Aigle marathon, how's your progress been so far?
piritskenyer replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
I'm not disputing that for a second, in fact that is why I said that she's a division ship. -

I would argue that this ship is a division ship. What I mean by that is that you need an ally you can directly and well coordinate with to get the best of the ship in terms of winrate. Capping? You need a DD divmate who you can draw fire from and support while they are capping. The one thing this ship excells at is raw damage output. During a drawn out game that can lead to solo wins, but I believe this ship functions more in the bounds of a light cruiser than the bounds of a DD. -
Battleships are reduced to targets
piritskenyer replied to Jack_the_Stripper's topic in General Discussion
No. It means that that is the amount of hp a BB on TX can, under ideal conditions, expend. Heals included. -
True, you can get away with not having supernintendo on Omaha, but like I said, it's a generalist build. If you get rid of IFHE (you should be able to pen 25mm of plating w/o it, right?) and SI, you have 7 points to play with, those can go into a number of different things, like last stand, survivability expert (1750 plus hp, I guess it's something)... I don't really see what other builds you can make. I could set up T5 trollbuilds, but those are a bit specialised...

Don't overextend. Buffing BB's at this point would be just ridiculous, as they are the best performing class at the moment. -

I think you can make a tank build for her with PT, EM, LS, SE, CE, BFT, IFHE, AR -
If I had a 19 point cpt for Omaha (or Marblehead) or indeed any light cruiser on the CL line, my build would be as follows: Priority Target (1)(1) Expert Marksman (2)(3) Demolition Expert (3)(6) Concealment Expert (4)(10) Inertia Fuzed High Explosive (4)(14) Superintendent (3)(17) Adrenaline Rush (2)(19) This is a pretty generalist 6" cruiser build, where DE is mostly used to offset the negative effects of IFHE. On an Omaha I think you can get away with not ising IFHE (that will make another 4 points available), as I think your HE pen is good enough to penetrate the 25mm plating of T7 BB's. If you indeed bypass IFHE, you can invest in a variety of skills on the tree.

Proposal for increasing quality of gameplay
piritskenyer replied to Boris_MNE's topic in General Discussion
Question: is section 3) and section 4) related? Ie: when rewards are given do you need 100 of all four achievements? I would suggest to have that reduced to 3 out of four, why? Because for example I can't play carriers to save my life. And for that very reason I don't, so that I don't handicap my teams. -
"Knock over the pieces, *edited* on the board and strut around like it's victorious" That's how the quote goes.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Why did you need radar to light him up? I mean, I know @T0byJug is amazing, but he was still in a Russian DD -
Toulon 1942. Check it out.

In Alsace? Hardly.

They don't surrender, they scuttle!

Oh no, I'm not suggesting that, I'm just emphasising it so that people don't get surprised.

Grinding - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
piritskenyer replied to dayofmone's topic in General Discussion
I have one (1) win. :| I got it by divisioning up with two Yubari's and baiting the enemy Langley's planes into attacking them. Harsh words were told to me. -
And because they are some of the best penetrating 15"-class guns ever built
-
Good enough for me :) It kind of reinforces what I said earlier about IJN AP not scaling up the tiers.

Fun fact: most ships I like to play and can make work, I can also brutalise when I play against them. Does that make them garbage? Nnnnnnnooooope. The FRBB line isn't garbage. Just because you are [I assume] a good player and can defeat most people coming up against you doesn't mean the ships they are in are crap. Go try them before you talk them down. 7 games in a Dunkek gives you just about as much authority and insight to talk about the FRBB's in general, as my 4 CV games give me to talk about CV's. -
@Mucker may confirm or deny this. Please?

Collecting defeats day after day isn't motivating anymore to keep playing this game !

If you are curious, go check out wows-numbers or warships.today, they both give an accurate record of progression over time. To answer your question: around the 1500-1700 game mark, when I was at Myoko. April 2016 I think? Anyway, that was before getting my first regular T8. I had the confidence to buy a T8 prem exactly because I was doing well enough in the game generally that I knew I wouldn't be wasting everyone's time (a kind of like you are doing). PS: Account sharing, last I checked, is against the rules, I wouldn't go brag about it if I were you. -
In my opinion (without doing the math, mind) it would reduce the margin just enough for it to be less weird. I can understand that spotting distance can be tied to ship size (or height, see prebuff Pepsi), but I would imagine that cruisers are easier to hide than a ship as big and obvious as, say a Montana or a GK. I'm not saying that any cruiser should always be stealthier than a BB (Moskva and HIV come to mind), but it would make more sense to me that the majority of cruisers would be.

I achieved a 61% winrate before buying my first premium ship. What was your argument again? Are you implying that the game is P2W? There is no amount of money that is going to help a clueless player git gud, as even the most OP ship is useless in the hands of a useless player. Your argument is invalid. -

Good work! You sometimes surprise me @wilkatis_LV, I must say. Perhaps this could be fixed by reversing the percentage of the bonus in the CE skill, to give 14% to cruisers and 12% to battleships. Would need some testing though.

Oh, I can see the SCRUBmonster has slithered on board
