    CV rework appreciation thread

I too love teh gameplay. I wasn't a big fan of the old CV gameplay, but I've played a lot with the CVs after the Rework.
  2. Ok, so what has that to do with the OP's question for other CV captains about how they like the 2 CV games specifically?

Musashi broke the game for me.

Why worry when you like to play "Musashi: the game"? As long as you are having fun. I therefor don't see the reason for this thread. Or is it to show off your Musashi skills? Or the fact that you have all the lines at T10? Or a no-life amount of Fxp? Do I spy someone who needs a pat on their head and a "good boy!" as they are yearning for acknowledgement? :) Ok, You are awesome!! We all want to be like you ;)
  4. Not really satified with the details of the tests you conducted. I could only be convinced if you popped up in the line between your friendly BB and the enemy BB just before the enemy BB was going to shoot and it would directly focus you. If it had to turn it's cannons to face you, they could have time to switch shells.
  5. I don't understand, honest. Care to elaborate? 30% what? To the OP: what @Uglesett said. You don't really care what other CVs are in the game, as you can't really do anything against their actions.

    Exeter - Last stage

I recognise this a bit, as far as the boredom of English ships goes. I love the Lighting and Fiji, but between those two, the Icarus, Leander and KGV, there isn't much I've played with in the last week. I'm working on the 750k now, but I'm quite done with the whole RN line tbh, while it's usually my fave line.

Somehow the Fiji feels like the gun upgrade over the Leander is so much more potent that I don't mind the higher tiers.

    More dd's really??

Why the surprise? It could be one of only 4 different outcomes when a new line is introduced and from all lines ingame yet (and apart from the Pan asian line) every line except the French were filled out with the 3 classes that don't incite a mass uprise on the forums. And DD people will DD anyways. Thereby, you can hardly call them DDs: they are big, seem to have crappy concealment for it's class and lack smoke, so actually they are introducing the French ultralight cruiser line ;) And they takecup a DD spot in the MM. So aren't you lucky?

    WG`s joke camo.

If I take that camo out on my Cleve, it always silences my clan members on TS ;)

Just had to commend on your hidden content thingy, cause it sound like Fairy Tail ost :) Which is good btw. Love Fairy Tail ;)

How is Conqueror's accuracy compared to Lion?

That as it may be from a top down perspective, but that doesn't take in account the arc or the angle of impact. If you shoot from a long rang, the arc tends to be bigger with an angle that leans more toward a vertical drop. From this angle, a wide dispersion shotgun like wide spread has a higher chance to mis it's target. Because the arc from close range is almost nill, with no angle and you being closer to the target, so the spread is way less, shells that would normally land 20 meter behind the target will have more chance to hit a higher part of the ship, while shots that would land 20 meter before the bow at 15 km, would hit the lower part of the ship. ___ ___ It's easy: when looking at an oval area that looks like | | from a topdown view, the more horizontal you get to look at it, the more flat the oval gets until it looks like |___| And eventually ----- when your view is at sea level. | | ------ So the "heigth" or practical effect of V.disp gets lesser faster than that of H.Disp. up to a moment that V.disp. is almost neglectable while H. disp still counts. All because of the fact that the angle of impact caused by the arc of the shot changed with distance. Big arc, big V.disp at long distances. almost no arc, so almost no effect of V.disp from point blank range, apart from how high the guns are elevated above sea level and in regard to the height of the target it's shooting.

How is Conqueror's accuracy compared to Lion?

You are partly correct. Because of the nonexisiting arc on 5 km, the dispersion is mostly wide than long. In an Iowa though, missing the DD is an exception on the rule. In Lion, it's as if the ship is missing on purpose.

How is Conqueror's accuracy compared to Lion?

I hate the Brittish BB dispersion. I was on the fence about Roma because people said it's dispersion was crap, but I got no problem in that ship to hit stuff. In the Monarch and Lion though, if you target the enemy, it hits everything but the enemy. Word for those that face a RN BB, never get anywhere near a ship that is targeted by the RN BB as it will prolly hit you instead xD.

Will deffo take Fiji for that. easiest ship for the task imo.

I can get first blood with Lightning easily, so that's no issue. Getting 3 kills will be more of a pickle, not knowing when I can take out 3 targets. Always overextend when I'm pressured.
  16. For this game, I'm pro Brittania. Both their DDs and CLs work great for me. Fiji and Lightning are prolly my fave Silver ships. Their BBs are great up to T7. T8/10 are just too cross eyed to hit something reliably. I love KGV though. Their CV is a middle of the road kinda thing for me. I don't really have a nation that is anywhere near awefull. They all have their fun stuff and stong points. Though I'm mediocre with most ;)

    How does Skill effects WR?

You can really put in all the statistics you want, but with so many random values leading to the outcome of a match, you can't use WR as a way to determine if someone is skilled or not. If you got lucky and got pulled by good players, your win rate might go up. Otherwise you might be constantly standing at the top of your team, but they fail to win the match and your ratings going down. Having a bad day and lots on your mind, therefor losing games, winrating goes down. Great in long range ships, but not in light cruisers, still wanting to get that Minotaur and stumbled through the RN cruiser line. So your winrating drops, people tell you you are a crappy player, but your HIV constantly tops the list no matter if you win or lose. Does that mean that you are a crappy WoWS Captain? Looking at WR is a fun and interesting stat at most, but nothing to compare skills with. If you want to use it as a tool to determine one's skill. You need to delve waaaaay deeper into a person's past involving the game. Ship types, class types, individual learning curves, private situation, etc, etc. After exploring all that, you can start to make a somewhat honest and meaningfull statement on one's skills via winrates. Otherwise I'll never take anyone for their word involving someone's skills when others involve said person's WR.

Game is seriously flawed, XP and free XP booster

I hope you are kidding if you can't see the difference between giving everything for free or spending 1400+(!!!) hours grinding every silver ship out there. You aren't trolling me, are you?

CV rework failed every test it was set.

What I'm saying is that if people don't [edited] about CVs, they would take the next "bad thing for the game" and trying to get that out of the game. And games with or without CVs are evenly good/bad imo. I have no problem with any game either way. Only when my team as a whole plays crappy. But that has nothing to do with CVs.
  20. Played my Lightning again today because of the Exeter missions where I have to set fires in a T6/8 and just couldn't believe how good this DD is. Got Daring for a while now, but playing Lightning again, for me it must be the ultimate DD. Now I first wanted to ask what other people think of this particular DD, but it would probably be more fun and interesting to ask what DD you love most in the game, looking at it tier for tier.

Meh, being sensible with your targets leaves you with the DDs and that 1 BB that stood at the end of the line when they were giving out AA buffs....if they aren't anywhere near other ships that is. If I'm in my Lexington and I'm uptiered, this is what happens: Flying to the enemy line, Minotaur pops up, me taking evasive manouvers, getting a few AA hits while taking forever to get away from it's reach. Worchester...nope. Des moine, nope. Conq, Montana, Rep.....nope, nope, nope. Hinden is sailing with Henri and around 7 km from the mino, which doesn't seem to matter. Let's try the moskva.....and nope, planes are gone too. Ok, where are the DDs? Ah, Gearing! gonna get ya! What is shredding my planes?!? ....And back to the CV.

CV rework failed every test it was set.

If WG did that, we could as well shut the whole game down, because if CVs would get terminated, older problems would be the topic of samelike discussions, up until the point we are back to [edited] about how OP BBs/DDs are. Nah, CVs are in quite a good place imo, but the next few points will never be to everybody's liking: -playing a CV -playing against CVs -playing as a reworked CV -accepting anything WG changes/balances/adds So if we would follow what people don't like in the game and would delete all those points, there wouldn't be a game left :)

Wait, someone played 208 random battles which take like an average of 10 minutes, making that 34 hours, with another 124 co-op battles adding to that, so let's say at least 50 hours spend in your life to grind one line and you think that is fast? I think that's a nice grind for one line.
