I would even say, that this is something like Special mode PvP Operation. Defo not Ranked, as other mentioned, just if you are interested, you can try this new special mode, where basically apart from destroying enemy fleet you have also another task to defend/destroy the convoy of transport ships.

Usually those special modes are popular in the beginning of the update and after that the popularity fade down. While Aircraft Bureaus event is the same one as was the Battle of Beasts and all you need to do is to sign up and fulfill the missions. So in design it is completely different event than Convoy, which is a special mode. Also the fact, that Convoy last only for two weeks doesn't mean, that it will never return back.

Ono to hodně bude záležet na spolupráci v rámci týmu. Na PT jsem hrál s kolegou v divizi a vyhrávali jsme jak na útočné, tak na obranné straně. Pravda, obránci kolikrát nevěděli, co mají dělat a šli na pozice, jak normálně, nehledě na konvoj.. a tak stačilo jen si počkat na transportní lodě a hotovo. Jako obránce taky to šlo, tedy pokud ti tam ty lodě najíždějí očekávaným koridorem. Ohledně lodí, skoro must-have budou sekundárkové lodě jako Bismarck, Tirpitz, Massa

Možná jo, nicméně to by vyžadovalo vytáhnout tyto data přes BI, což jednak trvá a také je potřeba k tomu dobrý důvod, víc než jen, že ze zajímavosti právě. Ale zkusím se zeptat kolegů z Petrohradu zda třeba něco takového už nemají, zda by nebylo něco, co by se dalo zveřejnit.

I can confirm, what @Spartan_Renegade quoted here. So you need either 5 teir X ships or the second option "Earn Research Point in some way", which means mostly, if you finish dockyard with doubloons in advance and you would get another Shipbuilding Phase from Directives (when research points are listed as a reward).
