They are still there. You meet them quite often. There is no escape from them, except competitive. (for now)

You are clearly using a synthetic Copium, yet you need medical grade Ultra-Copium (99.99%), because like most people, you still have a glimmer of hope that WoWs becomes "good" again, probably a side-effect of said lower quality product, usually made of cheaper and more available Hopium.

This has to be some sort of Cicada 3301 riddle.

[Poll] How many 21-point commanders do you have? Which unique commanders do you have?
Nov_A replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
22 captains with 21 points, including the shiny ones, of which I am missing the Pan-Asia and EU one. I have a handful of dedicated captains for certain ships with builds that deviate from the most effective on the respective shiny one, if available. Otherwise there is barely any need for more since I usually only play the same 20-30 ships anyways, including many premiums with similar builds that can shuffle the captain around. -
What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

4000 Base XP (no arms race) on my Atago Alt. -
Pretty sure @Leo_Apollo11 has quite an extensive Excel list on all of his containers. Coal still seems to be the best choice.

Schlieffen is either an OP secondary brawler or a mediocre semi-stealth battlecruiser, depending on the game mode or how a game develops. Since randoms at T10 tend to be more campy, long-range and people on EU turn heel and kite at the first sight of danger, Schlieffen has a hard time there, while modes like brawls, airship escort or sometimes even competitve with closer combat distances and actual tactics play hard into Schlieffen's strengths. A buff seems unnecessary. If you suffer in randoms, play it in division with smokeslave DDs or long range HE spammers that draw fire and help you torch enemies, once the game turns, you can take the lead for them.

You will play out the 20 minute MM loss and you will like it!

Thats okay and your personal choice. I am not even going to justify or explain anything, if you decide to or feel this way, then so be it. As another reference: The non-profit organisation HateAid, listed as first contact point for victims of cyber-bullying on Germany's official state website and sponsored by multiple inner state departments of Germany, has refused Drachenlord as a case due to him propagating digital violence himself. Here is a media article covering it. It is open for anyone if they want to believe an official NGO against cyber-bullying or a columnist with a red mohawk.

Sadly, your letter has not arrived yet. If only there would be an electronic, nearly instantaneous service of exchanging mail. You know, comparable to an actual post service, just digitally based.

Yeah, quite silly drawing comparison between digital cosmetic products and non-digital cosmetic products.

I just did, so apparently you can.

Why does make-up even exist? It has no benefits and the multi-billion industry around it could just hand it out for free.

T-61 was my first DD, I have never played DDs before and did it on a separated account, so without a dedicated 21p captain. 70%+ WR after 200 games, 187 of those were solo.

[NA Forum] How to Dodge Homing Torpedoes
Nov_A replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
This is good stuff, especially since the game does not really tell you this. Basically hundreds if not thousands of anti/sub games of experience condensed into digestable information for smooth brain players like me. Sadly I think a lot of it is theoretical and same as with CVs, you cant always do a kickflip to avoid something, without exposing yourself to someone/something else. Map awareness, positioning, island cover and team support/reliance seem to be the most effective counter. Cant get homed, if you cant get pinged. My anti sub success so far has mostly been by the previosly mentioned aspects to avoid or force them, while charging and baiting out pings usually works better than running away. -
Ouch!

Around 110k +/- 5k, all the T8 cruisers are that amount.

I dont think so. It is mostly the same people, saying the same things to each other and themselves in the echo chamber which is the forum, 3rd party sites like Reddit or the YouTube comment section of certain (ex?) CCs. Those are the ones that can actually be bothered to voice their opinion, as they are/were either passionate about the game or at least dedicated to it, or to summarize, they cared about the game at any point in its lifespan. If their discontent would be in higher/significant numbers, it would affect the game or at least monetary aspects and with that also WG to a much greater extent than now, hypocrites excluded. Yet despite the negative tone, WG keeps getting away with not only ignoring complaints and issues that have been around for years, they also keep implementing and changing the game however they like, usually not for the better - and they clearly do it out of monetary interest, not pure joy of developing. People make fun of the "silent majority", as WG used it as an excuse of positive reception after testing the submarines on the live server, but there is a reason why WG can do all of its whacky shenanigans in the face of the negative reception, which I presume to be just be a "vocal minority". For WG, there is an economically feasable amount of players that do not care about the game. They play, they pay and just need new, happy chemical rewarding additions to keep on doing so. They dont care about CV balance, they dont care about subs. Those are players with 50 or 50'000 games that either drop or stay hot, but leave some money while doing so. Of course, all of this is just an assumption, but there has to be a reason why WG does - and can keep on doing WG things. I dont want to write a book on it right now, maybe in a more dedicated thread, but my bet is on a large, fluctuating grey mass of players (with money) that do not care what happens in the game, making the people voicing their opinion, be it in a negative or positive way about certain topics, just a vocal minority. Still, feel free to share your ideas tho. We dont, but it is safe to assume CV "acceptance" is much lower than the discontent, even if you remove the echo chambers suppressing negative pretone. CV popularity links into CV accessibility, which many people overlook in their own rendition of how to balance the current iteration. Since CVs differ greatly from regular surface ship gameplay (same as subs do), their respective player numbers are rather low, the people actually playing them are either dedicated to it, or research, grind and shelve them. Yet WG seems to be happy with a slice of ~5% for both classes, again raising the suspicion of my previous silent majority assumption, because as long as the money is flowing, WG is okay with anything.
-
For the game and the playerbase or for WG? It took them 2 years to notice plus the years prior the problems already existed, until they announced to at least intend adressing the spotting sometime in the future. They dont care, make incosistent changes/nerfs and quench the vocal minority's mouthfoam with a "we are working on the spotting, no additional info" DevBlog statement. Pretty sure at this point most CV players are just here to meme on people that cant accept that WG does not really care. Actual questions are usually answered in a good manner, as were written many hundreds posts of constructive criticism by said players and their experience. Yet from time to time somebody seems to find the holy grail of CV balance or another one pulls the 49% Excalibur out of the stone and crowns himself King of CV buffs. The entire "conversation" about the CV rework/current iteration is more of a stages of grief thing with different forum users in various places.

Please change Dockyard Missions and Holiday Reward system
Nov_A replied to Skitzo_Sam's topic in General Discussion
I have never purposefully played for a mission, even though I mostly limit myself to a single class. It is always the same layout, a 1 class related quantity mission, a handful of less tedious quantity missions and a quality one. All are clearable during the same time window. Dont be the donkey chasing the carrot on a stick, dont be the farmer going places holding a stick. Be the stick, he does not care, gets the carrot and is going places.
