They replace ships in a game designed for a maximum of 12. That's why you end up with teams with completely broken composition because wg is unwilling to increase team sizes to compensate. Their gameplay is completely different from the main 3 classes which makes them next to impossible to balance within the meta. They're frustrating to play against. Homing torps.

Regardless of whether they destroy the game completely or just prove to be a minimal annoyance. Hell, even CVs sometimes (even though it's rare) bring some good things into the matches, subs don't.

Tier 9 ships are considered premiums. They make more credits. Tier 10 ships are considered specials, their repair costs are reduced.

It's because balance between classes is already fragile. It's fragile but workable. Even when it comes to CVs, beacuse the game was designed from the start to include them. Subs will essentially undo years of balancing done (much worse than the CV rework ever did because CVs were always included and subs weren't). This, and they'll be toxic to play against.

Oh my fuqing god. I genuinely hope sub players in randoms get discriminated against so much (ie. reported and cussed at) that most snowflakes will just stop playing them.

It's possible. I mean, there cretainly is a bias in terms of the number of soviet ships in the game (or the order in which they were released), but that's about as far as it goes.
