  1. Can someone tell me what is the rearm time for the carrier's planes these days. In Alpha it was 40-50 seconds bit it feels much faster now.

Please get rid of the RNG in the game

No, but it would make it better, no? CA players are already complaining about getting citadel pwned in the higher tiers and you want to increase accuracy? Perhaps all of you new players and Beta testers should stop your "buff this, nerf that" diatribes and just enjoy the perfect game that we Alpha testers had given you...
  3. AnuSuaraj

    Cv camo value + speed

I agree that CVs should have much worse camo than they do now. Speed is fine, but I would also nerf agility a bit.
  4. Firstly, I neg-repped you right at the start for being one of those dweebs that really needs to learn to keep his useless anime crap (that nobody fu*king cares about and is quite annoying - no you didn't spam this garbage in this thread but you did in other threads) off of the Forum. Secondly, if higher tier CAs are such a pain on the higher tiers then why is it also the most played class in those same tiers? Thridly, aim mod? Really? Let me guess, you no like get citadeled? Grow up please. Fourthly, I really need more neg reps. One per day is just not enough.

Please get rid of the RNG in the game

Galadul, on 07 August 2015 - 02:12 PM, said: I would have preferred a bit better accuracy and a bit lower alpha, keeping dmg potential more or less the same as now - just to make the class feel more rewarding to play, instead of feeling like you're playing lottery. So you would have preferred a cruiser? Then why play battleships?
  6. AnuSuaraj

    Why?

    No, and no it isn't.
  7. Please tell me more about the awesome OP-ness of the Fv183 and the IS-7...which are like totally OP...like totally.

Please get rid of the RNG in the game

Tru dat bro. I think a BB salvo should always hit, because BBs that just instapwn everything would be the exact opposite of annoying.
  9. Yeah, that was back when Wargaming was a little Belrussian outfit that had little to no impact on the gaming world. Their devs were few and overworked so they allowed modders to fill in the holes. Today's WG is a multimillion dollar company that can release WoT updates every few months and all the useful stuff that modders used to throw in (minimap with tank names, reload time counter, better crosshair etc..) has been implemented ages ago. All the stuff that's left is hardcore BS like XVM, Warpack, draw distance markers and other dubious BS which has no place in the game in my humble opinion. WoWS is also fine in that regard and I think the files should stay encrypted. And them modders can go make another retarded zombie mod for CoD for all I care.

WoWs is a bit of an odd duck - CPU% load

Yes, they are. http://www.techspot.com/article/1039-ten-years-intel-cpu-compared/ As they say, go Haswell or go home. In any case, if you are a fellow IT proffesional then you know your analysis and logical deduction here is shoddy at best. It's common knowledge by now that WG's engines don't do well in multicore support department.

WoWs is a bit of an odd duck - CPU% load

Wargaming's engines are designed to run on crappy Soviet era computers and to be stable as possible. FYI, that CPU you've listed in your original post is outperformed these days by a Celeron G1820... And laptop CPU's are like a shade of their desktop selves. Just sayin'.
  12. AnuSuaraj

Atlanta need 8 km torp range

And my US DDs needs IJN torps for the same reason.
  13. AnuSuaraj

WoWs is a bit of an odd duck - CPU% load

I think you should leave conclusions such as "WoWS was coded badly..." to people who actually write code for a living. Furthermore, I find your little test enigmatic in terms of purpose... So you ran some benchmark that measures "CPU usage" with a forced 3 core run. What about performance? Did it get better? Frame rates? Anything?
  14. Personally, I hope WG encrypts all the game files for both WoT and WoWS, closes the API completely, and also introduces a client integrity check that automatically permabans anyone that tries to install a mod of any kind. But that's just me.
  15. Browsing through these Forums on a regular basis has become rather irritating activity, mostly because of hundreds of conflicting whine threads ranging from biased to downright mental. It is for this reason that I have decided to make one comprehensive thread that should put everyone's mind at ease and also teach you how to play the game instead of rage quitting because of your own ineptitude and then polluting the Forum with a copious amount of dribble that you have failed to squeeze through your brain to mouth filter, assuming you even have one. Let us start things off with everyone's favorite subject... OMG! Torps are OP! No. They're not. You can take that at face value from a guy that has launched thousands of torpedoes with an AWESOME hit rate of around 11% or so. And the only reason I hit with those measly 11% is because of unenlightened dweebs who think that their battleship should be steered in the most straight line possible or that, better yet, battleships should be crawling around islands at an almost static pace, using terrain as cover, like you know, in that other game with tanks. Here's my addition to The Complete Idiot's Guide to Torpedo Evasion: 1. Every ten seconds slightly alter your course and speed. No naughty and invisible DD spamming torps will ever hit you. I GUARANT-F...ING-TEE IT... 2. Keep a reasonable distance from any larger land masses to avoid getting blind rushed by a DD or cruiser with torps 3. When attacked by torpedo planes (yes, we know that the manual drop is kind of messed up but they will fix that soonTM) turn into the approaching planes. 4. When being rushed by a DD, turn away from him (yes, you have time for that since even the stealthiest DD will get spotted at 6km), and while steaming full speed in the opposite direction lob big HE shells at him with your rear turret. Follow a slight zig zag pattern while running away from the DD in order to throw off his aim. A target that's moving away from a DD in that manner is the hardest target to hit with a torpedo, even from close range. There, just do that, if you're still getting torpedoed than by all means, open a whine post. And please don't think that just because some people agree with you, that you might actually be right. Most of the new players prefer battleships which more than explains the copious amount of whining directed at all things that kill battleships, which are at the moment aircraft carriers and destroyers. That's a just little thing called bias... Moving on... Rock, paper, scissors... I've heard this expression a lot of times on the Forum, and it's freaking annoying to say the least. WoWS is not a freaking rock-paper-scissors game. Rock-paper-scissors is a definitive and predictable children's game in which the paper never defeats scissors and scissors never defeat rock. In WoWS I use my destroyer, which is paper, to kill both rocks and scissors alike, to kill battleships and cruisers, carriers and other destroyers, all in equal measure. And my DDs have also been killed by all four classes so to say that each class in WoWS has some specified target in form of another game class is utterly wrong. I don't want to hear another mention of this stupid and logically flawed analogy, especially not to justify some illogical game mechanic with a sentence in the fashion of "Yeah, cruisers have to have them guided missiles because rock, paper, scissors." Besides, boot-nuke-cockroach is a much better game than rock-paper-scissors. OMG! Unfair matchmaking! Yes, it is unfair a bit. There aren't enough players in classes beside battleship and cruiser at the moment, and there aren't enough players of any class in the higher tiers, and yes, truth be told WG's Matchmaker still needs a lot of work regardless of those two facts. And that's why we have that whole open beta thing. It will be fixed, and your whining will not make things go any faster. Also, FYI, those games in which my team drew the shorter MM straw? Yeah, I win those regularly. They have a carrier and we don't? Well, I'll just kill their carrier then. Their BB is are higher tiered than our own. Well, I'll just torp those guys first then. My point is that players win battles, not ships nor MM. PLAYERS. OMG! The game is so super unbalanced! Ehrm, no. The game is slightly unbalanced. There a few ships that need attention. Cleveland needs it's DPM and accuracy looked at, Minekaze needs to have its stealth and agility nerfed, low tier DDs have to reload their torpedoes slower, higher tier DDs need to reload faster, CVs need to have their manual drop redesigned etc.. These are all minor tweaks in my opinion, nothing worth getting all bent out of shape for. Except for that BB ability to restore HP. That's just stupid and has to go. DID YOU HEAR ME WG?! OMG! Cruisers are OP! They killed my battleship! It's called AP ammo. And if you hit the middle of that cruiser than you might score something that's called a "citadel hit" which means that cruiser is as good as dead. My point is, if a single cruiser defeats you in a gun duel, than your BB game is weak. And that's totally not the game's fault. And if you get gunned down by two or more cruisers than you're a victim of something called "the aversion toward looking at the minimap syndrome..." which is a most vicious disease that plagues many stronk WoT players to this very day. OMG! Carriers are OP! A little bit, yes. And mostly because of the ability to make manual torp drops so close to the ship that it makes evasion almost impossible. But carriers also serve a vital purpose of forcing people to think about formations and air cover instead of letting them wander aimlessly across the map. During the Alpha testing stage, the lack of carriers resulted in a boring and uncoordinated team play, ending most battles with an unsatisfying draw. Carriers are the wolves of the Yellowstone park. They make the local wildlife smarter, quicker, and less prone to destroying the eco system by not giving a fu*k. If you don't understand what I'm saying just google "The reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone." Conclusion Everything just boils down to the fact that the "heavy tonk" crowd from WoT has arrived to WoWS and that they expect their BBs to just own everything from the word go. Do these people angle their armor to incoming shells? No, they show you their full broadside. Do these people change course and speed to dodge potential torps? Nope. Even when their "You're spotted newb!" bulb is fully lit up, they still continue onward in a straight line, undistrubed by the fact that there could now be players actively trying to kill them. Do these people use the correct ammo for any given situation? Nope. All these people do is die really a lot, assume it's the game's fault, and then come to the Forum to whine about it. Well, as the title says, Thank you but NOW PLEASE STFU!
  16. Getting torpedoed by a DD? Try to avoid the torps or take as less damage as possible. Use your repair to stop flooding. Getting torpedoed or bombed by a carrier? Try to minimize the damage. Then use your repair to stop flooding/fires. Got AP-ed by battleship? If dead, go back to port and try to dodge his shots better next time. If alive, repair damaged modules and fire back. Your BB under attack by a HE shooting CA? He got you on fire? Use repair! Oh wait he got you on fire again, and again, and again?! Your DD under attack by an HE shooting CA? He knocked out your propulsion? Use repair! Oh wait, he knocked out your engine again, and again, and fires...damn. I'm pretty sure that while all ships can be annoying at times, only CAs are annoying all the time and to all other classes of ships. Like I said, HE crit mechanic is broken. Also, Murmansk, Omaha, and Cleveland are probably the most OP easy mode ships in the game.
  17. AnuSuaraj

So what is your jinxed ship?

And after Nicholas you will finally be FREE... to get the Farragut which is basically a Nicholas with even worse camo, shorter range torps, and tier 6 MM. Enjoy.
  18. CA's may not be OP, but they are annoying due to the broken HE mechanic.
  19. AnuSuaraj

Why does everyone bum the cleveland?

Yeah, I also took the Cleve out stock that one time, and it was all like, whaat?! Slow and sh*t. Did nothing special but everyone was like: Yeah kill that OP sh*t. And I was like: Whaat? My Cleve ain't OP bro, it's weak dog. And then after they killed me, my girlfriend sent me a text like: "I'm leaving you and sh*t!" And I was like: "Whaat?!" Anyway, the Cleve sucks bro, trust me. It's all like stock and sh*t. They say when you upgrade it that it's all DPM sky high, HE crit factory, immune to carriers and sh*t. But I ain't buying that. Gonna free XP this turd and go to Pensacola, cause that's where it's at. Them big guns... Pensacola for life dog...forget the Cleve.

    Bug? Invisible Torpedos

My guess is that while he was watching the enemy torpedoes on his aimed side, some friendly cruiser probably spammed a bunch of torps into his unaimed side, thus causing this "WTF just happened?!" effect...
  21. Honestly, I agree that the HE mechanic is silly. And also, I think that BBs, since they have bigger guns and a lower rate of fire should have a higher chance for a critical hit per shell than cruisers/destroyers which have smaller guns and a higher rate of fire. Right now cruisers mostly match BBs for range, outmatch them for accuracy and dpm, and because they fire more shells they also have a much higher chance for crits. It's a major issue in the game and will undoubtedly be fixed soon TM.
  22. AnuSuaraj

    Swap Cleveland and Pensacola

So 45% of people prefer the overpowered Omaha over the overpowered Cleveland? Maybe we could have the same match up between Minekaze and Isokaze?

Improving hit ratio for secondary guns

The secondaries are there to supplement you damage output and that they do well. Besides, would you really want some AI algorithm to sink ships for you?
  24. AnuSuaraj

Improving hit ratio for secondary guns

I personally think that secondaries are good enough for a weapon that's AI controlled and is completely unrelated with player's skill or lack thereof. I really would't want to play a game in which one can get killed by an afk BB player. FYI, you can improve your secondaries through skills/upgrades.
