All Russian CVs are quite good in PvE since they scale with the angle on their target and most bots do not care if they show broadside and only start dodging torps when they see them, let alone regular attack runs which they just ignore. Lots of scenarios throw low tier enemies with bad AA and predetermined paths at you, very easy to stack up damage and kills, even tho IJN CVs still perform better with higher, nerly guaranteed torpedo hit chances. Except the Chkalov there is not really a performer compared to the other (un)available CVs of the same tier across the whole board for randoms. They are okay, most already existing CVs are just okay'er.

No deal. There is no reason for me to buy or even play those ships, same for the other contents. Maybe I spend a coin during the next Chrismas Event as they set a better course with their RNG crates.

100% no, I would even go so far and put Serov as the 2nd worst T6 CV. Like the Weser it is a very situational ship and they get easily beaten in the long run by Ranger and Furios which may not have the same strike potential but deal constant damage, handle easily and are able to mostly fight anything with any armament. Because people start foaming around the mouth when they see any kind of russian CV. WG introducing the Chkalov alongside the easily accessible Serov probably also lead to some misassumptions of Serov being a mini Chaka, but thats not the case. By itself its mediocre at best but cuts even shorter compared to the other T6 CVs. I played a few games in it to see how I fair compared to others, but most games I was just sitting there thinking "man, I wish I was playing Ryujo".

You can get an advantage in a good div but it is not a guarantee to win, even when you fill out all the relevant/influencal classes. The same thing also works on the opposite side with a 40% top tier Two-Brothers middle pushing trio ruining the game for everyone.

It is an absolute shytshow, people are spamming, there is no moderation and only a "pls be naise" in the initial post. Some guy actually managed to keep his comment up long enough, but it is after the listed event time, because WG just kept the topic open after the time limit passed. They also stated in the initial post the topic would be closed after a winner is drawn, so nobody won - except WG because people generated massive traffic on their Steam Page.

Doing fine as most of the time, despite filling my 100 games on the Baltimore. Gucci bote but lots of T10 and wonky teams. Some solo games, some div games, nothing exceptional but only a few bad games, overall a good experience to endure. I also have to say that a few weeks ago there was this strange weekend of unwinnable games, despite no changes. It probably was not meant to be, bad star alignment or whatever, really frustrating and full understanding for OP's situation. If you dont mind CV, we can play some T6 this weekend, I still need to grind XP on the Serov for Pobeda.

The aim offset for German AP rockets makes sense, since they need to hover down to the surface to hit ships broadside, which obviously poses a challenge over islands. Avoid islands with German AP rockets and dont include them in your attack path, unless you want to extend their range on purpose because this so called "bug" works in both directions. Cant recall any actual numbers but it surely should be possible to fire 6-7km aka longer than most T8 AA ranges when flying over high islands on Two Brothers, North, etc. It is annoying, but you get used to it. Fortunately all the German CVs have excellent bombers for people that try to use this to stay safe, or you just go around since the planes are relatively quick.

Thats the beautiful thing about opinions, you dont need to know everything to form them and you can change, update or revoke them everytime you learn something new, because nobody can know everything about something, but they are always valuable. Yet to question is a choice, same as it is a choice to remain ignorant, so I dont think it is an issue of inability, most people just dont want to dig deep into the game mechanics and meta to supplement their opinion with more knowledge, which is totally okay too, as long as they are aware. Pretty sure a lot of people are not aware and dont care anyways, they just want to shoot botes and yell at the screen if they get shot back. Nah, a big portion of the playerbase just does not care about the game and its development, so WG willingly abuses this "silent majority" to force anything through any kind of opposition from the part of the playerbase that actually cares and voices itself via forms of media.

The issue is, "those people" base their argumentation solely on their subjective view, personal interpretation or opinion - which can be exchanged, but represents a really bad foundation for further discussions and has little to no holding points when it comes to the experience of other people or arguing against empirical data, be it in a positive way or like here against a negative majority, causing obvious trouble and will, nay - should be accused of lacking objective points. I am not saying people are not overly toxic when it comes to certain classes, but "muh opinion" is just not a good argument to convince others to share your beliefs or show them the supposed errors in their ways. Maybe if people would just state they like submarines on a personal level and dont lecture the entire community, said community would actually respect the opinion and dont pick apart the whole argumentation based on it, as opinions are amongst the highest goods of moral value somebody should respect. Fortunately this does not count for the things people build upon them, so accusing, critizing and refuting said things is not devaluing the opinion, but the arguments, actions, etc. made from it. OP is probably even right in his assumption, that submarines will stay in their current iteration, but it is a personal choice for every single player on how to deal with this and it is their fair right to call OP out for him telling them what to do.

Forgot to mention: Yes, there is an obvious discrepancy between providing no feedback and being unhappy with the resulting changes, but dont worry, I got this.

Dont use player search. Make a group called "Idiots" and add people directly to it, even works ingame. Very handy to keep them sorted.
