I actually estimated that I would be able to get over the limit, but decided that I would just play for the intermediate rewards, and for the fun. I managed to reach 263 pearls and then stopped playing to give everybody else a better chance. My suggestion to WG: give people who didn't get the Kamikaze R a discount on the ship in the shop, proportional to the amount of pearls they earned.
