All the shifts along the balance spectrum still feel random and desperate. It would be so much better to drop subs into a dedicated mode and just free up all the development resources already. It's like Google trying to push Google Plus on us for years: we just won't love subs. They don't fit the core gameplay and USPs of WoWs. Please.

It totally works with an external screen (Valve is working on an official dock but 3rd party ones work just fine). There's a point though when it becomes pointless as a small gaming laptop will do the same job just as well. While the Steam version works, I struggle to make the Linux/WGC one run.

I've got no problems with monetized early access. It's literally stuff that'll be available for everyone with no extra payment, not much later. If people want to blow fortunes for that, it's the perfect whale vehicle. No harm done, more power to WG.

You're not wrong. Just making sure you realize there's no limit on resets other than the double bonus resetting every two months. If you play like a caffeinated ferret or if you've got the freeXP, there's no limit of the amount of RP you can earn per month. You can even keep resetting the same line over and over as soon as you freeXP it to the top.

Those could be handy at times In all seriousness though, I would like to see some dedicated way to attract the attention of a specific player and tell them specifically to do something. Let's say I want "player X" to shoot "target Y". These days I do what Ahskance usually does on streams: first "I need support" to "player X" and then "concentrate fire" on "target Y". But a smoother way to construct a phrase of sorts where you can queue up 1-3 quick commands might be neat.

The equivalent of a completely free purchase once in a while seems to be coal, at least for me: with a coupon you just grab a ship and that's it. No credits needed etc. The math is probably much worse than the OLD FreeXP ships but compared to the latest prices (2 million FXP for a Destroyer) this may be comparable.

I would love to see the old Friendly Fire system back but not before they kick subs out of the game. Between their torp spam as the only viable weapon AND the drama of whether ping will make sub torps rise to the surface in time to strike a target, they kind of necessitate the current change.

Looks like the Research Bureau is more and more the replacement of direct purchase FXP ships.

For now it seems that the JDW is the most fun for me due to the more diverse mix of ships to encounter, as opposed to the GL's stronger TX matchmaking mix. I like the guns but sometimes I feel like the ship is just too easy to burn down to the keel. I agree that the line seems to be balanced around the Airstrike too much, a gimmick that can be pretty strong but is really hard to land in a battle of movement.

This is an unsurprising case of "I will make them love you!" and subs will be fed buffs until WG can kinda sorta justify their existence in the almighty spreadsheet.

That's an insane change that I don't recall anyone asking for. Harmful even.
