    How to play Myogi?

I have stopped believing that Myogi can fight after shooting my forward turret to enemy battleship crossing my T. Range 2.8 km and one shell of two goes between his masts and another hits the ocean in front of him. This thing can't hit anything!!

How to hit with your torpedoes (illustrated)

Actually any DD can do a stealth drop. Consider an US DD with 55 kts torpedoes with max range of 5.5 km shooting a target heading straight towards it at 27.5 kts. Captain wants torps to hit at 5 km to give some room for errors. Thus when he shoots target is 7.5 km away and detection range being around 6, he is never seen.

A request, please don't fire your guns!

Not to mention up to 10 km addition to range you can spotted from, if you fire your guns.

    Is it a lemming train?

In naval warfare it is called Battle Line. Tank move in wedges or echelons, infantry moves in open formations and gun bearing naval ships form a Battle Line. It is an advantage as none of them blocks each others broadsides and every one can maneuver to avoid torps or return fire without collision danger. Whole battle line usually fires against single target, killing it an moving on. And if Battle Line crosses the T of enemy line.... They have pretty much won the battle.

Why doesn't Warspite have its torps?

Kongo had underwater torpedo tubes as well and its early versions are modeled and they CAN be aimed, since every torpedo has a gyro and gyro setting determines the direction it goes after leaving the tube. That is why U-boats could attack multiple targets with single salvo of torpedoes (and why it is quite possible to torpedo yourself).

Myogi grind - Hosho & Kongo too much

About ship classifications; Most classifications BB, BC, CA/CL are from Washington and London Naval treaties. They placed restrictions on numbers of ships by type and thus had to define the types by giving them maximum values. Like heavy cruiser being 10k ton or under ship with 8-6" guns. Since number of those were limited to each signatory nation, every single one built their CAs to max values (10'000 tons and 8 inch (203mm) guns). Since Germany was NOT a signatory, they had ships that did not fit into those classes. Oh and Myogi; It has highest speed of any capital ship on its tier. It has also longest ranging guns. And two of its three turrets are facing stern. Does this not implicate certain tactics?

BB's need a huge buff against cruisers.

Wouldn't a solution against faster and more agile opponent be letting go of salvo and fire in favor of single turret shots? You shoot one turret, see where shot lands, adjust aim, shoot second etc. With few seconds between shots (mainly shell flight time), the effect is near constant barrage and you can "walk" the shells to the opponent citadel or magazine area. Also his evasive actions don't cost you full broadside worth of firepower. Or is there some secret "salvo" bonus I am not aware of?

Navel Gun sizes in inches not mm

This discussion reminds me of Yamato "typo". Until well after WWII US sources listed Yamato's main armament as 16" guns. They had the correct number (460 mm), but since 460 does not divide evenly with inches someone decided that it was a typo and really meant 406 mm or 16 inches. It ended that way into enemy ship guides and official reports.
