Broke 2 personal records yesterday. Lo Yang - (highest damage record for a DD and also T8 until the Kutusov battle below) 142k damage. Kutusov (highest damage record for a cruiser and also T8) now 147k (only just added IFHE to her captain)

With respect - the game testers within WG just cannot play enough battle with each new ship for any reliable statistical data to be achieved. This is why Supertesters get a version to trial, then it gets released out to the rest of us to actually start putting together some substantial number of games so that the performance of a ship can be truly judged. So while I agree with Flamu as he is competent enough to have fair assessment of a ship, lets let the numbers speak for themselves once a decent number of games have been racked up. So those who have her can 'watch the world burn' until the stats prove that she (and any others) deserve a nerf.

Actually, i think that you have the problem backwards. The issue with mixing 'good' players with those with less skill does not come from the players with the lesser skills, but usually from the frustrations of those better players (barring the odd one who gets his (her) jollies from farming baddies). And while sports may be a worthwhile comparison, a lot more competitive associations traveled down the league system, with the handicap system being a rarity. But a worthwhile discussion topic as a league system seems to be off the cards.

I'm not sure anything would reduce the BB overpopulation, unless you nerf them into almost unplayable as it is the 'big' names that draws people to the game itself. The vast majority do not start the game thinking 'I'd love to drive a Fubuki, wtf is that again?' but 'woh yeah, Bismarck!' etc.

um, no. The only time I had a real problem with stealth firing was in a CL being shot by a stealth DD. But the concept of invisible firing is ludicrous to start with (other than terrain use and radar blind fire, 3rd party spotting is a tried and tested actuality).

I'm not that far off completing my Shinonome campaign (slow of me I know) and still have Fubuki in Port, can I ask more experienced DD drivers - should I keep the Fubuki for T6 'stuff', or sell her and expect to only use/need the Shino' going forward? Thanks in advance.

You are forgetting (or didn't know about) when the KV used to see T10 (this is before it was split into the KV and KV2) - the derp gun could always do something in T10, occasionally something useful too :)

Ok, thank guys - I had sent this through to support (with log) but no response as yet. Reason for posting here was to see if a quick fix was available as there tends to be a lot of players who are much more techy than myself :)

For me it tends to happen in battle - either during the countdown or actually in a battle.

I grew up on Airfix and Tamiya, had to craft my own diorama's sadly and I was not good at such things.. :( (Loved Tamiya's waterline series as you could wargame with those :) )

The Richelieu is far too good looking to be a French battleship.... ;)

Make them available for doubloons - Pay for advantage certainly, but eventually available to those who grind enough and have the patience to wait?

It's a premium ship, they can all be judged by cost/benefit - so €100 v's package+performance. For me, she manages T7 (so T5 through T9) - although I make no claims to being good in her (Couldn't stand the Gneisenau, but enjoy Hood).

HMS Hood - the largest submarine in the fleet - which was her nickname in service (very low freeboard and the aft deck was awash when she was at speed or in a heavy sea). But yes the boundary between taking the michael and being offensive can be very grey. OT I bought the €100 package because 1) I could (I'm fairly well off and this game is a hobby for me) 2) the premium time and signal flags are handy 3) HMS Hood flag, well, why not. 4) I wanted the ship herself. Also don't forget that the Bismarck campaign had missions that were Hood specific, so enabled faster completion if you had her. I enjoy her - my record for shooting down aircraft is in the Hood (just after she was launched CV's chucked their a/c at them because she had "poor" AAA).

Damn.. I confused this ship and the Kitakami..... good job my finger twitched.

MrConway Given the reaction to this announcement, how about WG giving some idea as to how or what the approach is to re-balancing CV's so that they become an acceptable ship class for the game, also with some expectation on when the rework would be publicly tested. This would serve 2 purposes:- 1) actually show that WG is and HAS given some time and effort into this, as it has been an issue since before launch, never mind during the 'Year of the CV' (while i appreciate that the year is not yet finished, there is little enough faith in any actual progress other than selling off premium CV's in various states that may or may not get warped by the "upcoming" change). 2) At least alleviate a lot of the storm that has arisen due to the misguided (my opinion) banning of CV's from the first clan wars as it would show that WG are taking the matter seriously and addressing it urgently.

Actually, everyone has the right to voice their opinion on any subject at any time - it is a question of how much weight is given to that opinion. Experts will never be 100% correct in everything they speak of, experts also differ on the same topic all the time, which expert is right and which one is wrong... that comes down to the topic and evidence over time, sometimes even the preference or capabilities of the 'listener'.
