    [Basics] Damage mechanics

    I need your help on this: The torpedo damage and chance of flooding depends on the torpedo itself and the anti torpedo protection of the ship. It progresses with the tiers where tier 1 ships don't have any (so 0% reduction) and tier 10 BBs (best anti torpedo protection) have 50% reduction of damage and chance of flooding, the rest is scaled in between. The flooding damage itself also depends on the tier and it's between 0.5% and 0.125% hp/sec. That mean that tier 1 ships will lose 0.5%hp/sec, while tier 10 only 0.125% hp/sec. There can be only 1 flooding. Destroyers take increased torpedo damage in the middle section of their ship, that's why sometimes 1 torpedo from TB can oneshot them even if the max damage is lower then their hp pool. I had quite long pause on this game because awful repair cost on tier 8-10. But now I bought New Mexico and on these tree days I had flooding about 4 times that I cannot stop by repair... But when my ship started flooding from 30k HP, I took a damage about 500hp/s, all to way to the end until the ship sunk. That is over double amount hp/s if I use to calculate by this information... Are these mechanics changed an if are, how is the person that can do something to this matter, because now DMG/s is too big! It's not nice so wait and lose 2/3 ship hp to melt down while you cannot do nothing...

    Solution: Kill some planes and YES kill Ships also! DMG same that in first post. but taken DMG about 50% og the ships HP...

    I know that. but how much you need to do DMG and shoot planes down, to just get even!? 150k + 20 maybe? In http://warshipstats.com/analytics/ Yamato have AVG DMG 94k, so over 100k should be enough!

    High tier repair costs too high?

    Ectar, it's good that you notice what players are discussing at the forum. Just one thing about missions. These old mission three at time are just useless, 35k silver from destroying 3 ships or 15 planes is too low. After a match on my Izumo, that extra 35k just barely enough to ammo costs. I know that in 0.5.1 are giving a lot more missions/tasks, but would this old three have even some boost someday? Maybe when you get level XX, = mission/tasks gives x.x times more silver or like... Bigger toys == bigger costs == bigger rewards BR, Spezct

I got my Izumo and after 40 matches, it is a mmmm quite OK. But it is not even close to Amagi or rest my JPN0 BB's and yeah, that repair costs... Not nice at all... BR, Spezct

    This is so true! Repair costs are too high... As BB player, you need to be now extra careful that you can exceed that 50k dmg to just make even at end of match. And yes this is a sad story, because you need premium to achieve this result.... I got my Izumo and that 50k is not easy task to do in every match! Easiest way is to lower repair costs in every class ships, starting from tier 8, bit more 9 and bit more 10. Not too much, but just make same amount credits than XP, when you open next tier ship... For modules, you can use premium ship or play extra matches. It not fun to just farm +15 million to Yamato by playing Murmanks and Yubari... BR, Spezct

    Did you read what I wrote? 70 + 50 games = 50... Maybe you need to look again... XP is not the problem here. That is just easy, but in same time when you cannot get enough credits even close to next tier ship, well that sucks hard! And yes not even when using premium account. That just how greedy WG is now! I'm not asking here any shortcuts to acquire 8-10 tier ships, but just to tune economy little up that XP and credit income goes hand by hand on next tier... I'm not interested anymore farming credits in hundreds games to just get enough silver to buy high tier ship again and again and again.... Ps. Good that you started to comment this.     Jeah, economy is just awful in this game. I have seen that now when I got Amagi and Mogami. Short example: I have now 70 games on Amagi and avg XP 1600+. I need about 78000 XP to open Izumo, so that is 78000/1600 = ~50 matches. Same time I can make after repairs+ammunition about avg 150 000 silver from a good game (dmg +75 000 and 2-3 kills). Izumo price is 16 million and with better hull 20 million. I got now 5 million. In these 50 matches I can make 7,5 million, if I can play those good results... So I'm short over 4 to 8 million!!! All these numbers are calculated on premium account! If you not have a premium account, you can just divine silver earnings by 2! This just means that you have to play one single line to somehow match enough silver + XP to next ship and with premium! WG please change economy (repair costs, earnings, etc.), that I don't need to play +50 extra matches to just get enough silver to next ship! Ps, I have had for a long time four other ship just waiting to bought, but just cannot to that now. I put my anchor down and waiting if something happens... BR, Spezct

    Carrier balance after 0.4.1 ?

    I almost felt sad after reading your text... My advise is that put all your skills, perks, modules and rest to improve torpedo planes. No matter do enemy have one or two US CV. Then just use that one fighter plane as a bait to draw enemy fighters away and same time strike on a BB. I had was same problem on Boque CV. First I user two fighter planes setup and drop enemy planes like flies and after match was rewarded 500 XP. After couple matches I changed to one TP and started to make solid 10 - 20 torpedo hits and raise my DGM. Reward was easily over 1500 XP (base XP) again and again. Yes not always, cos sometimes enemy got all my TP planes... And this was before 4.1 higher tier CV on enemy team... So put all your money on TP's and try to sneak open line where your can go those 4+ torp hits! Same problem is on CA's when you not doing damage and trying to protect your team BB's. Get "the sky on a flames" medal and again 500 - 700 EXP... BR, Spezct
