Ranked Battle MM according to player's skills.

Ranked is not skill based. It takes people available from your bracket (bronze, silver, gold) and then equals out the ship types, not including sub-classes like hybrids, gunboats, radars, etc. Depending on how deep the season is in, all the "good" players are already in gold, while all the "bad" players or late-comers are in bronze. Sadly said "bad" players can just spam enough games and eventually get carried through enough wins in a row, so that they progress without effort or improvement. As snowballing and game impact is much higher per ship, due to smaller team size and higher per-player influence, this can lead to horrible games decided in the loading screen or create hugely unfavourable situations when a player makes an early oopsie. In earlier iterations there were people with sub 40% WR ranking out in gold but with 250+ games per season and for many the mode is just an easy way to get some steel and dabloons on their second monitor. -

Played 10 games in Cherbourg with a Balti and Mainz div. 9 Wins, we faced a lot of weird ships but the strongest contestors seem to be other Cherbourgs and P. Bagration. Now I have Brest so no more need to play Brawls.

This is not as horrible as it sounds, other implementations have hurt WoT, the playerbase and the game much more, including the season pass and exclusive clan rewards, which put a high emphasis on widening the gap between new players and players with many resources even further. WG tried to pull out said resources with auctions, but the whales have so much stored and just keep on whaling more. Some claim WoT to be P2W, but it is actually P2StayCompetitive, as you start losing out on effectiveness, the second you cant economically support it, which in itself is just not time effective anymore. WoT Plus is basically their own Amazon Prime goodies, without Bezo's cut of the profits, the benefits are small, the vehicles mediocre, but please keep spending money.

Manfred is "the worst" T10 carrier because the other ones put the bar pretty high and his reliance on MM, drop RNG and people doing kickflips to avoid your drops and sailing away unpunished by your 25km Yamato are the main issues. You just have to accept you cant do much against certain ships, such as French BBs or DDs, but you can still harrass and provide support against DDs with your torps and most importantly your speed. Get your CV game on point, read the game and act accordingly to your carriers strenghts. Dont try to fill roles you are not supposed to, this will only cost you planes, possibly a victory and nerves. Also, AP rockets certainly deal more than HE rockets, Manfred can chunk a DM, Moskva or Venezia for 30k citadel damage while an HVAR Midway with the same luck gets a 10k strike with maybe a fire. The times of triple dropping a Kremlin for 3x30k may be over, but Manfred can still hit all BBs except the french, real hard. Unless RNG says no and you get 1 Overpen and 2 Torpedo Protection hits, but sometimes you manage to squeeze in 50k citadel damage with a full squad and heal on an isolated BB, which only gets more likey the more they lose AA. Which is a common misconception happily provided by your local forum "CV bad" echochamber. You rely on the team and the team relies on you.

Aquila lacks a bit of carry potential compared to other CVs. Doesnt mean she is bad, just that her effectiveness is dictated by the MM or how the game develops. AP rockets are very powerful if played correctly, but you often need active BBs in your team to prevent cruisers from turning or punish them for avoiding the CV and exposing themselves to the enemy team. They scale very well in terms of damage, because cruiser side armor usually does not. Compared to popular belief, they are also quite effective against DDs, but you need broadsides or slight angles on most of them, Aquila especially can chunk DDs due to her squads firing like 60 rockets. Every HP lost on a DD is an advantage for your team plus the vision you provide during an attack. There are other quirks to them, like firing over islands can be abused or ruin your drop completely, yet Aquila has rather gentle angles compared to the Germans so they are not that finicky. The main problem is just, that you trade potential burst potential for stable output compared to many other CVs, thats why Aquila and many of the German CVs appear less strong.

Besides all the memes, I think that support carriers will be the next great implementation. Hybrid subs are a possibility, as despite WG's take on historical accuracy they cover concepts that are already in game and actually existed. Depending on how Illinois performs, a line of battlecruisers or BBs with smaller guns could also be expected, to counter an abundance of overmatch BBs. If they double down on the mine mechanic, a dedicated DD line seems logical too. Helicopters and guided missiles are probably too far fetched, even though vertical take off copter-like aircraft date quite far back and there were plans to fire V1's from submarines, also its WG so we never know. -

Alright, 2 games each 4 minutes, 1 mil tanked cominbed. BB Ducks and actively dodging torps is just more time effective than German BBs in randoms.

Just play the duck mode with the BB. You rack up potential quite quick and if you compare it to sweating randoms in a German BBs, you can do it with one hand and if the game is bad, yolo in and go next.

About that... This announcement is one month old and the quote is: "Right now, we are developing the minefields mechanic that can be layed from planes of these aircraft carriers". People participating in the Bathtub mode are actively testing a major, soon to be introduced CV mechanic. -

I literally dont care what they do with the game or how they communicate with the playerbase. They cant sniff the money out of my wallet and I have somewhat common sense in making financial decisions.
