It never ceases to amaze me how bad at this game most BB players are and I can't find any logical explantion other than the class, due to its forgiving gameplay, attracts the bad and the stupid players that can't perform with any kind of positive effect on the outcome of the battles they are in, because they think, that when playing in a BB, they can beat all others with ease. But there must be other reasons as well since most of them either solo yolo or sits at maximum range sniping at enemies they can't hit thus losing the battle for their teams time after time after time - anyone has a better explanation?

The best gameplay tend to be at low to medium tiers where the ships has low(ish) range thus forcing players to brawl. -

Punctuation fixed, I hope, and thank you for noticing, I clearly didn't when I wrote that early this morning tired and mad after 4 straight losses due to bad BB players. The reason as to why I believe that the battleship is the most forgiving class in the game, is because you can make more bad decisions in it and still come out alive than you can in all other classes. The reason I think that the majority of BB players are dumb or stupid is because the basic conditions, and mechanics, for winning battles, are so simple and clear that a person that is not able to convert that simple and easy to grasp knowledge, is simply not using the inside of their brain. In WoT there are players that farm WN8, or in this game, farm damage to give the community, and themselves, an impression that they are good players based on the flawed logic: High damage per battle = great player. However; only the player's winrate really provides a real correlation to that player's personal skill and ability from the obvious logic; that if a player wins a lot then that player understands and exploits the game's mechanics for winning battles, either through personal carry abililty or by acting as a force multiplier that makes the enemy team waste its resources or by drawing away their attention from objectives and key map areas while the player's team wins the battle. The impression I have of most battleship players is that most of them just want to farm damage rather then play the objectives/play to win by supporting their team where it is needed, and they do so in every of their battles simply because they can not intellectually grasp that their actions are counter productive to both their team but also to themselves. I have time after time tried to explain to the kind of BB players that camps at maximum range, that their playstyle only helps the enemy team and that they need to use their enormous hitpoint pool to the team's advantage so that the cruisers and destroyers can fulfill their tasks of objective control and domination. But no, most BB players, not all obviously but the majority, simply is not intellectually capable of understanding that their selfish playstyle of failing at farming damage at the maximum range of their guns, is actually detrimental to their own personal objetective of farming damage to use as a meassure of their skill, which is why I believe most BB players to be too bad or too stupid to actually be playing that exact class of ship. So my experience with dealing with the bad performing BB players is that, no matter what you say or do, or how you do that, to make them play more beneficial to the team, you can not get them to stop or change their selfish playstyle that causes their teams to lose, consequently there is no point in even trying as the only recourse you are left with is to fight even harder and perhaps tell them off in the chat if you are so inclined. In short: the bad BB players causes their teams to lose because they wont risk their ships by giving the close support that the cruisers and destroyers need when contending the objectives, and a BB player that do not understand why that support is critical to winning have to be lacking in the mental department, as the basic mechanics for winning battles in this game are so basic and easy to understand that a player have to be drunk or stupid not to be able to do so. -

The game is pretty bad at the moment filled with obvious bots and ultrabad scum players that only play when there are 200% XP events. Those kind of game experiences completely ruins the fun and the desire to play this game. -
Leander is great just wait till you get to the Fiji, it is like it is detached from the ordinary gameplay it is that good.

+1, I agree the only way to have the bad BB players tank damage and lead attacks for their team is to force them and your idea would be a strong candidate for doing that IMO. -
The 50% BB teams are ruining the game and there need to be a hardcap for BBs at max 3 per battle for the game to be balanced especially because BBs appeal to the very worst of the playerbase that ofcourse don't know how to play BBs properly thus losing game after game for their teams. If BB players want to fight other BBs then make a BB only 'Battle of the Line' mode for them so we can have battles where are a max of 2-3 BBs per team and the other all BB mode.

I am afraid that your perception is skewed form the fact that you have only played 35% of your battles solo with the rest in division and as we know when in division damage, kills, survival and winrate are much higher than which is possible when playing solo because a divsion that communicates and coordinates their actions are much more effective than the same number of solo players ever will be as can be seen from your solo vs. division stats. You simply don't experience the game the same way players like me that primarily play the game solo do thus you don't experience the weaknesses and plight of cruisers in a BB heavy game meta which is the current situation. I'm not saying your argument doesn't have valid points because the cruisers are ok when performing in games where there are a low number of BBs on each team but they simply can't perform their intended role as a counter to destroyers in battles with 5-6 battleships which are game designwise the counter to cruisers by a factor of at least two to one with regards to hitpoints and firepower. Cruiserplay in a good division is simply not the same experience as when playing cruisers solo thus the experiences from division can not be transferred to the experience that solo players have. -

BBs are only OP because there are too many of them and you could at least explain why this wouldn't work. And if some BB players only play them to make easy kills by preying on cruisers rather than taking on their BB counterparts - well I wont be sorry to see the players with that attitude leave the game. -

It wont make the waiting time longer as the surplus BBs will be placed in BBs only battles which I stated in the OP. -

Well the US Navy call cruiser sized warships for destroyers and destroyer sized ships for frigates... Would be nice to see the Bundesmarine name their ships Derfflinger, Von der Tann, Seydlitz, Moltke, Goeben or Scheer etc. etc. though I don't see anything wrong with having a connection to the past in the ships that are made to protect a country barring naming them after nazis obviously.

Weymouth is utter garbage, shell arcs that hit the moon, bad ROF and dispersion like a battleship and zero torpedos; I don't know what WG was thinking but having a maximum of five 152mm to a broadside and then give them bad reload time, shell arcs, time of flight and dispersion is just mindbogglingly stupid and having a ship whose guns are only semi effective at close range is one of the worst ideas ever to come from Wargaming as that requires the player to be very proficient at the game thus making it a very bad ship for new players or those of low skill. If at least it could have had HE shells to compensate for the lackluster effect of the AP shells but no... Verdict: Redo and rebalance the ship ASAP

Aye I agree but WG should have placed the comsumables of the Belfast and that of the line ships in the same order as it is easy to activate the wrong consumable when switching between a line cruiser and Belfast. My suggestion for the order of consumables would be; Damage Control Party 'R', Hydro Acoustic Sonar 'T', Smoke 'Y' and Repair Party/Radar 'U' so that when pushing 'T' it will always be HAC - any chance that you might send this up the chain of command? Thx in advance
