Just a heads up. Special stream with Ev1n and Mademoisail
FukushuNL replied to Andrewbassg's topic in General Discussion
This is a quote from Mademoisail in that topic: "I am talking to the NA team members who will be involved in the stream tomorrow. We are all on the same page that no one gets banned for bringing up the subject. Bans only start happening when people are disrespectful and spam. The reason we are planning this stream is because we want to talk to you guys and clarify everything we can. " I really wonder if they are going to keep to that. LWM has quite a few bullitpoints chalked up earlier in that topic. I am afraid that it will be just another forgetable stream with dodgy non-answers, because otherwise they really have to hang everything out to dry or as they can say so nicely here in the Netherlands "with their buttocks exposed". Which translates quite awkwardly, I must say :) But "everything we can" prolly roughly translates to "nothing at all". -
Questions related to Missouri comeback and ways to buy it
FukushuNL replied to VedranSeaWolf359's topic in General Discussion
Don't. Please, just don't. Don't let WG know that even though they try their most ffed up monetization schemes, there are still people that fall for it. If you really want the Missouri for emotional values, buy a model kit and build it yourself. It's fun, it's probably just as pricy and you got the model for all times. If you want the ship for the money making, it's not worth it over other T9 specials. Better have a ship you are really good at to earn the moneyz.- 35 replies

The fact that in these tiems you even considered openingyour wallet for WG felt like a bullet flying right through my brain. Brrrrrr, so scary...

So adding CVs to CB triggers everyone to play smoke cruisers and now they are banning the smoke cruisers to "get rid of the problem"? Is this a correct assumption? If so, that's like shining a flashlight in someone's face, who covers his eyes with his/her hands and to get rid of the problem, you peel away his/her fingers instead of just turning of the flashlight.

A number of countries, a number that keeps on growing, have started fighting against games involving (paid) lootboxes, certainly where minors are involved. Countries like Great Brittain and the Netherlands (where I come from), for instance, have been taking steps ever since the EA surprise mechanics debacle. Together with letting PEGI and ESRB know about the wrong ratings, let your government's gambling authorities know about this games lootbox monetisation practises.

What is worse than getting a permacamo for a ship you don't have ?
FukushuNL replied to meuhbat's topic in General Discussion
What's worse is playing this game and expecting good things to happen. WG is a shitshow and they are doing nothing good for their creation. Those random skins are just another scam in a long line of scams and it is far from the worst one and by far the most obvious one. WG adores money, like hell they going to make it so that you get the right camo when there is a chance to get more money out of you when you get camos for ships you don't own. Same as sunk cost fallacy or something like that. -
The Missouri and how WG are now the king of Scum in the world of gaming.

I really want to help sign the petition, but I'm Dutch so I can only express my compassion and willingness to do so. I really hope it succeeds and the idea gets pushed through. -
WarGambling and The "game room" on HMS Belfast
FukushuNL replied to WorstSeaLord's topic in General Discussion
I also mailed the IWM that something as historical significant and of national pride should not be used to sell lootboxes to children and introduce minors to gambling. -
The great stuff is that they spew more evilish muckus while wading to their neck through their own slime and grime that everybody is calling them out for. They are so darn unintelligent that even in these times of us all letting them see how trash they are with each and every easily clearly visible lie and trick, they just keep on going trying to feed us another clearly visible lie.

.... that could use some very skilled digital ship builders and would like to build a arcade teambased naval game with pvp and pve modes, based on early 20th century naval warmachines, together with its community? I know this company that has excellent digital artists, but that is crap in most other places, like marketing, community contributor management, communication as a whole and treatment of its player base. I think it would be nice if the CC mass exodus would be followed up by a mass digital artist exodus to a company that could give us this Warship game but would put exactly the amount of focus on community engagement as WG puts on community money milking. Would that not be heaven? So, if someone know someone at a respectable game studio....
-
Please all. This should be the last straw that has now broken your camel's back, right? Now is the time for all of us to put a dot behind everything WG and call it quits? I too love the game as I love early 20th century naval warmachines, and WoWs is unique, but we can't let that dictate how WG is treating us or the game, right?
-
That's the 200/300 rating for. With a bit of luck when one's gramps will live to that age, WG is dead or at least the management has been swiched.
-
This, please, so much this, all. Even if you love the game, the people in control of the game have to go. Even if we have to burn this ship down, the infestation has been too far spread :/
-
Done. Pegi 18 is still too low for the agressive lootbox use WG handles the game with. I'd go for a PEGI 200, maybe 300 to be on the safe side.

Brilliant. This should stay on the first page for the next few months or so. Any forum mod can pin/sticky this?

Things you should do to help the Ex-CCs
FukushuNL replied to DDMafiaAssociateMember's topic in General Discussion
3: best stop playing the game alltogether. Playing the gane mostly says "I don't really care what you do, I'll keep coming back for more of it". I do enjoy the regular time to time gameplay, but as long as people "show their support" by playing the game, what people say on the forums or on social media doesn't matter. CCs leaving doesn't matter if the fans of the CCs give them a virtual pat on the back, then start up the game again. Who ARE a nessecity for WG are most of the F2P crowd to keep the servers alive and the whales to keep the money coming in. So either keep the masses from playing, which is a hard thing to do as they only play the game and don't follow the forum or social media. Or you have to get the whales on your hand, who should be a bit easier reachable but most of them seem to care more about owning more pixels than getting treated correctly. Neither of the options is doable because of the lack of caring throughout the player base. So the only way to get WG to change their ways is through the rising anti-lootbox rulings in the world or find something dirty internally at WG, like what happens at Blizzard-Activision. And even then, as long as nobody or no organisation is burnt on making WG and co really feel it, WG will hold a reorganisation, tell the world their usual "we understand and do better in the future" then let everything slide into the background and pick up where they left. -
Cheers, mate :D @WG: Keep up these scams and with a bit of luck even the whales will sprout legs and flee onto dry land towards more civilized places ;)

I do like my Optimus captain, but the event was nothing like the earlier Blue Steel anime event thingy from the days everything was able to be gotten for free.

Poll: what is your level of trust in WG as a company?
FukushuNL replied to Camperdown's topic in General Discussion
WG has time and time again shown they are actively distrustful and dishonest, trying to screw us around every bend. They are more mafia than gamecompany, but they are so obvious about it. I keep on wondering how people can stand working for and protecting the lies of a company like this. They must either be forced to do so or in with the dirt this company is spewing. A selfrespecting person with a choice to leave should have left this company by now, right? -
Aight! Another anti- HE fire spam threat and as usual loads of people coming to the rescue to tell all kinds of "useful" tips to "counter" going down in a ball of fire as a pushing BB, like "proper positioning", "know ehen to push and when not", etc, while it all comes down to keep sitting with your GK, CC or any other Brawling BB camping on the back line next to Yama and Slava or behind isles, until most of the flamebreathing stuff on the other side is dead and the reason your ship exists is gone too. Those people are also the same that sit in their Smolensk, Kita, etc and in chat call out their BBs camping behind them. Then a BB tries to do its job, obviously getting burned down and then they tell the BB that they should position properly and learn when to push. It really feels like those people here in the Netherlands that keep on driving on the left lane when rules say you have to drive on the most right lane possible, but then go blame other people that overtake them on the right side or sticking close to their bumper. Blaming everything but the obvious reason why stuff is happening. I don't mind you are completly ok with the HE spam meta hand happily join in it, but then don't look up weird when your slow BBs, with their bad agility, huge turning circles, huge hull, slow reloads and bad concealment rather stay away from the inferno. Same as DDs staying away from caps with the Radar Spam meta and the airplane meta. When something is called a meta, it means in essence there is too much of it and it is bad for the overall game.

is this a new trend when playing petro ?
FukushuNL replied to kapnobathrac's topic in General Discussion
I can't get why people don't understand this simple logic. If something is considered unwanted or rubs people the wrong way, and other people insist on doing/using it anyways, naturally it creates resistance. If I go walk into an Amsterdam neighbourhood with a Feyenoord (Rotterdam) football shirt, I am getting my [edited]kicked, literally. If I am going to say "F*** Allah" in a Mosque, I will be getting my [edited]kicked. If something in a game or real life is considered disrespectful (PR incident) or breaking the game (Petra, etc), and you say "F*** other people" and proceed to buy/play the ship anyways, you will face resistance. I am not saying "don't play the ship", I am just saying "stop being so oblivious to your actions". It's completely natural that when you actively take something broken just so you can win, people report you for being an assh...cheat and you get reported. Nobody likes a cheat. -
This is for the "why not use a consumable to get rid of rng mechanics" crowd: "With the next patch, WG is introducing: -perfect sigma flags: negating all bad sigma values. -0 dispersion flags: negates any dispersion. Perfect bomb drop flag: makes bombs drop with pinpoint accuracy. WG is aiming to produce flags flags to negate every RNG situation. This way, players can use currency to buy these flags to negate unwanted RNG in the game. WG also provides these flags for dubloons in the armory and for cash in the premium shop." Because if you can 100% negate 1 mechanic by stacking up flags for it, why not implement more flags that can completely negate many other mechanics? That flag and the mechanic it negates are so clearly designed as a money grab that I can't understand people actually defending its purpose. Even better! Let's have tsunami's in the game that can instantly sink your ship, but then also implement a flag that magically negates the effect. And let's implement that hitting a mountain makes the engines rupture and explode, instantly sink your ship, but....also implement a flag that 100% negates the effect! Or make you be able to beach on an island, disabling you from moving the rest of the match, but............also implement a flag that magically stops you from beaching 😎 Ok, what more random stuff can we invent that without any any player skill can instantly kick you out of the game, but what we can prevent completely by just using a consumable? Come on, guys and girls, we need more ideas for WG so they can implement more mechanics that have no effect on the game if you use a consumable, but that WG can profit from and can be defended by saying it also was a thing in WW1/2 while forgetting this game is getting more fantasy by the minute :)

Meh, scrape here, pluck there, dig until your nails bleed over there. Where is the time you could get everything by just playing? One thing WG helps me with these kinds of practises: I can't care anymore. Nowadays I can just let these events float by without it pegging my interests, letting me focus on just grinding lines and doing my daily three boxes before forgetting about the game for the rest of the day. WG is so great in setting up all kinds of monetising plans all over the place, I tire off them all and don't care about any of them anymore. That takes skill too, I must admit :) Edit: having to put up a whole booklet just to show how to get the free things shows already how much I can't be bothered with a single event.

Just like the ships that blip in and out of existance while in viewing distance even though they are not shooting. Makes it very irritating as they don't stay long enough vissible to aim at, but pop in view for no reason after your barrels are turned away, to stay vissible for long enough for your barrels to be almost back on target.

WG: With upcoming update v0.10.7 we will again have Commander Skills update - please enable visual clues when some specific skills are ON / OFF - it has already been 6+ months since first introduction of new skills and we still don't have that implemented
FukushuNL replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Also, WG, just reset all the Captain Skills instead of putting points in what you think is best.
