Shooting from the hip again. Yes stealth firing is a PIA when you have a team left around you, but manageable (same with smoke), it's not good in a 1 v's 1 - whether that is DD V'a BB/CA or CA/CL v;'s BB. I don't miss it since it was removed, do you? I disagree with the OP's stance that cruisers need some form of global buff to counter the BB numbers, but to be honest, while BB's may be consistently the highest overall proportion of ships in each battle, I don't find them to be the rofflestomping bugbears that some people claim they are either.
-
you chase down a (normally) faster ship...? Hence why my 'unless they make a stupid mistake' comment.
-
You can't outrun a ship that is faster than you are...., and yes, team play can counter, assuming there are any left.
-
Because stealth firing without an answer to it is a game killer. Smoke can be bad enough, but smoke runs out.... stealth firing never does, unless the firer makes a stupid mistake, as they tend to be faster than their victims.

When you play a CV you are mirror matched, so at least the other CV is also a T8 - but that is a bye the bye I have Saipan, Enterprise and Kaga in my harbour, have done for some months, haven;t driven any o them because I am not ready for CV battles at those tiers - drop down tiers and play up towards T8 using CV's, you will get used to having to be lower tiered against the other ships. Nothing wrong with Lo Yang or Atago when up tiered either (Alabama Tripitz and Prinz agreed)

Wow, hadn't realised that there were films around that even 35 year olds needed their parents permission to see.... AIGF...

Might be interesting to know how many players have Seagal/Dunkirk and I guess any others that I might have missed. I have Dunkirk, but not Seagal (who I could have had if I had been willing or able to put the grind in to get him, can;t remember why I didn't at the time).
-
As I have been informed many times - partway through the campaign myself. Campaigns - not sure anything can be tagged as 'permanent', but persistent, yes. [edit - english language burp corrected]
-
And anyone can grind her out, so she is standard gameplay stuff (providing that that particular campaign stays alive, once it dies, assuming it does, then Shino' becomes yet another timelocked ship, but then they might add her to the premium ships at some stage, so again, from that point on, 'standard').
-
The unique legally restricted stuff will probably never get repeated (Seagal etc), but nothing preventing WG was having an event with a similar reward that they provide themselves. For something to be a 'reward', it cannot be an everyday standard gameplay item. Otherwise why bother with them at all. I suspect that it is a case of - something will come along until then you the player will have to cope against those who did get the reward when it was available.
-
Thank you - and get well soon. cheers

This is going to sound ungreatful WG, but

I don't have any T0's yet and have been around for a while (to say the least): - 1) free stuff is always welcome 2) I fail to see why loyalty/thank you rewards should not be geared to the level of dedication and commitment of the players My quibble if anything over the structure of the current offer is that it isn't clear what you need to do to get the achievements.... live and learn, but hard to guess what is needed for those that you haven;t achieved yet and the descriptions don't tell you either. -
But we already know that you are loose.... ;)
-
it was added to someones fish and chips, along with the vinegary thread and consumed forever, unti it had completed passing through the relevant mod, after which no one would want to get close to it....

I give you (Not me ;) )

OP I know it is a game so reallity gives way to balance. In what way is heavy rain any different to smoke when it comes to how radar works in game? The difference between a war-game and an arcade game is that arcades are all about playability, wargames are all about trying to recreate realism on a practical basis. WoWs is a mix of the two. Blindfire capability was really a late ww2 development (early sets either couldn't produce enough data or accurate enough data for it to be used effectively for blindfiring), so late tier ships having the ability to 'blindfire' in cyclones is ok - non-radar ships using that data is not particularly real though. Using searchlight illumination would work in that way, but that is a non-sequitur.

Yes, agreed, who wouldn't post the good ones, and I do watch some of his streams so have seen him get 'deleted' on a regular basis.

And yet, even with all that focusing and the dead in 5 minutes battles he still manages to pull the following stats - https://eu.warships.today/player/529265619/Flamu I would rather have him on my side than in the red team (although I would like to sink him, just once, but not encountered him in battle, yet :) )
-
OP - a few questions for you:- 1) Do you track your own statistics? There are a few sites that offer these services - just google WoWs stats - there are 3 main ones warships today, wow numbers and wow stats. Look at your stats, check ship win rates, ship damage, survival etc. They will surprise you. http://www.wowstats.org/ http://wows-numbers.com/ https://eu.warships.today/ 2) Do you use Comparatives? Nothing happens in a vacuum - there are 11 other players in your team and 12 others on the red team. In the battles that you are in, at times take a note of those who impress you with their achievements and those who don't. have a look at their stats. Warships today also offers you direct comparatives in each statistical measure to the server average for the stats they display - just hover your mouse over the stat that you are looking at and the answer will appear (there are some gaps in this display, although the info is there, just open another tab of warships today and instead of player stats do ship stats for those that are missing). 3) Do you ever say to yourself "that was a really great battle"? We all play the game for a number of reasons, but 'doing well in it' is probably the most widespread aspiration (pure speculation on my behalf, but hopefully true). 4) Do you watch YouTubers who offer advice and tips etc on gameplay, ships, builds, tactics etc? If you are doing that already, then with respect you are either watching the wrong ones, or seeing but not understanding the messages they are imparting. I like Flamu https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6jZ3uNWJKtJokkJxPLA88g and have watched a lot of his videos, I still cannot come close to how well he plays, but I have learned stuff that I try to put into practice. One last point, you have come to realise that you are dissatisfied with how well you play, currently you are blaming that on the others in your team, but the only consistent factor in all the 4k games you have played is yourself, take responsibility for your own performance and build it up - you will both enjoy the greater effectiveness in games and also seeing the improvements in how you perform. Good luck and enjoy the game.

Warships 2nd Birthday Special [and Patch 06.10.1] - Lots of goodies

I'd rather have this one :) -
I would be all in favour of replay reports to WG to support allegations of deliberate TK'ing - providing that there was a disincentive to sending in b/s reports, perhaps the same punishment handed out to deliberate TK'ers gets 'given' to those who send in false reports - would cut the crap out fairly quickly, although probably catching the odd innocent also. My understanding is that unless there is a subscription/fee to play the game, the legal recourse stuff is fairly (extremely) limited. WG are F2P, so not much cover/protection for players.

So the terror of Tier 5 is finally getting a nerf
philjd replied to ajb13's topic in General Discussion
When first released she had no smoke (or heal) at all.. .so this is a nerf to a buff because she was so absolutely rubbish without it. -
