We could, Missouri was never sold only for ingame currency before, therefore her stats could have been changed.

Still Hyuga was the only one of those ships released with this note and honestly, Hyuga was strong and overperforming.

But this airstrike shouldn't give you also tactical advantage to basically being able to damage enemy while being on the opposite side of a big island.

Did you check the mission section? Because it is dropping the mission to get those SCs, not directly dropping a SC.

Not current, but as annnounced, in the next one you can expect Repulse as a intermediate reward. Also in past we had Yahagi or Graf Spee f.e.

As menitoned here, currently there was no FreeXP announced, but maybe it will be some in future. So I can't confirm arrival of next Free XP ship, neither I can completely deny that.

This one was suggested before, but we decided not to allow this option to turn the direction, because it could be too effective and strong against those ships using islands as the cover. Though you can still technically try to hit them also now with the airstrike, but this option would absolutely mitigate the option to get to any cover around islands. That would even give Dutch cruisers to use islands as an advantage.
