You have played mostly cruisers so i would advice you to pick the Scharnhorst as that has a playstyle that is more akin to a cruisers than a battleship. Arizona on the other hand, while a good battleship, requires a completely different approach to playstyle and planning than the Scharnhorst.

I'll set up a Team Speak server during this week and I wont kick players for not having it installed but they can't participate in clan wars, as live communication is paramount there, but for division play division chat is usually good enough due to the slow pace of the game. Obviously as the clan is not large enough for clan wars nor do we have an overview whether or not it is something the members want to participate in I am not presently planning to make the use of Team Speak mandatory. -

How can we prevent this from happening almost every game?

You can't fight stupid and there simply is possible way to make bad players do the right thing for their team or at least make them follow the order from good players. The only way to prevent batles like this one to ever happen is to place good player only on teams with good player and vice versa for the bad ones, and then let it be random whether or not the team draws good or bad teams as their enemies. -

Thx RDF/RL skill, for the Kraken - I couldn't have done it without you This skill is so broken that even I feel dirty using it on my 15 captain skill point Leander. Its power when used in conjunction with informing the team the direction to nearest unspotted enemy is devastating for enemy DDs and cruisers with low detection ranges, especially when two or more players coordinate their RDF/RL skills to triangulate the closest enemy - WP Wargaming, WP...

One of the problems with the damage mechanics of WoWS is that the crew can not be killed or injured so it is not possible to use even relatively low caliber HE shells such as 100mm to kill personel on the bridge, direction finders or gunnery directors as often happened in real life. Even the heavily armoured conning tower was not immune to splinters entering and killing or injuring personel inside as they had unprotected vision slits that allowed for shell or bomb splinters to enter through those. Not to mention that the toxic gasses from shell detonations could and did kill sailors when the gasses entered the internals of a ship, either because the shell detonated inside or the gasses entered from the outside into the ship. -
Players tend to vote with their feet - if the player community does not like the RDF they will stop playing, simple as that.

WoWS game engine do not support features like storm, heavy seas etc. etc. like 'Naval Action' does as shown in this video: which is the primary reason why WoWS is not a true naval warfare game but more or less World of Tanks game on a flat map with ships skins albeit with different ballistic and damage models.Now if WoWS used the Naval Action engine with modern ships, the word 'epic' comes to mind. -

How would you "sell" this game to a new player?

To be honest I find it harder and harder to 'sell' WoWS to anyone due to the deteriorating quality of the already low skill community and certain game mechanics that persists that prevents WoWS from being categorised as a naval warfare game as WoWS is basically nothing more than WoT on a flat board reskinned with ship models with different ballistic and damage mechanics. Still fun from time to time but the frustrations experienced in WoT have already shown themselves in WoWS regrettably. No real point in grinding any line to tier 10 other than for the sake of collecting really due to lack of endgame material and low quality of the average player who generally are a hindrance to me having a good gamig experience - selfish point of view sure, but that doesn't make it less true that the majority of players are so bad at this game that everyone would be better off if they played non multiplayer games. -
