Thank you for your very constructive whining...NOW PLEASE STFU!
AnuSuaraj replied to AnuSuaraj's topic in General Discussion
Firstly, either get English lessons or leave the English speaking Forum. Secondly, the only hysterical person in here is you my friend, hysterically funny that is... Thirdly, my "witch-hunt" in World of Warplanes was basically me saying that if the game gets released in its selected form that no one would ever play it and that it would fail horribly... Well, guess what? I was fu*king right. -

I enjoy flying my frigate around supercaps. And making fun of their transparent attempt at overcompensation. -
I have been seeing these drooling dweebs more and more these day, spamming torps from behind my DD. I think they're trying to kill me, because they certainly can't be trying to kill the enemy at that range. Nobody's that stupid. NOBODY:

Is that an avatar from Eve Online? -
As a DD lover myself I have to say that your remarkable effort into giving us more insight is extremely helpful, if not heroic. Here, have a +1. FYI this part: I have to respectfully disagree with. The advantage of the 7 km torps, which I regularly fire and hit with from a range of 6 to 6,5 km without getting spotted, allow the Minekaze to dish out damage without really risking anything. The Nicholas is incapable of doing the same, and is risking damage every time it goes in for a torp strike. And therein lies the advantage of the Minekaze over the Nicholas. Gracias.

New ships in WoWs: Diana, Marblehead, Tachibana and Mikasa
AnuSuaraj replied to Haatra's topic in General Discussion
I have a question... If this Mikasa thing is being advertised as the "first tier 2 Battleship.." then why do I see a cruiser icon hovering above it in that pic with the incredibly happy lady?! -
I invite the moderators to start closing them "British tree not herez yet?!" whining topics and banning their posters before we get something similar to the WoWP Forum fiasco where everything useful gets buried under heaps of nationalistic pride. FYI, people who are that proud of their nation also demonstrate their lack of pride in anything else, especially their-mediocre-selves. P.S. Reported the OP for failing to use the search button and replicating 800 other topics of the same content.

What would a 356mm+ armor piercing shell really do to a destroyer?
AnuSuaraj replied to Remi_Drexel's topic in Age of Armour Warships
Let's end this debate with a bit of historicity: USS Roberts (a legit US DD) was sunk after: "...being hit by three 14 in (355.6 mm) shells from the battleship Kongo. The shells tore a hole 40 ft (12.2 m) long and 10 ft (3.0 m) wide in the port side of her aft engine room." -
Because the maps on the higher tiers are not that much bigger than the maps on the lower tiers, therefore indiscriminate torpedo spam from a Shimakaze firing 15 torps with 15 km range every 50 seconds would ruin everbody's gaming experience.

Your rap is weak BB player... DD rap is stronkest. *Suaraj rolls in and grabs the mic* *crowd cheers* Are you ready for some freestyle DD rap? *crowd roars* All right yall...give me a beat. *DJ hits the beat, crowd chants 'Go Suaraj, Go Suaraj...'* I'll take care of you Jeewee, you and your little BB, cause I'm the meanest MC, rollin' in a stealthy DD, I drop torps you can't see, slip behind your CV, and sink that sucker easily, twenty thousand leagues deep. You're big and loud, I'm a murderous cloud, you're so easy to hit, so slow and clumsy, I'm the naval version of Leo freakin' Messi, so tremble in silence punk, till those red triangles pop up, and turn your once mighy boat, into Sponge Bob's outhouse. cause I'm the meanest tin can with a label centar mast, 'Pull here' - for your daily dose of whoop-a*s. *Suaraj drops the mic and strolls out* *crowd goes wild*

It's the same economy that WoT uses. In WoWP you wait 10 mins for a tier 10 game because the game itself sucks so hard that most players quit at tier 5.
-
and plz YES arming distance nerf for both plane dropped and DD torps. Also minimum spotting distance for DDs regardless of smoke set at 5 km and scaled up with each tier.
-
Look guys! It's the same old WoT arty argument. CVs, just like artillery, were designed to "hit another thing while remaining safe..."
-
Commodore ->PC 286->PC IBM 486 That's the only way to roll.

Can do nothing but commend the OP and his wall of text. Indeed, most new players seem to be battleship players that have no interest in learning how to properly play a battleship but rather would just like to indiscriminately whine at whatever thing is killing them at the moment. And I don't think Darwin can help those people much.

Carriers are OP, Battleships are OP, Cruisers are OP, Destroyers are OP
AnuSuaraj replied to Ectar_'s topic in General Discussion
*person posts pics of himself in an OP Cleveland whilst complaining about OP CVs.* This is a double face palm moment if there ever was one. FYI, the current lack of players in the higher tiers is what's causing bad MM. As soon as the higher tiers become better populated, the MM will work fine. -
These are the people that made World of Warplanes and you actually expect them to know how planes fly? Just be happy that you don't have to deal with submarine planes that we had in Beta. Also it's kind of funny that you on one hand complain about the unrealistic movement of planes but have no problem with the unrealistic AA that can shoot through mountains. One look at the battle queues reveals that 80% of the player base prefers to play battleships which is also the likely reason why most of the whining here on the Forum is directed toward things that kill battleships, such as DDs, CVs and an occasional torpedo wielding CA... One thing that I don't get is how people can complain with tier 4 and 5 ships in their ports and with barely a hundred battles under their belt. Maybe first you people should play a couple hundred battles with all classes, and then come back for a round of more constructive criticism.

Dear WG, I iz new playerz who's come from WoT because arty hitz me many time when I sitz behind rock in my heavy tonk. I ask WoT devz: How iz arty hitz me behind rock? They says I don't understand ballistic. What iz ballistic nuclear weapons haz to do with WoT?! Silly devz. So now I comez to Wows because no arties here. Herez I can drive big battleships and kill many of my red enemy. But then in one battle I seez carrier ship and he sent many planes to my hiding place behind big rock. And then his planes make torpedo come through water and killz my battleships super fast. How can this happenz?! How can my stronk ship with much steel get killed by torpedo super fast?! And don't say ballistic! There are no nuclearz in this game!! This is makingz me very unhappy so I write this poem called Sadness: My banner flutterz atop a stronk ship, my crew lovez me and callz me skip, I launch big shell at red enemy, and he die because his ship is puny, but then arrive many carrier planez, criss-cross torpedos into our ship lanes, siren causes inside me much fearz, banner no longer flutter but drownz in tears, why WG dev make this carrier madness, to me this means very alot sadness... Please devz remove carrier from game and I will give you so much moneyz that Ectar will be able to afford shave and haircut and not look homeless anymore.

Please don't do a Wipe in the Open Beta... Please.

OMG! PEEETEEERS! Come look at this one sentence please! Please! -
Well that's how BBs work, you wade through the appalling overpens and misses to get to super damaging hit heaven. If BBs would hit dependably all the time most battles would be over pretty quick me thinks.

Carriers are OP, Battleships are OP, Cruisers are OP, Destroyers are OP
AnuSuaraj replied to Ectar_'s topic in General Discussion
I wondered how long before the WoT crowd would emerge with their "this is OP, that is OP" 100% pure unadulterated BS. Is WoWS perfectly balanced? No. There are small unbalances present. Such as the fact that Japanese DDs can launch torps without getting spotted or risking anything, or that all DDs sometimes don't light up at ridiculously low ranges (a minimum spotting range such as we have in tanks would fix that), or that CVs can sometimes drop their torps so close to your ship (through the use of that manual spread thingy) that there's just no way to avoid them, or that certain US CA such as the Cleveland have unusually high DPM values etc... But all those are minor imbalances that will SURELY get corrected over time. WoWS is still technically in Beta dweebs. With that said, I haven't noticed any gaping or game breaking imbalances in the game so maybe the pitch and fork crowd should close their pie holes and just enjoy the game. And if they can't do that I would suggest that they then go enjoy some other game instead of poisoning this Forum with their heart wrenching diatribes of the "I just saw a CV sink two static battleships. True story bro..." variety. Why do CVs do more damage than most other ships? Because their principle targets are BBs, which are ships with the most HP. And BBs are also the only ships that CVs can hurt unless they ran into a CA or DD that's borderline brain dead. So before jumping to conclusions, maybe these whiners should turn on their brain to mouth filters. Also, I would beg, BEG, the WoWS devs not to listen to these dweebs, and needlessly implement drastic changes to the beautiful, complex, and infinitely diverse mess that is World of Warships. We just can't afford another WoWP. P.S. I had to edit the post because I had forgotten my customary gracias. Gracias. -
Well, this post only represents my opinion on this latest iteration of the game and, therefore, shouldn’t be taken at face value. It’s not very good. That would be the aforementioned opinion. And here come the arguments: 1. Engine and optimization Well, this is where I have to give credit to the developers. The game runs smoother and seems to be much more stable than it was in its earlier Alpha renditions. In any case the game runs pretty smooth on high detail even on my mediocre gaming system. I also see that a lot of work has been put into the interface, and we already seem to have a working contact list so…no objections there. 2. Them funky maps Here’s where the trouble starts. The maps are few and they all suck…to put it mildly. Big race is too small for anything above tier 4, Fault line isn’t very well thought out, and Ice Islands is flat out stupid. And when you combine these maps with a broken game mode such as Domination what you get is the following: - BBs are afraid to get into the capping points because capping points are surrounded by islands. And we all know that behind every one of those islands lurks an overzealous DD. - DDs are sort of good for capping because they have smoke for concealment but DDs can also get fragged by one overly brave CA . - CA’s are kind of torn between screening for the BBs or helping out with the capping. So that’s usually a nice random mess too. The result of all this is quite obvious. It is total randomness and wins that have nothing to do with skill or teamwork but are rather dependent on pure coincidence. On Fault line Domination people really favor the A point a lot. Both teams and all classes of ships. Why? Because it has a large open corridor, comfy enough for BBs and CAs to exchange fire in predictable way, but there are also several elongated islands to hide behind, so even though DD’s can spam torps from long range, they cannot ambush anyone without assuming a high level of risk. Overall, what you get is one very messy game. I find it hard to believe that developers actually think that the level of teamwork needed to fight in Domination could be achieved in random battles… Because it really cannot. 3. Balance BBs were too weak against DDs and CAs in the previous iterations. Now they are a bit too strong. Dying or losing 80% of your HP from a single shot is neither fun nor is it skill based game play. At times, I have to land well over eighty shots to kill a BB, yet that same BB can take down my CA with just 2-3 hits. DDs are now a mix of great satisfaction and great frustration. The great satisfaction comes from torpedoing someone to death; the great frustration comes from being one-shotted or one-salvoed by virtually anything, including other DDs. The smoke screen for DDs remains stupid and historically inaccurate. In real life DDs used smoke to conceal the positions of other vessels in the task force whilst simultaneously making their own position well known (it’s really not that hard to spot a ship that’s blowing out heaps of smoke in its wake). In this game smoke turns DDs into ninjas of the ocean. Appearing and disappearing several times in several seconds. I think Lesta studio should really turn to World of Tanks and their “you just got spotted so you must remain visible to all for no less than 8-10 seconds” system. Because that system actually works most of the time, while the WoWS system doesn’t work at all. Seriously, the first time I saw ships flickering in the smoke like that I actually thought it was a bug. It really looks stupid. Also, the torpedo reload times on some DDs are still way too fast. CAs seem balanced, not counting a few odd apples like the St. Louis or the Cleveland. But here comes the biggest problem. The “Repair” ability on BBs. The first time I saw a BBs health points go up, I thought it was a bug. Or lag. I won’t hold back here. Here come the caps: THE ABILITY TO RESTORE YOUR BBs HEALTH BY WHATEVER RANDOM AMOUNT THROUGH A SINGLE PUSH OF A BUTTON IS BY FAR THE DUMBEST THING THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN IMPLEMENTED IN ANY WG GAME SO FAR. And that’s saying a lot. Because I’ve seen autoloading Waffentragers and stuff. And I’ve Beta tested WoWP. So it really is saying a lot. Let’s forget the fact that you gave the biggest ships (the ones that are highest in HP and armor) the ability to restore their health and thus mess up balance right on the spot. And let’s forget the fact that if I saw tanks in WoT restore their hit points in a similar way, I would report the players of those tanks for cheating. Even if we forget all that, you still have a game mechanic that is just way too silly. There’s arcade, and then there’s way too much arcade. Seriously, if you implement this you might as well implement those magical Super Mario mushrooms that make the ships grow bigger upon consumption. Complete removal of that “Repair ability” for BBs is in order. I’m not going to comment on the economy because that’s still likely being tweaked. So there’s just one more thing I have to mention. The fact that British ships got skipped over again is kind of lame. I understand marketing and all that, and I’m not going to do one of those patriotic British statements of the following kind: “Rolling out a Warships game without Great Britain is like making apple pie without them apples!!!!!1111” But I will say this. A game has to be credible in its genre in order to be successful. And until we have British ships in WoWS that credibility will remain somewhat lacking. Bottom line? I would not play this game as is. There’s an enormous amount of RNG in WoWS. A lot more than there is in tanks. Aiming at stuff? Mostly up to the player but shell spread is still greatly influenced by RNG. After you hit stuff? RNG takes over completely. Whether you penetrate, overpenetrate or bounce. Whether you do just 10 points of damage or 10 thousand points of damage. This is all determined by RNG. And when you add to that maps and game modes that try to invoke even more randomness instead of skill and teamwork, you get one really messy game. I don’t like it, and I don’t intend to play it. For what it’s worth. Gracias.

And once again, you should perhaps learn to read before you start putting words in my mouth. BBs are more accurate now than they have ever been. I know this because I have played with them and against them in every iteration of the game. The fact that I have only played against them in this very latest iteration doesn't make me unqualified or biased in any way. Using the same fultarded logic, I could declare you incompetent of judging the balance of the other three classes just because you have mostly played BBs in this last patch. I plan to play all classes once the game is released, as I have done in WoT and WoWP, and I don't understand where you get this ridiculous idea that I'm somehow attacking the BB class in order to further the CA or whatever other class. Perhaps you are suffering from paranoia. In any case, my wish is for all classes be balanced and fun to play. Now, as for smart CA players, you are looking at one. I'm always evading, changing direction, firing back at optimal range. In Domination mode I always play tactically, and try to get as many points as possible. And here are the problems that occur when I, a smart CA player, engage your average BB player. Firstly, he has more range than I do. So I have to close to 15km or less, and I have to do it while evading his shots. Then, when I'm finally in range to fire back, I have to keep landing volley after volley on that BB while simultaneously not allowing him to hit me LIKE EVER. Because if that BB lands just one volley on my CA, I will either end up dead or borderline so. So, I wait to see his muzzles flare, and then I quickly change direction to evade his volley. And then I have some time to land two or three of my volleys on his hull, doing anything from just a couple hundred damage shots to those somewhat rare 6-7k impactful volleys. So this dance continues, and for an indefinite amount of time I proceed to land more than a hundred hits on the BB, and guess what? He's not dead. And then his HP even starts growing back a little bit because Repair skillz. It is extremely frustrating to go about inflicting damage in a such a prolonged and thoughtful fashion through dozens and dozens of hits and then watch a BB not only do the same damage with just a few lucky hits but also negate some of the damage you have done with a single push of a button. And CA eventually get hits, no matter how much it evaded. Unless the BB is brain dead, he can eventually figure out your evasion pattern. Also, the maps are small, RNG spreads out the shells, and BBs are practically always in weapon's range. Besides, there are other things that can shoot at you while you're dueling with a BB. It is also funny that you should say that I don't understand what a metagame is, when in the same sentence you wrongly define it as known tactics and strategies. I think Wikipedia is your friend there. As for your playing skills, well, like I've said, I have seen them first hand. I'm the guy that actually won that game in which you leeched and then later died stupidly. But since this seems to trouble you a lot, I'll use the stats of my friend Grim to make my point (that would be the point which you had obviously missed). You see I was not using some temporary stats that barely have a impactful sample to start an e-peen measuring contest but to explain the following... http://worldofwarships.eu/cbt/accounts/500495666-_Grim_/ So have a look at those stats and compare them with mine. Done yet? Good. Notice that Grim has a similar amount of battles as I, a higher survival rate than I, an automatically a better kill ratio, and more damage per battle. Why? Is he a much better player than I? Perhaps. But then why is his win rate significantly lower? And here comes that point, please read it slowly. Currently, ALL the better BB players are playing super careful, staying in open waters and exchanging fire at 10km+ ranges. And while this strategy allows these BBs do way more damage than CAs, because not only are they taking less risk with they higher range guns, dishing out shells with way more alpha, and absorbing way more hits than any other class could (absorbing even more damage now with the so-called repair skill which as I said might not be OP but sure is stupid), BUT ALSO makes them less likely to go into capping points on Domination mode since those points are usually in the middle of the map and surrounded by islands. Basically, BBs are on one hand OP when used in the way described above because of their current accuracy and damage potential, but are also rendered somewhat impotent by a game mode that requires them to forgo that very effective strategy, and to move closer to the enemy and terrain. Now, as for my grinding path. I am doing American CAs atm, although I have started CVs and DDs as well. I have played Omaha until I had unlocked the Cleveland, and I have played the Cleveland until I have unlocked the Pensacola which I am currently grinding. And FYI, Pensacola is not underpowered garbage but a rather fine ship. My opinions on the US CA line for whom it may concern: Omaha - Balanced Cleveland - slightly OP due to overly fast gun reload times Pensacola - Balanced So, as you can see. I say it how it is, not how I would want it to be. And that's the big difference between us. I am proper tester while you're just a BB fanboy
-
First off, I have played the class. Stats get wiped every few patches, remember? Second, I am not saying that the Repair ability on BBs somehow makes BBs OP. The fact that BBs can take down a cruiser in just two volleys is what makes them OP. Repair ability is just stupidly arcade to the point where it ruins game immersion and effects game balance in unpredictable ways. It creates messed up situations such as: - CA sees almost dead BB. - CA says to himself: "That guy is gone in one volley. I'm gonna roll into range." - BB goes out of view as CA approaches - CA gets into range and prepares his ambush - BB comes back into view but this time with an extra 10k hp because Repair skillz - CA lands a volley but doesn't kill BB - BB fires back once and CA dies That's just one situation off of the top of my head about how that ability can ruin skill-based gameplay. FYI, I never said that BBs should be used as long range snipers, I just said that that's how people are using them mostly. Also, since you found it necessary to talk about my stats, let's talk about yours as well. Your stats are mostly average. Mostly. One thing that sticks out is your 70% survival rate. You play BBs almost exclusively, even though you like to lecture others about playing other classes, and you seem to survive a lot of battles, even the battles that you lose. You must be really lucky. Fighting from standard ranges and almost never getting killed. But then again, I was in battle with a guy that had an almost exact name as you. Twice actually. And that guy was sniping in his BB from 15k plus ranges, and even demanding cruiser AA cover over the global chat. But that couldn't have been you because that guy actually got killed. In the end, when there was no more sniping to be had, he greedily rushed toward a CV and got torpedoed from the air. True story. I think that people who shout OP this, and OP that can be annoying at times. But, on the other hand, people who instead of shouting OP just play dumb and say nothing at all, and then go about casually playing that allegedly OP thing are actually much more sinister. Especially if such a person carries an Alpha Tester tag under his name.
