I think the forum is in need of a better structured architecture for example the subforum Ships in the 'Game guides' though it is subdivided into ship classes it doesn't aid in any way to find subjects regarding specific nations ships and that subforum would be better structured if subdivided like this: Game guides>Ships>Class>General class subjects and Game guides>Ships>Class>Nation so that if a forum user wants to look for a Nürnberg guide he or she will go to Game guides>Ships>Cruiser>Germany and then search for anything Nürnberg related there. The same also apllies to the Game Discussion>Gameplay which could be subdivided into Game Mechanics discussion, Balance discussion, 'How to' guides, General discussion etc. etc. for example.

Try using these search words: IJN; USN; RN; KM; BB; CV; CA; DD; USN CL; new map - too short search string and quite a lot of topics can not be searched properly because they have two or three letter words in their subject titles meaning that the user will still have to trawl through the subforum he or she thinks the subject is placed in... -

The only thing that can make cruisers play aggressive and become viable for the masses is to impose a 3 ship hardcap on capital ships so a maximum of 3 BBs or any combination of BBs and CVs - there is no other way IMO as cruisers are simply not survivable enough due to too high hit rates from BBs. -

I know that it might seem slightly masochistic but I am actually really looking forward to the release of the Royal Navy CL tree not because I think that they will bring some gamechanging playstyle or mechanics or because it is the Royal Navy but primarily because I love how they look and I enjoy the challenge of playing cruisers though I do suspect, based on my ingame experience facing enemy RN CLs, that they will eat citadels like a pro Anyway I hope they will be as pleasent to play as they look -

Of course, but it is a modified version of Wawan25's excellent Dunkerque custom camouflages.xml file so you will need his Dunkerque skin as well: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/61135-mod-05121-dunkerque-historical-skin/ I made the premium camo's for the Prinz Eugen, Bismarck and Tirpitz lighter in colour and if you don't like them just replace their camo values with the ones from Wawan25's original camouflages.xml file There are two versions of camouflages; one where the first two types of camo have a 2 colour scheme and a second where all camos are monochrome bar the special event camos. The first camouflages.xml file: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AiKIzUtDO9kChjO0zoeUaX96Rj-x The second all monochrome camouflages_allmonochrome.xml file: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AiKIzUtDO9kChjKeWLJYYRXNzX-A don't forget to rename the file to camouflages.xml for it to work. I haven't replaced the event special camos with monochrome but that is easily done by copy pasting the ".. content/gameplay/common/camouflage/textures/Dazzle_tile_camo_03.dds</Tile> .." values of every nation that is modified over the nation specific special event camos. Note! Only the the Royal Navy and Commonwealth are not modified. NB! If anyone want to tinker with the colours the values comes in the following order: Red; Green; Blue and Brightness so if you for example want a more blueish tone you set the value for blue higher than the others.

BB players wont rush the premium store to buy Belfast, they will continue playing in the only ship class that isn't insta deleted when the player makes a mistake which will happen to the Belfast even if OP compared to other CLs. It is a slow cruiser and can't effectively outrun fast battleships if caught in the open or sink them with torps in knife fight distances. This ship will not be noob friendly and will only work for connaiseurs and good players the average player will not be able to earn much credit in it and will quickly run back to Shinyhorse, Torpitz or anything else of the noob friendly ships.- 175 replies

If you remove one of the things that makes this ship viable it will become UP because of the nearly 50% BB player base and WG will never be able to sell the ship to the average scrub player base if it gets insta-deleted by BBs in every game when spotted. The current meta does not allow for CLs to thrive and currently there are only two ways to make them viable; either buff their abilities or place a hardcap on BBs and the latter WG will never do as they make too much money on players spending money on gold, flags, premium time and XP/credit booster flags and camos to place a hardcap on BBs so there is only buffing CLs left. Anyway even if OP the HMS Belfast will never have the impact on the game as the numbers of BBs have so its total impact on the game will be neglible compared to BBs = no problem for the game whatsoever.- 175 replies

This proves what? He is in a division with a DD alternating smoke so it doesn't show what the ship is capable of in solo player mode which is how the vast majority of players play this game and also Flamu is OP and not representative of the average player population which will never be able to exploit the Belfast's strong sides.- 175 replies

No, you are not the only person dissatisifed with the horrible non gold camo in fact I have modified the camouflages.xml file to give most nations a monotone nation specific grey colour so at least to resemble real naval ship camoflages. I don't understand why realistic camouflages, first in WoT and now, in WoWS are so readily discarded for fantasy camos when they spend so much time and effort to make beautiful 3D models

Those BB slug fests are a ton of fun; no need to worry about anything other than positioning the hull and careful aiming and because of good armour a good player can effectively counter the fire of two to three ships if angled properly - best of no one complaining about DDs and torps, what is not to like about that? -
He is really missing a lot in this game, I must say I don't understand why anyone would only ever play just one tank/ship and become super elite expert in it - I mean at some point there can't be any challenge or variation in the game experience though I must add that the Gremy is the ship to get such a ridiculus solo WR in

You are the problem by acting on your emotions by teamkilling another player whose political views you disagree so much with you believe yourself to be entitled to punish him for. Also your reaction is anti democratic in nature as you showed zero tolerance for differing political views or allegiances. You neither have the right nor obligation to act disruptive and destructive in order to establish your political view and allegiance upon others by force out of narcissistic impulse and dellusions of grandeur, you acted like a religious or political fanatic would when facing differing opinions and ideologies and there is no difference in the motivation for your actions and those of IS terrorist as it all boils down to impose your political ideology or view upon others by force. Today I had one of the best game experiences playing in a cruiser in WoWS ever; I was playing in the Des Moines on Islands of Ice map domination mode with only 2 BBs per team, that's right only TWO BBs per team! Teams: This matchmaking gem really made the CAs shine by allowing them to perform their intended role; huting DDs and engaging enemy cruisers and I have never had such a pleasurable experience in a high tier CA game where I did not constantly having to worry about getting insta deleted by BBs lol-penning me but instead I could focus on hunting DDs and CAs and the single Tirpitz BB I engaged with AP with him showing his full broadside; must say that Des Moines AP work wonders from below 8km range This matchmaking are the kind that are the only current effective way to make CAs/CLs relevant and enjoyable to play in the game again and a capital ship cap of 3-4, I think, is the optimal solution to make WoWS gameplay balanced and fun for everybody. Battle result: A Des Moines unbridled and unhindered by battleships is so fun to play I must say but not when half the teams are battleships just waiting for you to show broadside to them.. Save the cruisers! - Place a cap on a capital ships. -

Module damage saturation should be replaced with damage overflow mechanics so that when a module has lost all its hitpoints any further damage will be transferred to the neighbouring sections instead. -

The crew skill/perk system in WoT is superior to that of WoWS in every respect because it offers greater diversity while also far being cheaper in both credits and real money though for the latter it is only true if the player want to respec, while keeping all crew XP, one or two crew members or if there are a discount on respeccing crew skills/perks. However WoWS do not, like WoT does, have a damage model for the crew which in WoT is one of the core mechanics in that game as losing one or more crew members can mean that the tank becomes s5o combat ineffecient that in all practicallty it has been killed. Of course a similar crew damage model could be introduced in WoWS which will lead to increased complexity of the game and the question is if a crew damage model is introduced if that would require a more complex module damage model as well? While I would love more complexity in WoWS we all know that the vast majority will find it too complex and wont be able to adapt to anything more complex than point and click so it will probably never happen -
The game can't afford to lose players.
