesz pod ostrzałem? I musisz decydować kiedy tego użyjesz, bo jak w połowie bitwy nagle nie będziesz miał już "Rczki" to wtedy spadasz dość szybko. Co jest OMG dooooooskoooonaaaaałe. Nerf do przeżywalności BB? Biere za każdą cenę. Ale, jednocześnie taka "Rczka" wspomaga coś co powinno być przez BBczki wykonywane, czyli pushowanie. Przy cooldownie 20s da się świetnie oszczędzać HP kiedy zbierasz focus przy atakowaniu. JEstem zachwycony tym pomysłem, tak długo jak będzie on wprowadzony dla pozostałych BBczków. Co do mobilności. Okręt się żwawo zbiera i dobrze skręca, natomiast zbyt szybki to nie jest. Co do firepowera. Działa są bardzo celne, natomiast długo ładują, bo aż 32s, co dla 305 mm dział jest sporo powyżej średniej. Cytadel za dużo w pancki nie wbijemy, ale przy 12 lufach nie ma to większego znaczenia, bo same penetracje mocno bolą. Krążki ładnie kosi, ale tak jak mówię, przy mniejszej ilości HP i limitowanych "Rkach" trochę się to balansuje. Ma jakieś AA i ma jakąś pomocniczą, ale nic o czym bym pisał do domu. Generalnie, bardzo mi się to podoba. Mniejsza pula HP i limitowana "Rka". Potraktować takim zabiegiem wszystkie BBczki i jesteśmy mooocno w domu. @ghash. Może było w przeciekach, ale nikt o tym nic sensownego nie napisał. I nie, nie masz wyboru co do "Rki". -

Zasadniczo chciałem jutro, bo jak dostane te RN BB to bedzie co robić. Ale. Mozliwe ze niestety jutro nie dam rady, bo rano mam wyjazd do Gryfic, a po południu wyłażę na miasto (prawdopodobnie) plus jeszcze rodzina do mnie przyjezdza. Wiec, mozliwe ze niestety dopiero w piatek. Chyba ze nie dostane RN BB, to wtedy nie bedzie az dostane RN BB :D -

Yup, pretty much summed up my view - average Joe should be kept away from any balance issue as far as possible. And nice remarks about patronising and "stats" card. So, how about you bring some facts here eh? I mean, your argument basically boils to: I played cruisers and I think I do good in them -> therefore cruisers are good, and BB's are fine. So why is there a BB limit on any competitive event? Why developers of this game admit that BB's do too much and are too forgiving? Why ranked games see very little of cruiser class? Why there is constantly growing number of BB players, despite BB's being much less represented then 2 other classes, CV's excluded? Buuuut, we all know this isn't going to happen, right? This is not EVE, or even World of Warcraft, this is WG. In EVE developers base most of their balancing issues on feedback from good players, deeply involved in their game, and their game, despite being pretty far away from casual gaming, is very successfull and unique, and is still growing, not declining. In WoW they took the "rotation" style, meaning that with every patch some classes gets nerfed, and some gets buffed, thus ensuring that each class is being god tier, good tier, average tier and low tier in terms of power. And WG? They buffed Tirpitz because of...? They buffed Montana and Iowa armour cause of...? So, yeah, again. "I don't see a problem cause I do reasonably well" argument is not only shallow, without any merit apart from subjective feeling, and is also just misleading and wrong. So, do you care to back up your claims by anything, or are we just discussing subjective feelings?

Bravo! And the story man, it made me cry, how you overcome the terrible obstacles placed by WG in front of you and achieved the Gold Award For Best Man ever. I expect a movie in cinemas soon, starring Leonardo di Caprio as mariouus and Gary Oldman as Dropsiq. The thrilling story of how you learned to play cruisers on average level. Totally would watch. Of course, if you have such experience in cruisers, then it must be true. All previous ranked seasons (apart from last one with Fiji and Belfast), when you had BB's and DD's fighting other BB's and DD's mean nothing. Of course the amount of players playing BB's is also nothing. Well. In face of such strong facts and arguments as "I did fairly okayish in them" I must conceede. BB's are totally fine.

That it has been said means nothing. It has also been said that fires are OP and need to be nerfed ASAP. It is just funny for me, when I come here and show pretty hard facts and the only response I see is "oh no, everything is fine, it's just the numbers of BB's per game". You say that 2 cruisers burn BB "in no time at all". and I show you a game that 5 ships took on one BB for more then 5 minutes and lost 4 ships in process. You say that cruisers can evade BB's, and I show you why it's no argument at all. As far as I'm concerned, just cut HP of BB's by 15 - 20%, minimise their AA to very weak levels, lessen the armour of BB's to make them more susceptible to heavy damage, make fires medium damage. Propably. Cause I'm just guessin here. I don't have the statistics they have. However, considering how they fucked up a lot in the past, I think, with the resources they have, I don't think I would do much worse. And yes, I agree. We propably came to a such moment, that there is no good way to change it. So I think we can see more and more BB's every patch and less and less cruisers every patch. Cruiser gameplay will devolve to RN cruisers and sniping from other map. DD's will struggle to do anything engaged in their own DD mini wars. Buuut, who the [edited]cares right? The most important thing here is that BB's will not be nerfed. Screw the game itself. You see, I'm mostly a cruiser player, so certainly I'm somewhat biased towards that class. However, I tried to be objective on those forums. I said long time ago that AFT buffing range of light cruisers was wrong and needed to be taken away. I was against buffing radar cooldown. I was saying and writing a lot about the need to nerf invisifire. Cause when I see something that is just not healthy for the game, I speak the truth. But BB players? No, [edited]all that. I just want my BB to explode everything and everyone. 41% players are picking BB's? Oh that is fine, it's because BB's are so cool, they aren't horribly overpowered, not at all. AP bombs on US CV's? Oh no, it's totally unbalanced. Devastating a cruiser every 30s? Completely legit and working as a charm. BB players can't be bothered with learning anything, can be bothered by planes, by fires or by torpedoes. The best solution is to pick more juicy cruisers instead of BB's. This way I can heal more fire damage and deal much more damage! Great fuckin solution, just plain dumb.
