  1. Ye, that was pretty good game, although we lost. I think I didn't lose a star for that one. Shame our Nurn was afk, we might had a chance to win with him :< Also, I was a bit too aggressive with Indi in this one, still learning this bad boi. But, gj Xevious!

    New Orleans still worth it?

well. It's pretty fun that premium VIII CA's are beating reg's in every aspect. Hipper is very good, but, s every german, he excels in randoms, when you can surprise peps with 10k+ salvoes on broadside. Atago is bestest in all circumstances. But, as we all know, p2w is absent in this game, soooo...

NO the best? Well now, I know a certain german marvel of technology that thwarts NO in every aspect.
  4. Yo, I gonna let you finish, but DM is the bestest of the best You don't love her, she won't love you. And she will grow fat. And depressed. And it's all your fault. In the meantime, met robihr on rankeds. He played well and their team won. But, alas, that was my last defeat that day, and further 10 games provided straight wins. Also meet Teob_VG, twice. First game was pretty boring, as we covered behind some rocks, taking some pew pews at us. Second was pretty nice though. Teob team was winning initially, but BB's left me to my devices, which allowed me to flank deeply. This costed them Fuso, Indianapolis and Schors, and prevented from capitalising on push. Nice game!

    Yorck vs Pensacola

No problem. We have our dosage of humour on our section. Apparently, the new ranked games are just announced (right on time!): The text can be translated to: That is all! Now you're ready in 4th season of ranked games, climb the ladder and to earn loot and glory on seas and oceans of... WORLD OF TANKS!

    Yorck vs Pensacola

Now. You visited the new car center looking for a new baby to drive. First, you look at Yorckcedes Benz. A nice limo, not too fast, turns well, it's engine sure have some oomph. It has it's flaws, on low gears the engine whirres too loud, on high it doesn't provide as much accelaration and speed as it should sometimes. Then you look at Pensaghini Citadelago. It's so good looking, that everybody instantly turns your attention towards you. The engine is so good, that you just texted to Monica Bellucci, that you're not interested in that date. She turns so well, it actually gave you boner. When you ask for safety, the dealer starts talking about life insurance program they provide. On a more serious note. Pensacola is a better ship imho, although to do very well in Pensa, you have to be very experienced CA driver. Her mobility is incredible, and guns amazing. She's a deadly beast, much more dangerous than Yorck, although is much more difficult to play. Yorck has one obvious advantage over the Pensacini - torpedoes. Situational, but can be helpful in a variety of situations.

    New Orleans still worth it?

Yup. When it's top tier it is workable, especially if there's small BB numbers on opposing team. However, now we have Indianapolis, which is extremely good for it's tier, so after Des Moines, I rate Indi second.

    New Orleans still worth it?

I bought Balti back, but it has this poor characteristic, that it stays in port right next to Des. And somehow, my mouse can't seem to click Baltimore, and I always end with Des. Curious!

True. But it's sad to stay for too long and watch how the game you like become more and more screwed and more and more a moneygrab production. So if we won't be able to change anything, we will at least make a big boom leave I'm missing the details, but I don't think it will affect EN part of the community this time.

    Zao post 5.6 stealth nerf

Yup, I was referring to what Spithas wrote. [EDIT] To clarify, Spithas was referring to the inability of brawling in Zao, and is right. Zao will lose every brawl due to low HP pool, bad gun arcs, bad torpedo angles and too low reload for a brawl.

    Zao post 5.6 stealth nerf

Spot vs spot range Zao will never win against Des. Minimum difference in spotting range leaves Zao with no time to react, since he won't be able to turn away. Furthermore, after DM being spotted, in situation we know that we're against Zao, we can just use radar after 3 secs, and Zao will be spotted. Any situation which leaves to Zao stumbling upon Des in stealth encounter will leave Zao in huge disadvantage. Only solution is to try and push Des into yolo torping.

    Dear Wargaming Employees

Yes, but profits can vary. Receiveing 1000 € is a salary and might leave you biased and not honest. Receiveing Indianapolis or other prem vessel of choice once in three months will leave you with a feeling your role was ackowledged and rewarded no? Will it undermine your credibility as a contributor? I seriously doubt it. I do also know contributors who make monies for their reviews of WG related stuff. But mostly it's streamers - they profit on their popularity, rather then role though. All in all, I think rewards should be "material" not "financial". Ie. You do a review of certain ship pre-relese? Ok, when the ship will be released, you get the one you reviewed as a reward. You translate stuff from RU? Ok, here's month of premium time for your effort. You do vids and guides on YT and forum? Aight, choose a flag bundle from our prem shop. This is cool, this is what I would want, this is what I would do. But, I be completely honest. I think that we will have to resolve to "creating a problem" solution in the end I kinda don't believe in miracles Which is sad, cause I liked this game

    Dear Wargaming Employees

From what I understand, Falathi and other mods, are also responsible for moderating other forums, not only WoWs. Additionally, they are responsible for other activities. Such situation is unnacteptable. My experience with different companies I worked with, with different crowdfunding projects I was part in gave me one, single lesson - you don't leave one question unanswered, one idea not covered, one feedback opinion not passed. Communication is an absolute principle in having a prospering and satisfied community. Alas, this is not the case, and EN section, although faring better, is pretty far from ok. I think it's doable. Furthermore, I think that in case of WG it's essential. It's not like anyone want to take advantage of "early access" to news. We are a part of community, we want to see this game grow and prosper, developing. Why not use 20 - 30 members of community to help you with mundane translating task? Hell, my english is far from perfect, but even I would be able to translate simple patch notes, and sure as hell I wouldn't mistake Atago for USS Atago. We have a lot of guys who are willing to help, why not let them actually participate in growth of the game? Failing time after time, delaying news cause you lack hands on deck? Yes, I can symphatise with making a mistake. But I can't symphatise with not taking responsibility for it. I can't symphatise with statement: "ok, we screwed up, oh well". When I and IwonTheInternet organised this small 2 vs 2 tournament, we made some mistakes. After tournament ended Iwon was supposed to send prizes, but we miscommunicated and Iwon went on holidays the same day. So, I could say, "oh well, you'll have to wait for Iwon". No. I paid for the prizes from my pocket and later we balanced stuff out. I don't expect Falathi to pay from his own pockets. But I expect WG to do so, and I expect Falathi to go to "sales manager" and explain why they screwed up and take responsibility for it. By default maybe no. But they should have some "powers" as well as they should have some responsibilities. Because they essentially do WG job. They cater to the needs of community, they fill the empty space left by WG employees. WG can't/won't hire enough employees to cover that role? Ok, let's create Community Contributor role! Yes, that's ok, I can understand that. But when you use this solution, the "rewards" are responsibility of the company who lacks the manpower to properly cover the needs of "their" community. We, players and members of community, should pay monies to company, not doing some "ściepas" (volountarily gathering funds) for contributors - we shouldn't, and contributors wouldn't accept them! Company should reward contributors equally to the role and activity of the contributor. And no, having "early access" to some ships and content in game is not a reward. It's also a job - you as a supertester should also realise it. Well, I also have almost finished guide for US CA, around 10 pages of word document But I won't publish it until the situation clarifies itself. Providing comprehensible guides is a coordinator responsibility. Now, we can support each other, I, player and community member, can support community coordinator by sharing my experience and time to present said guide. But, in return, I expect much bigger level of activity from coordinator, since I do this guide in my free time, and he should do his as on principle, since it's his job. Tutorial vids are ok for "entry" level of players, and are more marketing then valuable content. We realise WG is not "the bad guy", but we also realise, that WG intentions might be different from community intentions. We play this as a hobby/relax - they make money from it. So while we might spend our free time for creating a guide, WG might just perceive this title as a moneymaker, not worth investing in anything, apart from absolute minimum. If that's the case, why should I spend my time here, when I can go and spend it on other titles, which are going to develop not dwindle? Well, they're not exactly threats We can't threat them They will just ban us and that's it. What we can do, is to promise them a "creation of a problem". Cause if they will ban us, they will effectively remove 90% of any valuable content and feedback, as well as 90% of individual initiative from their forum community. It is not much though, as it will cater to what, 50 - 100 less customers immediately? Yes, but it will also remove the only pillar on which the game can develop - community, and will be a clear signal - we don't want to resolve your issues, we will just remove them since you're a nuisance.

    Dear Wargaming Employees

To keep you posted, here is a translation of our talk with CC from polish section, most of it regards PL section issues, but, like I mentioned, some of them relates to wider EU Community problems: 1) Forum moderation: At present, PL forum is moderated only by Falathi. Theoretically there are few other mods, but we are yet to see them at work. Our proposition was to allow our Contributors to do some of the mods work as well as make forum moderation their responsibility. We had some posts showing real life pictures of one of the PL section user in trollish manners - such posts should be sanctioned and their posters should receive immediate perma - ban. Currently, usefull Forum content is terribly low - excluding current "spamming/trolling" situation, which we regard as WG CC own fault for ignoring our feedback earlier. 2) News Policy Currently, access to news is restricted to WG staff. Therefore, they can't share it with us for translating help. Falathi, and propably up to three other mods, translate those texts - and situation being as it is, they're flooded with other work. The results are clear (yesterday example with "placeholder picture"). We suggested hiring additional peps for translation (unrealistic), or sharing the news feed with CC so they can translate those news for users. 3) Contests and finances (aka monies) That was the trigger of whole situation. We had a contest going on PL section "sinking the Yamato". Basically, you had to assemble a team of few dudes (5 IIRC), take some ships (there was a point limit and tier limit), and you had to take on mighty Yamato and few destroyers. Those who were able to sink Yamato should receive prizes. Alas, that was not to be. We learned that actually, PL CC's miscalculated or whatever, and they exceeded their budget for prizes, and thus, they couldn't send the participants their rewards. This situation is outrageous. I've mentioned that a lot of PL users actually made their own contests and giveaways, which were paid from their own pockets, so we wont accept something like was written above. We expect a backup from WG - codes, dubloons, prem ships for giveaways are to be enabled for different active users and clans leaders. Those rewards are meant to be given as a prizes for various contests PL section users organise. 4) Community Contributor roles On PL section we achieved a pathological situation, in which Contributor title and role is only given to youtubers and streamers. You can be a valuable member of community, but you will have problems receiving contributor status if you aren't streaming or making vids. Example - Carnotzet from EN section, which did amazing work with translating news and Q&A's from various RU sites is a Contributor. His job is also much more valuable for community then another streamer with 10 - 40 viewers. This title should force you to do some "work" for community, moderation, translation, and active forum presence, above many others. It should also provide substantial rewards, as effectively a contributor is doing some of the stuff WG coordinators should do. But since not enough of them are employed/not enough time is available for them to participate in the community activities - need for more awarded and responsible contributor role surfaced. 5) Guides We had a situation recently, where a user from PL forum, grinded his way up to Shokaku, and he didn't even know about fighter strafing ability. There are no valuable guides available to new players at all. Coordinators should of course remedy this, but they weren't able to do so for more than a year, so we understand it above their abilities. To remedy this, we proposed that coordinators/community will choose a experienced player and offer him a chance on doing guide in exchange for some reward (premium ships, premium time etc.). Some of the players were already very active in guide sections, but a comprehensible guides for each class, not to mention each ship is missing. 6) Future events and endgame We share our valuable opinion about GNB's and Team Battles. We advised to invest in some hammers and to pound into "sales" guys heads, to never again use the phrase "It's a secret!". We accented how important for this game is to add Clans and to repair Team Battles. However, we also accept, that coordinators have zero possibilities to actually hasten or change this, so we just wanted to be sure that our "urging" will be properly presented to higher management. Game is dying, community is dwindling, adding content is too slow and not exactly wanted (RU CA fail). 7) Removing the bans from users participating in "Ride or Die of the PL community" action 8) Regular meetings with coordinators As active players and customers, we want to know what is happening, and in which direction the game, and our suggestions go. We want such meeting at least once a month. That is mostly it. Another meeting in which PL CC will relate what he was able to do will be held on 18.06 around 20:00. This time we won't accept "we passed your observations and suggestions higher/soon/can't tell/will be done later this year" - we want solid results and decisions. If our expectations will not be met, we will continue to disturb PL section of forums in less civil manners. Right now every question that is being asked on PL section is immediately redirected to support. So, that's what's currently going on PL section Translated from relation taken by PancernyAgrest

    New Orleans still worth it?

I always said that due to Repair Party ability and range Baltimore is better then NO. And I always said, and I hold this opinion, that it's the weakest of tier IX CA's. I'm so mad, cause the NO class is my favourite CA class, with San Francisco being my favourite cruiser. And in game, they are just below average, and boring too boot. I bought is and sold it like 6 times already. But this time, I sold it for good. [EDIT] Checked you stats, seems that NO is for you what Baltimore is for me A red dot in the sea of purple
