My main issue with WTR is that it doesn't take into account nearly enough "passive" contribution like spotting and tanking (potential received damage). Also, there can be real discrepancies between kills and damage, which can also negatively affect WTR, for example you don't get any kills, but deal 150k+ damage, or oppositely you deal low overall damage, but manage to finish off 4 enemy low-HP ships. Also, nice necro.

Yeah, but then again, that is a problem that has nothing to do with the ship. There are people who are sole TX in freaking Yamatos camping the back, afraid of little old T8 cruisers. Or NoCal's refusing to go forward because of their 23km range in a T6-heavy T8 match. I'm retty sure that as more and more players will eventually get their hands on the ship this will just keep getting better and better.

I think Dunkerque wasn't buffed since she was released. She was buffed while being tested and then released with the better turret HP and bow armour. All the reviewers were caning the ship because she wasn'T the destroyer of worlds she was hoped to be, but she isn't bad, not by a damn sight.

Problem is that noone in their right mind would want to take on a Dunkerque with a Deutchland. Why? Because the former was designed to counter the latter. Dunkerque and Strasbourg were also in the works to be upgraded with surface search and early firecontrol radars, so your nightfighting scenario goes right out the window right there. What really saved AGS from the Dunkerque class was the Wehrmacht, not anything she had to offer. In game, between two equally matched players I'd say 8 times 10 Dunkerque would take it. -

Actually the very first game in which I played a torpship I asked in global chat how I could change the spread. The answer I got was "Oh boy..." (friendly), "press 3 again" (friendly) and "press torp key again" (enemy). Asking the stupid questions isn't always stupid.

Yeah, I left after that match too. The entire night was a disaster, so I just gave up. -
Overpenetration is when your shell hits armour so thin that the fuze fails to arm, and passes through doing minimal damage (10%). If you can overpen BB belt armour, it's not gonna be with CA AP of any nation, not even 220 mm Russian.
