    Thank you Mouse. I'll try Fubuki then first, and then see how I like her. Up till now I didn't feel the need to play IJN DD's (found them a bit boring tbh), but now the ships actually look more to my taste, and the people I play with praised them as well, so I'll definitely give them a shot. Also, forgot to say it specifically, but awesome review again

    I'm sorry but the game isn't exclusively about damage. While your point about doing damage is somewhat valid, there are a lot of instances where your contribution to the game is greater for example having done a measly 19k damage in an Atago and holding down a flank, than it would be doing 64k damage in another match in the same ship, because you couldn't turn that into an advantage. It depends on the tactical situation and what you can make of that situation. Cruisers are not fine as they are now, but as a cruiser main, I don't find them to be weak in general. Some of them are weak, yes, but not the class in general. They require a higher skill floor to play due to the lower margin for error (errors being generally more costly), but they can have really great impact on the game if played well. Seeing that you play KM CA/CL's, I can see how you'd dismiss HE as weak, but trust me, most CA/CL's can really put the hurt into DD's with HE. Last I checked the Königsberg could do a number on a minekaze with AP really really badly, and the fact that you have 8r/m guns just helps that, so if results are unsatisfactory with one ammo type, you can switch out and bombard them with the other. Also don't really expect any kind of meaningful armour from KM CA/CL's. They have none up until T8-9, while the USN starts getting real armour at T6 and T8 (Pepsi at T7 isn't very well armoured, but can kite quite well) and the IJN at T7. That's not armour to tank BB shells flat-on of course, but it's armour that allows you to get bounces and ricochets even from some BB shells.

    Oh look, this argument again. I just set the tasks and then play normally. I check the feasability of the tasks, so that I don't set things like 200 gun hits on T8-X while playing Atago or some such (where my max number of hits in a battle is 180-odd), but apart from that, nothing out of the ordinary.

    While not specified in the description of the skill, I do believe the skill only works with HE shells. Meaning that it doesn't matter how good the AP is, it will always have 0 firechance. That said. Working with the assumption that the RN CL's fire nothing but base-fused HE as SAP, even complete nonpenetrating hits (non-ricocheting ones) should do HE damage, even with firechance set to 0.even if that damage is substandard (as that would kind of make sense), this may be a nice perk for RN CL's.

    Problem is that it could lead to draws if timed matches are set, or drawn out matches if time limit is not set. That said, deathmatches could be fun if implemented correctly

    That's actually an interesting idea, although not entirely sure if worth the 3 points. I wonder, can you use Air supremacy on catapult fighters. That would be troll AF, even if it expended 2 charges of plane. Can someone try it with a CV cpt on an Indianapolis or some such?

    Based on the "unified" AP normalisation and bounce angle tables, the 100mm AP should have something like 8.5° normalisation and 60° (65°?) bounce angles, which would make it viable against DD's and CL's. HE does look iffy because of the low calibre, but 1/6th of 100 is still 16.7, which would mean the ship can hurt most DD's with HE... The AP may be all the more viable because of the phenomenal V0 of 1km/s...

    atago vs kutuzov

    A stealth specced Atago is basically the only ship in the game that can rightfully play the Jaws theme tune as a standard playing music. Need to put a BB down? Cue the Jaws theme song, get within 10km, drop torps, open the distance. Need to mess up a cruiser? Load AP, cue Jaws theme song, get within 10km, aim carefully, drop 10x4700 dmg AP into the enemy cruiser. You can also basically get away with firing nothing but HE, as a good salvo does 5-10k damage and with DE you have 20% firechance. (Actually, low HP - 2-7k HP - enemy ships are best put down with HE). As mentioned earlier, full stealth you'll be able to fire from stealth (some 500m stealth fire margin), which makes the ship very comfortable for burning down enemy BB's. Both ships are a pyromaniac's dream, only in different ways.
  16. That's actually a rather valid reason for the 50s and early 60s. The Chinese were basically building industry up from scratch, and a lot of the workmen employed didn't really keep to specs that much. (PS: suggest you look up "Chinese mistery pistols" on the Forgotten Weapons youtube channel, you'll see a lot of interesting stuff from the '20s all the way up to the early '50s, which is pretty representative of the state of the chinese industry in general for the time period - most of it is workshop made stuff ranging from outright useless to excellent, but the point is that it's incosistent as all hell, and that's pretty much how the output of the early chinese industrialisation was after the war.)

    No, what he's alluding to is the fact that the 3"/70 DP on Minotaur only serves as AA in game, meaning you have no secondary firepower. (TBH, at 90 r/m/g, the 3" would be insanely powerful for secondary artillery - but it'd still be nice to have them with reduced RoF)

    You're not very well-versed in the historical-technical department are you? Cruisers were classified based on main armament, not armour or displacement. That's how Cleveland became a CL and Aoba a CA, Despite Cleveland having a much more effective and strong armour layout. Or look at VMF CL's... Based on displacement they would be anything but light (looking at Kutuzov at 15kt displacement). PS: Aoba can bounce any cruiser gun it encounters when bow on or at a slight angle.
