Damn, all that sweat coming off of you. It's a serious question though. I don't remember there not being CVs in the game, so how can you?
-
Because I already have 200 days of it. Those containers offer 1 day of premium each. That means that when I eventually run out, I can use the one day premiums as I like.
-
Good for you. I on the other hand have a month of premium saved up in WG containers that I'm not planning to open.
-
When was that....pre alpha? No wonder people don't know about it, since almost nobody played it then.
-
Ezorrd.

Tbh, I'll report (and compliment) whoever I want, whenever I want and there's nothing anyone can say or do to stop me from doing so.

I didn't say it was. -
I think I need an interpreter.

[WG PSA] Server "Tick-Rate" issue
SV_Kompresor replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Sort of....ish. I noticed it while playing harbin. At least until they start pumping out ships with guns that fire even faster. -

Yeah...the good old days of having half of the lineup filled with new ships for about two weeks. It basically looked like this, just with tech tree ships instead of a premium: Let's not go back wg, thank you. -
It didn't. You start with 10k already when you unlock RB. The line will give you that 10k after you regrind it. Tl-dr: after you regrind both your lines, you'll have 40k points. You can never go wrong with ohio.

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
SV_Kompresor replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
Balancing the +-2 MM is one thing (since there are 2 tiers that need it balanced (those being tier 7 and tier 9)). Wanting to remove it is quite another. -
Report it. Mods will close it eventually.

Superships to Appear Permanently in the National Tech Trees
SV_Kompresor replied to farko1's topic in General Discussion
Indirectly, yes. IMO, their maintenance costs should be increased by at least another 50-100k to ensure that even paying customers just about always lose money playing them. Or even better, decrease their income instead. That way premium has less of an effect. -
CVs can still damage themselves. It's more likely that it was removed so that friendly depth charges wouldn't teamkill subs. But then, your comment was probably a joke anyway.
-
For some. I hate it. I only use it to farm supercontainers.

The point was that over time, there are more salvos of shells flying towards you than there are planes. This won't matter to a good CV player, but it will to a bad one. It's usually not difficult to estimate the rough location of the CV, except if it's intentionally spending more time to try and appear as if it was elsewhere. I think I've seen a player do this twice since the rework so kind of irrelevant. No Nah, they're just generally weaker since they rely on DoT. Again, this is about your oversimplification and not for when a CV and a non CV of equal skill meet. (Or god forbid a CV with superior skill) No, I have not. In fact, I'm not even sure it's possible for a DD to eat that much damage from AP bombs since they overpen. Maybe it's possible for rockets to do it idk, but it certainly isn't common. Usually they do between 0 and 500 damage with their AP rockets. KM cvs are so uncommon it's kind of difficult to tell sometimes. Many DDs will shoot those fighters down quite rapidly. For those that can't (idk, due to their low aa range or lacking mid/short range) they can get clapped yes GG. But then again, back to your example that you tried to push (which is basically the only thing I'm arguing against): a unicum DD probably still won't get clapped against an average/below average soviet CV due to the "closing the distance" strat that works so well against soviet CVs specifically. The only exception being chkalov with its HE dive bombers. That thing can burn in hell. If they stay in the perfect middle of it (and even better if they shoot their guns), they're practically inviting the strike. Sometimes you can't avoid the strike, but quite often you can. I know this is a bit off topic, but I do sometimes enjoy watching trenlass. He's the guy that considered FDR to be the most OP CV until nakhimov was released. Bless him.

why too many red tracers =(

Yeah it was the best looking one....but then WG removed it because *insert irrational excuse here*. -
Superships to Appear Permanently in the National Tech Trees
SV_Kompresor replied to farko1's topic in General Discussion
Old players will wipe newer players even quicker with the introduction of overpowered superships. Ironically, us rejecting it is actually good for you too. But hey, if you want to be the type of player that gets outgunned by an ibuki in an annapolis at about 12km (yes this actually happened), then no amount of explaining will change your mind. -
Because you can fire many salvoes while the CV will only do one strike. Just because of the sheer number of launches. As for torpedoes...those are easier to dodge than shells. No. CVs are broken as hell and there is plenty to complain about. I just don't subscribe to anti-CV propaganda. I prefer legitimate complaints. Going "a below average german CV will always wipe out all the unicum hallands with its ap rockets" isn't it. No? It's if the non cv has nothing else to worry about, it can focus on trying not to die to the CV. Ehm....no. that wasn't what I was saying. I was saying that you generalised your example too much. If the map is large or the oponent's ship too clunky and the CV is the correct one, then the CV will have ample time to kill it. Otherwise, not. A british one will likely fail at even that. Are you really saying that AP bombs and rockets are a threat to DDs? And for the soviets, the only time a DD has to be truly scared is if they're already perma spotted by something else. Or if they camp in their smoke for too long. But then again, in a 1v1 that you mentioned, they don't really have to worry about other players. If only those DDs in smoke moved a bit. (Btw, using the second skip is actually often easier to use).

Other classes have far more to deal with yes. It is also much easier for them to actually hit stuff (unless you play worcester at max range or something). CVs can do it at any range, but bad players tend to miss with CVs more than they do with other ships. You underestimate how difficult it can be to kill a ship that has your undivided attention. Esprcially since you exagerated it too much (below average/average CV vs unicum non cv). If the map is large, the CV is the correct one for dealing with the enemy class and the non cv ship is one that is easy to damage yes. Otherwise, it's unlikely. And realistically, most DDs only have to worry about US CVs, especially in a 1v1. If it's a 1v1 against something else, the cv in your example will at best be able to stall long enough for time to run out (assuming the time left isn't too much) and at worst lose.
-
I agree with that. And neither do BBs. The skill floor is fairly low for both. It's just that the skill ceiling doesn't exist for CVs. Ok let's not overexagerate things. That's far too dependant on what map it's played on and what each of the ships are.
-
If CVs didn't require any skill to play, there wouldn't be bad CV players (or rather, most of them wouldn't be bad). Many CVs can be played around simply because their captains are sh1t (if they weren't they'd annihalate the team on their own anyway). If someone says that CVs are for skilless players as part of an insult, then ok, but to say it and mean it, then it just means they've never played CVs before. I mean sure, even a crap CV player can ruin the game of some individual dd that they randomly spotted, but they'll still end last on the scoreboard and contribute next to nothing besides that.
