Man, yesterday I had a game where I found myself 7.3klicks away from an Atlanta. I seriously thought I had lost the ship (Blyska) at that point, but then I started dodging and I kid you not, I was able to dodge most of his fire. of course I dropped smoke, torps and shot back, but still, it's insane. I'm much more wary of Mogamis than anything else in the Blyska. -

If I see any of you complain about how underpowered or whatever the Mogami is, honest to whatever imaginary friend you belive in, I'm going to go over to your house and shout at you so loud that your hair falls off. I played 3 games today. In two there were Mogamis. In two games, those Mogamis carried like it was nobody else's business, by simply burning down anyone at their leisure.if this ship was in fact so "bad" it wouldn't have been able for the player in my first game to dodge my torps I launched at 5 (!) klicks. So pretty please, with sugar on top, stop complaining about how bad it is, because from what I've seen, they are a bloody firestarer of a light cruiser, and I seriously hate firestarting ships.

Okay, here's my most fun game in her yet. At the end I admittedly ran away like a little *female canine*, but by the time I got to our cap to smack the Minekaze in it, we were down 9-6. By the time I smacked the Minekaze, There was a single Fuso with me, who got nuked not twenty seconds later. So I'm alone against 5, and I'm prettty much in a corner. How about I just shoot and torp all the brave souls? Two Cleveland entered, neither of them left. The rest of the enemy team didn't give me the time to smack them, even though at that point I felt like I could do it. Replay

AFT also considerably increases your invisifire margin which in itself is a countermeasure to enemy fire. -
Is there a point in firing AP at enemy DD's? The guns have a very nice, flat arc with nice velocity, so I was wondering, maybe firing AP could actually be viable against DD's, but I'm not sure. So far I have always fired HE at everything in hopes of setting them on fire, but hey, maybe DD on DD it could make sense. Thoughts?

Yes you can, here you go: Basic firing range:12.4km, AFT firing range: 14.88km Base detection range: 11.3km, CE detection range: 9.95km, (if no detection camo paint is applied) Guns firing add 4200 metres, total detection range when firing with CE skill: 14.15km. The difference is 0.73km, which is a very comfortable invisifire margin.

That was my reasoning against DE as well, I just wanted to see it confirmed by someone else. I guess I'll just unlock it another time.

I'm nearing the 4th point, what do you guys think I should go for? AFT or Demolition Expert? I have my sights set on AFT, who knows maybe it'd be better to go with DE... My final goal is to get AFT and Concealment Expert which would give the ship an invisifire margin...

Exu, Blyskawica is listed as T6 in the sheet, might want to put her to T7.

Question regarding Warspite: Does she get a Fire Control Modification 1 (now Artillery Plotting Room Modification 1) for extended range? EDIT: If someone had the time they could write all the mods down for the ships too...

So I was looking around in the tech tree and I noticed something peculiar Premium DD tag? No picture? Have to go and investigate! I click it, and... This doesn't look like a DD... She has no own module tree yet, it just loads in the modules of whatever ship you have currently selected (I tried), The artillery tab displays both 5" gun types (the forward pair are L/38 ones, the rear ones are L/25 ones) as secondary guns, but they are all DP guns at least. She has a bucketload of HP (50.9k!), but no armour and a blistering speed of 17 knots... Now the question: What is this armed merchantman doing in the game? Is she going to be the little christmas present or something? If so, then cool. Not very useful probably, but still cool.

I must really suck, I didn't manage to find anything when I tried EDIT: From what I could gather it was discovered in 0.5.0.2, so what is this still doing in the game if it's non-playable

I don't know what I favour yet. I put on steering gear mod 2 so far, because the rudder shift seemed to take aaaaages when I was dodging incoming fire. Other than that I have put on everything you recommended (I have put the propulsion mod 1 by myself after noticing an angering habit for the engines to flame out when the stern gets hit). Thanks! PS:

Bless me forum for I have sinned. I'm a relative DD noob. I don't have any high tier DD experience, but I went ahead and bought the Blyskawica, and I liked her. Two games so far, I think I did okay for myself in both, even though one was a loss. What gearing do you recommend for the ship, as she's currently unequiped.

Yeah, it's the only cruiser that has earned me DevStrikes with guns. Twice in one match no less.

I just got beaten in a one-on-one fight in my Myogi by a HE spamming Wyoming. I hit that f***ing bastard 12 times and I left him on less than 10k HP, while he hit me 6 times and set 5 fires in total. The first 2 of which I put out, and then he set me a triple fire. In short: he burned me down while I couldn'T sink him. I'm really [edited]tired of noobs getting away with noobness while I putr in hours upon hours to learn how and where to shoot and I'm rewarded with a big fat [edited]you.

I admit, it's not always a possibility, but you can still get away pretty well from fire that falls under the category of the IFA skill, as 6 seconds or more is actually plenty of time.

Guys, rate of fire in this case is not that much of an issue since RoF in game is a balancing factor, which means that if WG wants to give a ship a RoF of 16 r/m, they can do so, just as they can give the guns a RoF of 4r/m, if that's how they see fit to balance the ships. Remember: this is first and foremost an arcade-type game, and many decisions are made accordingly by developers.

Thing with the Kone is that her best protection against damage is to not get hit in the first place. When she does get hit, there is nothing standing between her and damage. Her armour is good against low calibre DD guns and when angled against CL guns at the very best. Anything bigger than 6" guns is going to penetrate and do damage from just about any angle concievable. Get the Incoming Fire Alert cpt skill and as soon as you see it flash, put the rudder out. Your damage recieved should decrease considerably.

Somewhat related to this, I have an idea. However before I can get it to work, I need some good sources on the AFCT, AFCC, HACS and the FKC. I may be wrong, but after reading the wiki articles on these and the ships that carried them (no, I don't regard wiki as a reliable source, but as a pretty good starting point), I think that the thing of RN CL's (and some DD's) may be somewhat dedicated AA and HE spam. Much in the way of the Atlanta, only in a regular tech tree way.
