No, frankly I didn't even watch the replay so I didn't know what ship he was playing. I automatically assumed it was a DD because they are the most loud babies complaining about CVs Well....it must be hard not being able to wreck everything in your path because of CVs in your way, right? -

First of all, there's no need for insults...... Second, there's this thing called team play, you know, where BBs provide big guns, cruisers AA and DDs concealment and torpedo strike. Third, have you ever heard of smoke screen? Try it, you might like it. CVs not only are not OP in this game, but I dare to say are actually the most underpowered ship class right now in the game and will get worse after update 0.8.5 More often than not, CV get into battles where they face 2 tier higher ships and can't do jacksh** to anyone. These rare occasions where you get to actually contribute to victory are a break for a CV player. Also, I find it more annoying when a DD smokes up and unleashes wall of skill towards me and I cannot do anything. That is imo bigger bull than any CV. I constantly see DDs torping their enemies (especially BBs) with a wall of torpedoes and I don't see anyone complain on the forum about that, so how about you quit your whining and next time stick with someone with better AA to protect you.- 462 replies

Wrong. CV's are class of ships that inflict damage with planes. If other types of ships (Battleships, cruisers and destroyers) can have unlimited shells and torpedoes they fire/launch at one another then carriers as well have to have equal damage inflicting potential as all other ships. All of those ships can fire their main guns and torpedo tubes as long as they are alive(unless they become incapacitated but hey, how often does that happen especially with all the upgrades and perks...), CV that gets deplaned needs to wait...like what....minute and a half per one plane to be replenished?? If a squadron has 8 planes that is over 10 minutes!! Imagine if Battleships and cruisers had reload of 12 minutes or so. Please explain how every CV hater thinks CV's are OP? Is it OP when a tier 8 carrier tries to attack like, Des Moines or Worcester and his planes don't even reach the target? Yep, that's a definition of "OP" in my book. Edit: The most important thing that I think needs to be the end result with this whole carrier rework, is equal position. There should not be one instance where one class of ships is underpowered and other is overpowered. Having that in mind, non CV players need to have chance to fight back plane attacks with more control and reliability, while CV players need to have a chance to, using skill of course, minimize plane losses and avoid most of the AA damage. Just like destroyers and cruisers can dodge inaccurate battleship salvos fired at them while battleship player can one-shot any cruiser with well-aimed shot, the same must go for CV and other ships. It's all about equal chance.

But what I find the most bullsh** about this is the fact that it's so easy to dodge torpedoes even if you're in a battleship. Planes get spotted from 10 km range and enemies like the switch *click* start turning or even if they're not turning immediately, you drop torpedoes, large battleship like north carolina or alabama/massachusetts simply...like....dodge....all of them.....as in, yeah right.

I'm sorry but you're full of [insert bad word here]. First of all this is not WoT and nobody cares about the rating. Second of all, not one player of this game has started playing it and immediately became a pro overnight. Also the fact that 12 players enter a battle against 12 other players does not make it a team game. You can have team, but if those players are not coordinated then you don't have a team, but a bunch of people playing a broken telephone game trying to figure out what each player wants to do and all in a couple of minutes....

I am personally more disappointed by skillful players that achieve the most in the battle (most experience, most kills, most damage....) and then they start insulting and abusing me or other players who are still new and learning. I admit, I am new and get bad results most of the time because I find it difficult to learn how to be good in this game. It's also a drastic change from what I recently played (WoT) because I was pretty good in WoT and it took me years before I got my skills to be above average there.... I don't care if a random average joe insults me if he had average or same result as I did, but it's disappointing when skillful players insult you and tell you to "git gud"....they're kinda forgetting that they used to be new too.....

I don't know how people who play DDs complain about CVs being OP and all.....literally at tier 8 every time I try to attack a DD they are so stealthy I legit spot them only when it's too late to commence an attack, or even if I do start attack in time they dodge all the rockets/bombs I drop on them. And then even if I hit something they quickly smoke up and abracadabra invisible...... I'd go as far as to say DDs are the ones that are OP in WoWS not carriers. I can defend against carriers better than against DDs. At least you can shoot down planes and even if they hit you they don't do as much damage....DD unleashes 20 torpedoes in your direction and even hydro doesn't help you when you rudder shift time is slower than the glacial movements on antarctica.......

Read that again, then check both of ours stats one more time. Also I don't play only CV's I play other type of ships and for that matter I can counter and out-smart enemy CV players most of the time(you know...because I am one...and I know lot of tricks they may use)

^^ this It should either last longer and heal the same amount per second or alternatively be replaced by some kind of damage reduction for a short period of time, something like 30% less damage taken from all AA for like 5-10 seconds

That makes no sense, new mechanic of AA shooting at 1 plane at a time would make plane heal consumable obsolete You would either be healing one plane or none at all because it would simply be too small hp for one plane to be healing it in time before it gets destroyed...

I was in a match couple of days ago, I tried using GZ's db against cruisers....result was overpen, bounce or total miss every time. Continued using rockets and torpedoes for the rest of the game, and last kill that scored us the 1000 points was mine, using db on République, scored a citadel with a bow approach angle. That means I penned tier 10 BB with those AP bombs, but not cruisers. That means the buff to bombs(pen and speed) was too much. I need more firepower against cruisers and dd. I already have torpedoes for BB....And also tried to recreate the drop in training room with an inactive unarmed bot and for about half an hour or more I've tried recreating the drop from same angle and did not score one citadel, not ONE.

What I meant by this is, when things change, you either adapt, or cry and [edited] about it on the forum. You think I don't mourn the times WoT was in the beginning, when there was no soviet bias, no imaginary/fantasy OP tanks and such? I do, do I [edited] about it online? I don't. Simple. I don't get it why people find easier to constantly complain on everything. Adapt, change your playstyle, if that's too hard for you grey cells then find something less of a challenge for yourself and/or something that requires less brain power.

If you mean info on changes to GZ, speed was nerfed, top speed is no longer 260 kts, rather around 226 kts (220 without the captain's speed perk whatever), dive bombers attack pattern has been nerfed so that bombs are now inefficient and can't score a proper damaging hit worth the time and effort of attacking....(either overpens that do 700 per bomb, pens that do max 2310 if you don't hit citadel and 1 in a million citadel hits that do max damage of 7k per bomb), dispersion of bombs (aka RNG) when dropping bombs has been nerfed so often a fully aimed drop will result in complete miss........ Everything else is pretty okay, good luck actually dealing any significant damage to enemy ships with (at best) 3k dmg per drop.....on the ships that have over 50k health and rather healthy AA

I agree with the pause for using certain squadron immediately after landing, it would make spamming torpedoes a la "flying shimakaze" not possible. Also, regarding aircraft spotting....you guys all realize that.....aircraft's first purpose as a war innovation was to scout and spot for allied forces(WWI, seriously, look it up), and then gradually they were being armed with weapons to actually fight, you do know that right? Another thing is, I can recall that WG was announcing 45 sec delay for launching planes from a CV at the beginning of the battle, what happened to that? I don't see it. And as a CV player I say that would be fair to implement.

I can't be bothered to write full scientific articles here like everyone else here lol but I can definitely agree that because of small % of players using dirty CV strategies (slingshot drops.....flying shimakaze....) those of us who want to play CV, as they were originally intended to be played, cannot, because AA is constantly getting buffed, CV are constantly getting nerfed, I respect the initiative, the will, to change things from how they were to something better, something that your other infamous game WoT is severely lacking......but for the love of all that is holy, whatever you do, you must test it. I highly doubt that people who tested update 0.8.4 and gave positive feedback are of sound mind because db are ruined(can't speak in the name of all CVs, only for japanese up to tier 8 and GZ). So much so that I've legit lost any will to play this game. And to make things even more sad, I've started playing this because I stopped playing WoT because of the same reason: disappointment.....

I must add, NEVER have I in any battleship fired a full salvo from all guns in any battleship I've played before the russians were introduced and did any more than 15k damage including citadel hits..... less than 100 battles in both Pyotr and Izmail, I was easily able to score hits of 30k damage at broadside cruisers and battleships.....I hope WG is not gonna go WoT route and create soviet bias of its own

Actually I haven't even played WoWS since I made the thread. Idk, it just killed my will to play since the new CV nerf....spent 50€ on a CV that got nerfed so hard it's irrelevant now I just.....hope that they fix GZ soon because I was really looking forward to playing with it and all I get is 10+ defeats in row simply because its vital aspect of the attack power is completely destroyed(DB).... -
I'm 100% sure it's not my internet connection (on my side), because I've never ever before had any connection problems, it's worth to mention I play a lot of online multiplayer games that require a good internet connection and never had any problems (i.e. world of tanks, warthunder, DOOM......list goes on and on....) Never have I experienced any internet problems or lags, and during the game server keeps kicking me out resulting in me running into enemies and getting killed, or my planes flying uncontrollably over enemy AA and getting shredded, and sometimes multiple times in one battle not just once.....I know about recent server maintenance and issues, wargaming's compensation and all but, can we expect solution to that problem any time soon? Also sorry if there is already a thread regarding this topic, because I wasn't able to find anything about this....

What does the server maintenance have to do with the problem at hand? My only explanation is that the problem is on Wg's side (hence the "server maintenance")...? And they had several server maintenances over the last couple of weeks and problem still troubles me.... -
Revert Graf Zeppelin changes to dive bombers....you quite literally killed that CV....
