Atago displaced 14.000 fully loaded, and Edinburgh 13.000.

They're designated "light" cruisers for their guns, not for their protection or displacement. They were reasonably protected for a little less then 11.000 tons displacement, and extremely well compartmentalised (that's the proper word? bulkheads and stuff ) So, Fiji, would be much better protected then Pensacola for example. That would make them OP instantly. I do hope for arcs somewhere between Des Moines and Hindenburg. So, not as easy to hit, but not as orbital either.

And still, I think that making such statements without any thought of how to interpret those statistics is flawed. Atago clearly would be in bad need of a buff - and I don't know about you, but I feel Atago is god damn strong right now. Yeah, but Omaha has 6 guns which can shoot forward, when you have 7 guns full broadside. I mean, ok, if Omaha skipper is weak player - he's food to good gunboat captain. But isn't it the same with every ship? Omaha class cruisers are best DD hunters on tier V - fast, good mobility for torpedobeats, compact and good firepower in every direction. It's a good, universal cruiser.

Ok, I recently got Zao, so I got 3 tier X CA's, and I find Des to be the best. He's tough, versatile, with huge dps. It's very skill dependent, but I feel my impact on the flow of the game is the biggest in Des. Now, I can't be 100% sure, since I might be biased, I admit it. Tier VIII and IX are underwhelming, that I also admit. But overall, I think it's really fine line, with no big issues, although not overpowered also. But, since it depends on skill so much (mainly cause you don't have "rescue from sticky situation tool" - torpedoes), the stats are below average. It's easy to do damage in Zao, it's so so easy. It's tough to do the same in Des, but when you learn it - Zao pales in comparison.

And at the same time she is best to actually kill a gunboat DD because of her RoF and reliable HE. I think it balances her out, if anything.

There are few. Des Moines can brawl pretty good, even with BB's (well, Montana and Yamato are out of question, but other BB's are doable). Baltimore also does a pretty nice job. Hindenburg and Roon also can brawl, with Hindenburg significantly better due to 2 sets of torpedo launchers, and 2 turrets front. On lower tiers Cleveland does a nice job. Overall, quite a few cruisers can brawl, even with BB's, but my bet would be on Des Moines.

Często psuje to wizerunek okrętu - Colorado i Nagato zanim zmienili właściwości kadłubów (dla niekumatych - najlepsze kadłuby na niektórych pancernikach proweniencji I WŚ i okresu międzywojennego miały amunicję bez kołnierzy - nie penetrowały burt BB a i z CA były problemy), Pensacola, Furutaka etc. A to że skaczę po zagraniu 30 czy iluśtam bitew na następny okręt - bo co mam robić Grindować okręt którego tak serio serio nie chce mi się nawet mieć? Zao jest ok, ale nie jara mnie jego playstyle, tak samo jak nie jara mnie playstyle Ibuki. Także - nie trolluje. Ibuki jest bardzo mocny. Na maksymalnym zasięgu walisz w BB salwy po 7k z pożarem. Masz dobre torpedy, dobre camo, relatywnie dobrą zwrotność. Tu, moja opinia, Zao jest lepszy, bez dwóch zdań, ale to nie jest nowa jakość jak np. Baltimore i Des Moines. To nie jest okręt który nagle sprawi że zaczniesz wyciągać gry. To jest long range spammer w mecie która już się na takim gameplayu nie opiera. Jedyne dlaczego utrzymuje się na pierwszym miejscu to relatywna łatwość z jaką zadajesz damage. Ale dokładnie to samo robisz Ibuki, to samo. Masz 2 lufy mniej i wolniejszy reload, ale grasz dokładnie tak samo. Mogami był przykry. Na Ibuki spokojnie możesz walczyć na 16 km, a jak trzeba to możesz podejść bliżej dzięki camo. Serio - dobry okręt i jak ktoś lubi IJN krążki, to polecam nie przeskakiwać free expem

The issue is real man, I also grind US CA's on RU server for some kind of tournament they brew, and tier IV - perfectly ok. Almost only on tier IV, maybe one or two games higher. Tier V? VII all the time. And let me tell you, playing stock Omaha, with 11 km range, vs freakin Myokos and Nagatos was testing my mad skillz to the limit. I think that out of, 20 games, around 3 were pure V, 3 up to VI and rest had at least 4 tier VII's in it. And I also liked tier V, with my two favourite cruisers, the dreaded M and M duo (marble + murm). But since I have to fight Indianapolis and Myoko - I rarely visit it now. The weird stuff is, tier VI again is supper healthy. My Warspite games are almost all on tier VI, maybe one in five is higher.

Des ma mocne AP, szczególnie na bliższych odległościach. Ma taką martwą strefę w okolicach 11 - 13 km a później z kolei ładnie wbija przez pokład. Dobre celowanie i odpowiednie przewidywanie i wchodzą. Trochę szkoda że nie udało się tych 300.000 zrobić, ale bitwa dobra i nie wszyscy byli tutaj słabymi graczami.
