I'm very doubtful that it'sreally the case. Reload is supposed to be excellent, and if the Scharnhorst's stats are anything to go by, this ship will be able to be built as a sneaky-slippery battlecruiser that can actually beat peple into submission with her rapid-firing big guns while dodging the high-calibre cannon fire. That's not the question. This is a question of overmatch mechanics. Other BB AP can and will ofcourse sometime bounce off angled cruisers, but that'susually in the region of 12-14" (305-356mm) guns, where the standard 15-25mm of deck armour can deflect those shells. 380mm and up calibres overmatch the armour if they get to it and basically ignore the angle, getting you a citadel penetration from the direct front or rear. These 283mm guns will rarely if ever be capable of doing that. My bet, btw is on the T5. No reason, just a feeling.

Where is german BB ın publıc test?
piritskenyer replied to MarsAtlantis's topic in General Discussion
You guys whine like someone shot your dog. Or mother. (Same thing right?) Yes, the title wording was poor and clickbaity. No there was no mention in the PT notes that said "you can play DEBBs." Oh you didn't actually read the notes? Not our problem that you can't be bothered to properly inform yourself before downloading 10gigs of content, so please stop whining already. -
True, 31.5 was redline speed, but AFAIK, the MN did their trials with full ammunition load, a month worth of supplies and 2/3 fuel load (I could be wrong, I'm going off memory). That said, I do think Dunkerque should be able to do at least 30.5 kts, or if not Dunkerque, then Strasbourg.

Dunkerque: listed ingame speed: 29.5 kts real life speed: 31.5 kts. ...

Does radar, stack with target acquisition system modification 1
piritskenyer replied to plammbeach's topic in Cruisers
No, because radar is a consumable ability with fixed values, while ASM1 is a fixed enhacement module for your base aquisition. -

What Agent Orange in WoT allows you to do is see what is on the other side of the bush (I'm not talking about vehicles that fall under the spottin mechanics, but static objects), which in term facilitate aimin through the bush at a target spotted behind it. It basically facilitates veiwfinding, you can actually go for weakspots and you don't have to rely only on the enemy vehicle's outlines to judge their weakspots. IMO fog remover doesn't offer such advantage.

New Orleans - need advice with this ugly duckling
piritskenyer replied to GulvkluderGuld's topic in Cruisers
Problem hitting stuff at 12k? Are we talking about the same guns? The same ship? I dislike the ship so far, but not because of her guns. Far from it. The guns are the same as one tier lower, and maybe it's because I'm a Pensacan and had a lot of practice, but I find the guns to be quite confortable. They fly flat and true and when 5 of them hit under the funnels, the enemy ship suddely has a whole lot of world of pain to deal with. -

What was the purpose of that thingy that low-end BBs have at the rear?
piritskenyer replied to SmartassNoob's topic in Battleships
Yes, but ops rooms had different roles, and "integrated" ops rooms appeared towards the end of the war. Before that you could have one to three "main plots" with primary, secondary and reserve, and then you had the secondary battery control units, navigator's room (navigator's plotroom), radar room, radio&communications room, basically all your command and control special facilities were spread around the ship. True, they were usually distributed in a sensible manner (like close to the bridge and with easy access to it), with good communication between them, but that still increased reaction times. Integrated Ops rooms had navigation, operational control and local firecontrol all in one place which reduced communicational delays and enhanced the effectiveness. Adiionally flagships had and have larger Ops rooms where the flag officer and the ship captain can both operate and coordinate effectively. Now the skipper and the flag see the information arrive IRT, as well as having all of the other relevant information available to him in real time, and can react to new developments immediatly or with really short delay. -

The shell arcs are not as bad as you're trying to make it look, it's all we're trying to say. Plus if you have nothing comstructive to add to the poor guy's topic, why bother at all? -

NO fires the 853m/s AP shells, which is faster than IJN shells. Check it. It's the god-damned B-more and DM that fire superheavy shells at some 765m/s. -
That somehow looks easily forgable, but what do I know about forging fake documents? *whistles innocently*

piritskenyer replied to SmartassNoob's topic in Battleships
I'm prrrreeeetttttyyyy sure that the distinction between the Captain's bridge and the Admiral's bridge wasn't a matter of comfort but rather a difference in command focus. The Admiral in charge of a formation is usually not directly in charge of the ship that's flying his flag. The Captain's bridge is the primary command post for the ship's commander, while the Admiral's bridge is the primary command post of the formation's commander. Both places have now been superceeded by one single CIC or OpsRoom, much better protected than bridges. -
