What @DFens_666said. You are somewhat dependent on your team, because if you lose points too quickly you will not be able to play the late game. This means that by striking or popping fighters near key objectives can be really powerful, since capping takes 60 seconds !!! I am sure you can carry without your team, but your team is still shooting at an otherwise invisible target... Versus a lesser skilled carrier player the constant spotting makes it really difficult to get anything done, mostly due damage over time when you close in on a cap. Burning through DCP's and repair parties like a mad man. So while I agree with you mostly, I think spotting is an issue out of many issues. -

I think some people are just offended by the small things in life. Every decent player active on the forums I know is very helpful in helping newcomers. When you pretend to know how the game works out while you clearly don’t, you get harsh reactions when you ignore it and keep pushing your own bs. -

I love the Steel camo's. I personally wish they would be like the New Year perma camo's; meaning that you can attach them to any ship you would like (in this case for Steel camo's preferably non-tier restricted). -

These are some good points and are some of the problems carriers have. What you are kinda missing is why I am missing the obvious design issues of carriers in this game... Are you aware that I am not PQ. ( @ReapingKnight ) Regarding your food of thought; this happens almost every game when a carrier is present. PQ has nothing to do with the criteria I said... He is only asking for well-founded opinion. -

Everyone is allowed to voice their opinion, but I just wanted a conversation with people who understand the game mechanics. I think the problem of the criteria I made is choosing 60%, which happens to be called Unicum in WarGaming titles, which made some people feel offended. TBH there is barely any toxic elitism. It are just a bunch of players reacting in a childish way, because they don't like the suggested criteria to fend of players who lack understanding of game mechanics. It is really typical for the internet, because every person is basically able to sprout their nonsense. Since it is pointless to discuss this in a different way as the OG CV topic I also suggest to close it. I rest my case. -

I liked the blunt statement in his video and ofcourse this would happen. Everyone that understands the game already knows what is broken about carriers, so it is pointless to discuss this. Also it is a new month so a new CV topic. It is the direction this game is going: dumbing down game mechanics and adding content for the premium shop. Like others already mentioned. EDIT: As someone mentioned I need to work on my win-rate, so hopefully I win some steel in Ranked so that I can buy the well balanced FDR. -

Welp, somewhat old topic, but well I will just use it to dump this information here: When you lock your guns you cannot fire your torpedoes and vice versa. Looks like a bug, but could also very well be poorly implemented like usual.- 64 replies

RN BB's having improved fire chance is bad for the game and it doesn't make sense with the other tools they have. Fire chance needs to be nerfed. Thunderer could use a slight reload nerf, besides the fire chance; starting with 3 seconds. These ships are way too effective as DoT ships over long range when carriers present. -

Welp, I finished Silver League with a 52% win-rate. Sure I didn't play the most suitable ships for Ranked, but at least I was still having some fun most battles. Guess I was just less lucky this time. -

So I am Lemon, I have been playing from closed beta on both EU and NA server, 50+ tier 10's, played a little competitive, played some tournaments and upon today I still play Random Battle's and Ranked Battle's. Personally I get most joy from playing the game as strategically as possible. I like to put my ships in the perfect position to hold key areas to keep the points flowing leading me to a victory, while killing the right targets. Nowadays it is hard to find this feeling, even in Clan Battles. Time moves on, changes happen and etcetera I understand, but what I don't understand is the decisions made by this game developer. So that is why I am reaching out to the forum, because perhaps someone can explain to me why WarGaming is making certain decisions. So what is weird about the game? Game balance Game balance at tier 10 is shifting from a strategical game to basically a point and shoot game. Tactical position to hold key objective: you are now stuck due constant CV spotting and bomb drops. Tactical flanking: You are fine till you get spotted -> constant spotting & bomb drops. Brawling to gain a key objective: get HE spammed by battleships from 20km and constant bomb drops by a carrier. Sniping from 20 km: not any downsides, you might lose, you might win, at least you get to shoot the entire game. The average server win rate is 48% and in the past months I have been playing with some kind of stats monitor. This showed me that it is easy for the average player to hit a target at 20km, but difficult to find the key objective. Regarding this nothing changed, because hitting stuff has always been relative easy compared to understanding the mini-map. CV main: "But Lemon, sitting still or flanking with a carrier present is bad positioning." Yes, since the introduction of the CV rework dynamic gameplay got punished very hard or in other words: being able to read the mini map and making use of it. Assuming you know what you are talking about you also realize the 20km sniping meta is the only thing we have left. In other words strategical gameplay is being removed bit by bit. It bothers me that WarGaming is still using the word strategical, so I hope WarGaming would be so kind to explain to me what is so strategical about this game nowadays at high tier gameplay... Because right now it is starting to feel like this little ad WarGaming had where you could point and shoot at a Yamato... Suggestions to fix some poor game balance decisions to bring back strategical gameplay: RN BB line: nerf fire chance to regular BB fire chance, including premiums. SN BB high tiers: nerf belt armor thickness. SN DD's: Both lines have the same gameplay. SN high tier heavy cruisers: nerf improved penetration angles. SAP: Nerf penetration angles. PAN EU DD's: remove narrow spread & add regular wide spread. KM BB's: give them the same dcp / repair party stuff like Massa. Carriers: change AP armament to HE armament. Carriers: Remove spotting by fighter consumable. Carriers: Introduce fuel mechanic. Carriers: Increase alpha strike damage. Carriers: normal fire duration (60s) (=> thus also removal of automatic DCP) Roosevelt: remove it from the game and refund steel. Anti-aircraft defensive consumable: bring back panic effect Finish the AA rework; use your data and check all ships in this game. (example given: MN DDs are unplayable with CV present and near OP without CV) Map: Northern Waters EpiCenter; increase size of capture zones (unplayable right now) Russian translation below:- 64 replies
