Mikasa Marathon on the Asia Server

I agree, she is a bit of a seal clubber, but she shouldn't be driven like a regular BB. She ain't in the same class. There is just no other class called pre dreadnaught in the game. Plus her healthpool is quite big. Yes, she's slow and her mains have crappy aim, but her secondaries are great. But I agree: T3 is a step above her effective usefulness.

Mikasa Marathon on the Asia Server

Proud owner of a Mikasa here. She got a Kraken batch with 53k damage in the captain's quarters. It's a shame though that even low tier got their range upgraded last. Since this girl got to get her dmg from her secondaries, that gives her effectively a big nerf. Still like her a lot though.

@EdiJo Doesn't seem to come out of the BB group, though xD Cause the CA group got the big red line.
  4. Yeah, I don't see a problem if DDs get a 10 sec "spotted" duration instead of a 20 sec one. Most of the time you'll have other people to shoot at the DD around you or at least you should have. And when you and a DD are the last one standing, with a torp oriented DD you will be screwed anyway, as you should. With a gun oriented DD, That boat has to bring so much fire down on you that in the time it takes to burn you down, you should have enough time to get a hit on the floating toy ship. And it's not like it can fall back in stealth, go around you and fire from the other side, go back in stealth and run around you again, rinse and repeat before the time runs out at the latter bit of a match. And finally, as a BB player you should be at the short end of the balance part between a showdown with a DD if you go at it one on one. They are when they go up against a cruiser and Cruisers are when they go up against BBs. In a BB, you allready got enough HP and firepower with main and secondaries to stand a chance against gunboat DDs, even in 10 seconds time, which will probably be longer, because a gunboat has to do quite a lot of hits to put a dent in BB healthbars. Plus you are quite safe from gunboat torps because they can't invisifire them. But this all doesn't matter most of the time, because you got your own spotters and anti DD ships closeby, at least you should have if you play the game correctly. and then 10 seconds in the open is still an eternity when targeted by gunboat and cruiser turrets, plus people still know where they are and can still hunt them down. You should count to ten seconds and see how long it still takes and know what kind of sh*t gunboats and cruisers can still throw at you in that time. Personally, in a normal match, I find it rather odd that I get the time in my BB to train my guns on a DD long enough to fire my guns at one in the distance and kill it. DD and CL should be the only ones that are able to train their guns on a DD in 10 seconds to kill it normally, unless the Gunboat does continues fire, which it has to do to get some damage in and then BBs got enough time to get in a few shots. IMO long range DD kills, esspecially from BBs are happening far too often because of the long "spotted" time for DDs. Certainly when most of the DDs are gunboats now and have to act like mini/midi cruisers with only a sliver of their healthpool. Almost none of the current DDs fit in the original rock/paper/scissor gameplay they used to fit in.

    French Cruisers-Looking Good!

Seems to me you never went beyond Emerald with the RN line ;) Fiji is god amongst everything matchmaking can throw her at. I never had such an easy and somehow predictable stream of 7 MvPs in a row. That boat eats any CL/CA for lunch and rips through BBs with 3k/4k per salvo to even BBs above her tier. I know how to play the game and the ship, but I'm no pro. Nevertheless it was laughable how simple it was to reach 1st place in each match. And I haven't done that in any other ship. I hoped I could keep up the flow in the Edinburgh, but I guess she is just that much different to the Fiji that I still hit the "learn the new ship" wall with the Edinburgh.

'Super' containers need a change asap

Even lower? :O Guess the RNG gods got some beef with me. Though I got one with lots of credits, which was nice, somewere last year. No matter, I'm having lots of fun just playing the game. the rest is extra.

Pensacola is it any good now? (Review)

My problem in the Cleveland is that everybody seems to have longer range and a special tracker with my name on it. I love the looks of the ship, I love the turret setup (as I love the fire spewing 4x3 setup from the russians), I love how the guns sound, but with 13.something km range I can't shoot anything before I get hit my metal, fire and explosives myself. At least it can take more beating than my other high tier cruisers in the Russian and Brttish line, but where I do well with the long range of the russian floating sigars or the awesome concealment and tricks the Brittish fight with, the Yankees with their shorter range than the Ruskies and worse concealment than the Tommies I just can't come to grips with. Doesn't stop me from trying cause I think it's too cool a ship not to try and git gut with, but with the standard 14 km on every other US cruiser down the line, things seem to be staying rough.

    0.6.3 Public Test Patchnotes

yey, long range battles in T7-10 AND T1-5. Let's make all tiers have an equal playstyle. Remove stealth fire: I thought is was a fine mechanic for a handfull of ships that could attain it. I never had one problem in any of the ship I played. Ah, WASD like an idiot is a better gameplay style than trying to find balance between firing range and consealment range. O, and locking T4-5 CV manual firing because you are afraid of experienced players using it against beginners? So instead of giving a detailed tutorial explaining CVs and preparing them correctly, you just move the problem to when they are tier 6, while they can be put in T6 games with their T4 CV without manual fire and with their T5 CV in a T7 game, again, without manual firing. You are not learning people to play CV, you are just crippling them and then throw them off the deep end lateron. Sealclubber will still be better than them, will still be more experienced and on T6, they will still know how to use manual firing better. Now you just take away beginner's oppertunity to learn everything they need to know and maybe the most important skill at the tiers they can get hurt in the least. At least the French Cruisers are coming. I can look forward to that.

    Too Many Islands

I've got no trouble at all with all those Island maps. I think there are sufficient maps where te longranged bigger ships have the upperhand. I quite like how the balancing is where big ships have the "outer ring" occupied and the smaller, more manouverable ships with lower range can fight with some more protection in the more central areas. I quite like that they have added estuary and neighbours. I find both maps fun to play with every ship class and, with placement of the objectives, quite diverse too

+1 I also agree with this suggestion. Happened to me many times.
