I do.. I love those ships, but mostly because I prefer the world war one setting they represent - especially after reading a book on the battle of the Moon sound in the Baltic sea in 1917 between the Kaiserlicher Marine and Imperial Russian Navy, it was very informative on how naval warfare of that time was conducted and how effecient and devastating warships, even the small DDs, really are when unleashed - BTW the russians had muliple land batteries the largest being of 12 inch calibre just WoWS has in some of the high tier maps.

Is the Belfast REALLY overpowered?

It is not just you hitting the '3' key and then expecting there to be torpedos - even did a torpedorun on a BB, boy was I surprised when nothing happened (had just played in the Leander the game before and used that ships torps) fortunately I was able to get of some salvos while doing a 16 point turn(180 degrees) and running to cover behind an island and a smokecloud then having to comsume the entirety of that day's ration of rum in order to calm my nerves. -

Too many 'safe spacers' in this world. -
Leave the RN alone. If you don't like it go back to the IJN or USN

I'm against banning people for any kind of reason because we have to have entertainment and usually the best entertainment comes from the sort of people that get banned.. -

No. -
The russian DDs from tier 2 to 4 are all great ships when using AFT for the captain and quite good at sealclubbing.

Purely from a logical point of view RN CLs should have citadels as CAs have because they are large ships with huge volumes of machinery, magazines and other important stuff needed to make the ships combat machines, however as their survivability is effectively lower than DDs when hit by heavy calibre AP there is a need for increased survivability in order for the ships to be viable for all skill levels of players and not just the extremely good ones. I can see two ways, but there are undoubtedly quite a few other ways I am sure, to increase the survivability of the RN Cls and that is to either: a) place a hardcap on capital ships to max 3 BBs or any combination of 3 Bs and CVs or b) increase the range by 20-25% and the muzzle velocity of the 152mm guns to about 900m/s while increasing the dispersion by 10-15% but also make the AP* work as a HE shell with low area of effect and low probability of fire chance while decreasing the penetration a bit which would change the way the line is played to a jack of all trades where it will be extremely strong in the short range and adequately effective at medium to long ranges but not as strong as the other nations due to larger dispersion and less penetrating power. The reason for this is to have the players use long range range fire to harass the larger ships by chipping away their HPs through a combination of low probability of fire, HE area of effect damage and damage from penetrating, if possible, and non penetrating hits which would be limited in numbers due to increased dispersion then work their way to closer and closer distances as the battle progress as the primary means of increasing the survivability. * Actually the british 152mm AP shell for the 152mm guns was in fact a Common Pointed Ballistic Capped(CPBC)/Semi Armour Piercing(SAP) type shell and not a pure AP shell with about twice the mount of explosive compared to a standard AP shell @1,7kg of high explosive compared to the typical 0.5-1kg explosive weight for a 6" AP shell and about 4.5-6 kg explosive weight for 6" HE shells making it an in between all rounder type of ammunition that had less penetrative power than a AP round but twice the destructive force and more penetrative power than a HE shell but only a third to a half of the destructive force of that type making it a shell type that would be a strong choice for engaging lightly to medium armoured threats at all combat ranges as those targets that could not be directly penetrated and destroyed by shells detonating inside the target could be set on fire and having the rangefinders, radars, gunnery directors, bridge personel and lightly armoured turrets knocked out by explosive force and steel splinters from the shell casing.

They will at some point as they do in WoT.

In effect you made a line of ships that will only appeal to a select few superunicums which will be the only ones being able to get decent battles in those 'certain death zero carry ability tincans' - I must say that I find that train of reasoning extremely counter productive and illogical for a big company that makes money from masses by releasing a much anticipated line of ships that the vast majority of players will never find any pleassure in playing but only frustration and anger.

Sorry out of +1s

^this.
-
On the bright side; the glorious Mikasa have a niche now
-
Then why did you make them so hard to play when that prevents the vast majority of the playerbase from playing and enjoying that line of ships?
-
Need down vote button for that - seriously are we talking about the same ships and game because the british cruisers are utter rubbish that have zero ability to carry and is completely dependant on the team to provide plenty of support and for the enemy to make serious mistakes? Really really bad decision to make the british ships with such a high skill floor as that gives those ships a very uncomfortable and frustrating playstyle for everyone playing them and scares away the new players that had waited to play WoWS when the first british line was released.

Nice list however depressing to behold.

Who did the Chinese defeat other than the Vietnamese? -
Nah, the bad british lines have happened too many time in both WoT and now WoWS for it to be random or caused by incompetence - I can't see it should be anything but ill will towards the british due to the historical rivalry and bad relations which the russians/soviets eventually lost and now the british are being ridiculed and punished in russian/soviet games.

You don't hate people you've defeated - you hate those you lost to; it is called 'revanchism' and the former USSR is clearly full of it and it manifests itself in WoT and WoWS. -
More than I care to spend as this line is a spit in the face.

Stop trolling.

Just the usual anti british bias, nothing to see here citizen - move along.

If it had been no one would be playing the line now.

The Belfast, and a look at the (now)released Brits
G01ngToxicCommand0 replied to Hayashio's topic in Cruisers
As I stated in another cruiser topic this is bad for the game because it will be a hard and gimmicky line which will only be fun to play if you are a good player that likes the challenge of 'unique' gameplay and gimped/broken features that require the enemy to make mistakes by showing broadsides. This is not a line for beginners or bad players as the skill floor is way too high for them and given that the Royal Navy was at the time the largest then later in WW2 the second largest navy in the world and known well in advance of the line's release to be the most anticipated nation since before the launch of the game this is very bad for the game. It is all mighty fine with single launch torps, repair party and smoke but without the HE to burn BBs and wreck DDs engines the line will never be comfortable nor fun to play, OK you will have some fun games with great damage but overall you wil just have unpleasant and stressfull games because you have no real answer to BBs and DDs and any angled ships Once again Wargaming ruins the british by making their techtree a line for a select few that enjoys playing as the underdog with gimmicky, gimped and/or broken mechanics. The line needs to be rebalanced ASAP with a reintroduction of HE and perhaps remove smoke in return? Also why in the name of all that is holy do Wargaming release the premium cruiser Belfast with HE thus requiering a seperate captain that can use Demolition Expert as that skill is utterly useless for the line ships?? -

Manners. -
This ship is extremely bad for beginners thus it is bad for the game - the world's largest navy at that time should be not be a line for hardened veterans that enjoy the challenge of 'unique' play styles it should be readily accessible to all players with similar playstyle of the other nations in the game and the single launch torp launch and repair party is 'unique' enough - in short the line needs HE.
