    oh, ignore that part of my post then, that was how the Damage was explained to me working Even still a 12 v 12 would make the battles bigger, and they could boost the XP income to equalise the change, or give us the option to gain flags you can only use in PVE ( perhaps a 5% xp / silver boost that locks the ship into PVE mode, then the PVE crowd get a small bonus, and the ships are locked out from PVP, meaning fewer players 'ruining' pvp. Both sides of the coin win )

    unfortunately, your calls for improved PVE will fall mostly on deaf ears here. Most people who frequent the forums are PVP only players who enjoy feeling morally superior over people playing a different gamemode, to the point where bashing the PVE crowd is something undertaken pretty regularly. I think this is in large part to an unfair assumption that people use PVE to get to high teirs, then play PVP. WOT has a very similar issue of clueless numpties in high teir tanks ( but of course all those people ebay'd their accounts or botted ) there are dozens of simple things WG could do for PVE, a simple increase to 15v15 would be a very welcome change and require very little work, it would also boost income for the PVE players as there would be more damage to go around, and more of the bonus XP you get when an ally damages an enemy ship. Or indroduction of PVE only flags etc Unfortunately i believe the only solution for 'pve scrubs ruining pvp cry cry cry' mentality would be separating the game into PVE / PVP clients, but that would cause PVP work to be shifted into the split, and the PVP crowd would complain so WG really cannot win... leaving PVE as a gamemode with so much wasted potential. The fact of the recent halloween event is a ray of hope however for more Gamemodes and improvements to the PVE side of this game

    so my and my girlfriend have been playing recently and when we get this map, our ships spawn in WAY to close to each other When the game starts we both take damage and get a team-damage warning

    so i was playing some WOWS with the GF and i assume WOWS also knew we were together because of it spawning us almost 'inside' each other and everything was ok until the match started, she was bumped out of the way, we both took damage and received a warning for teamdamage perhaps the spawning mechanic on this map needs a look ? ( also YES this is in Co-op battle )

    An interesting one...

    so i was playing a game a while ago, and in the middle of a pretty crushing defeat our carrier decided he didnt want to fight on, he did the usual rage in chat while putting his torp bombers up then torpedo'd HIMSELF and then sank... i was stunned, i had seen it multiple times in World Of Tanks where artillery drown themselves but never in WOWS. Fast forward a few weeks and i was discussing it with a couple of friends over teamspeak about it and we couldnt figure out a number of questions Does it count as 'Team' Damage as you are hitting yourself ? ( i dont think Artillery splashing themselves by shooting a building are classed as teamkilling ) If the person doing it was purple. Now the damage gets 'reflected' back onto the attacker, how would that work if you are teamkilling yourself ? would the planes take the damage or the carrier itself ?

    i defo think it needs more looking into, as i have witnessed zero damage pens on ships with 100% hp one theory a friend floated is that you penetrated something like the deck( so you get a penetration ribbon ) but then bounce off something else like the internal module inside the ship, the first shot in the OP could well be a pen of the deck (hence the pen ribbon), then a 'autobounce' off the inside of the belt armour. The second shot could be a deck pen, but auto-bounce angle off the interior engine module. If the game then equates a bounce to Zero damage, it could well account for many zero damage pens that we see he theorises that the damage stacks per module that the shell passes through as you do, but that any 'autobounce' basically means regardless of what the shell did during its flight the shell does zero damage an example hit superstructure (overpen) + deck penetration ( regular pen damage) would equal a high damage 'overpen' givern that the overpen was the first ribbon to be awarded Deck penetration ( regular pen damage ) + autobounce ( aka multiply by zero ) = zero damage pen ( due to 'pen' being the first ribbon as opposed to bounce ) But without access to the game code ( and we are unlikely to ever get that ) without a MASSIVE amount of testing, all we can do is make an educated guess
  7. +1 Despite me being a co-op player, i think that for new players Co-op would be a FAR better playground. Fewer Targets, generally fewer people raging at new players etc Also they might enjoy that the AI doesnt spend half the game snuggling up with the map boarder, trying to max range snipe with BB's also with the matches being faster paced ( as the AI charges usually ) the games will be faster, and likely appeal to a larger playerbase...

    How to spot someone Botting.

    to the 'Gamers' Bots do make very little sense, we enjoy playing. But the 2 main reasons for botting programs to exist are: A) Noobs Noobs who dont like the grind, who feel if they play a teirX ship they will have Uberskillz and pwn everyone they come across in their Uber top teir ship, often they will play a few games, decide they like the game and purchase a teir8 premium ship and proceed to suck in it, blame their Lack of skill on facing TeirX's with no clue how to play, decide they want a Teir X so THEY can pwn and purchase bot program B) Sellers people who dont even want to play this game, but see an opportunity to see TeirX accounts to the users who fall into the first Category, they are happy to leave the game Botting for along time,. Once the desired level is reached, the seller will then sell the account often to a scrub from Category one C) frustrated players Players who for whatever reason does not like a particular ship, Most lines have a ship that is considered 'Weak' alot of the time this is due to a ship not fitting into the line ( like the Phoenix, a MASSIVE departure from the St Louis ) and players want to skip the ship entirely and this applies to MOST games that require grinding out XP. and remember the bots might only get 50XP per battle, and lose all the time, But as Jingles once said, ''Lose enough battles and you WILL get to teir 10'', and that tiny amount of XP will simply be multiplied over a large enough number of games to get somewhere. And since WG doesnt tell us if the Bots are ever caught / banned ( the only person i know to get banned was running a BLOG about his botting, to see how long it would take WG to ban him, and that was WOT ) some people think they can just get away with botting, i dont know if players here have been banned... but i do hope so

    Matchmaker is unplayable

    yup, 5 battles today in the Kirov, and all 4 of the 5 were HEAVY teir 7 matches, including 2 where i was the ONLY non tier 7 in the match, and being the Citadel pinata that it is, just gets farmed for damage by Nagato's and Colorados ( and anything else that farts in my general direction ) i used to enjoy +/- 2 but since the last MM tweak, tier 5 is a BAD teir to play.
  10. +1, if they did that they could also increase the number of ships per game up to PVP levels, so More Credits / XP to go around ( it means better players will profit anyway ) but i would also love to see the flags introduced into PVE, Or even PVE specific flags... There is just So much they could do with PVE mode. it has such potential but it remains ignored by the Devs, and ridiculed the PVP only crowd

    Excuse me for not reading the whole thread and all associated links, but module HP depletion seems dubious when it can still happen on a full HP ship ( that should in theory have its modules at 100% ). Does that mean you can deplete the HP of a module without doing any damage to the ship ?

    Are you enjoying your tier 6s post 5.9?

    ive seen a few people complain about this, and i wonder how much of an issue it really is... i think we should wait a week or so, then check the stats of teir 5 / 6 and 7 ships post patch, if what everyone is saying is true then the avg damage and survival rate should drop a fair way as they are farmed for easy damage by the teir 7's and the teir7's stats should rise as they farm ships that dont have the range to respond ( looking specifically at the New Mexico / Warspite ) That being said i have noticed more teir7 battles in my Kirov, and quite a few teir 7/8 battles in my Cleveland compared to what im used to

    Suggestion: Karma v2.0

    i think this would be a bad idea... not in principle, but its FAR to easy to abuse when combined with stat-showing mods oooooh a player with 61% win ratio... ill give him Karma to bolster my chances to play on his team in the future EEEEEWWWW a player with 40% win ratio, i dont want to play with a scrub like that, ill -1 to him to have a better chance to avoid him in the future after a few months of that, you will basically get unicrums vs scrubs, ( and granted that is what a lot of unicrums want, but i cant imagine it would be to fun for the scrubs who will abandon the game )

    just had a pair of games where i got no dmg 'pens' both in my New Mexico the first was a max range salvo on a Kirov, he was Bow onto me and i had nothing else better to shoot at, nailed him on the foredeck and the superstructure, both registered as pens but did zero damage. Nothing special, but my ping and FPS remained constant the second was a game changing shot into the side of a Mogami as he came round an island in front of me on 2.5k~ HP, i figured i would pretty much have the slab side of his ship at point blank range and would be able to kill him before he got his torps away... front 2 turrets let rip from 3.5km and i hit him with 5 of the 6 shells for 1k damage ( aka ONE overpen ) the rest of the shells did zero damage despite being listed as pens ( and considering my target and range, i would be rather impressed with a bounce ), then he got his fish in the water before i could have a go with the rear turrets and i sunk, he capped our base as our colorado was to far away ( hugging the other map border ) to re-set the cap point
  16. ^^ we had Assault to look forward to... that was apparently canned then we had .... umm im sure we had something... maybe ? they did tweak the AI once i think... possibly Co-op should get a re-work, maybe even with its own specials ( arp missions perhaps ) also larger matches would be good, a slight buff to earnings would be VERY welcome also... and might encourage more people to play it

    i once got a 2 week chatban in WOT for talking about an AFK player using an Auto-aim bot ( even provided video evidence ) Mod : Bots do not exist in this game .Do not discuss them further. Any such discussion will result in a ban Me : but if bots do not exist, why cant we discuss them Mod : Player banned player 2 : but the video clearly shows the bot Mod : Player 2 banned Player 3 : isnt a chatban a little harsh for talking about an AFK player ? Mod : player 3 banned so the mods can be a little trigger happy when it comes to handing out chatbans

    in Co-op it would be easier on a fail toon considering that its a mirror matchup, ( so the AI gets a fail-toon as well ) unless you get into an assault mode ( providing WG ever can get it working ) tbh i would love to see bigger matches in PVE...

    they do need to introduce a penalty for fail-toons looks like you either got a full fail platoon ( Kawachi + dresden ) or 2 separate fail toons on the same team iirc the MM uses the highest teir ship in a platoon, and uses that to find a match, but i think it also assigns that MM 'weight' to all the other ships in the division so a teir 6 with a teir 2 would count as 2 teir6 it handicaps your team, annoy's almost everyone involved... but its a fairly easy way to troll, and almost risk free ( i mean who really thinks that WG cares to much about your reports when they must get thousands of troll reports per day )

Wargaming are unlikely to mind to much about Smurf accounts, its just more accounts at the end of they day that they can use in their marketing campaign Selling accounts is something that happens in WOT as well, and while they do try to clamp down on it, in the long run there is very little they can do about it

EDIT...wtf, 645 CO OP BATTLES... and you talking about bored ecc ecc?? another response WTF you have like over 600 PVE battles and GTFO of random battles Basically because i enjoy PVE as opposed to PVP i am in fact a retard ( odd how that works ) both threads got binned by mods for a combination Trolling / abuse, but the point still stands

    the forum has become Semi-toxic ( more so than it was during the Beta ), people like me ( who enjoy PVE gamemode ) get bashed in almost every post we make. The ironic thing is that in PVE game mode, the players are MUCH less toxic. I have been told i suck, that i need to L2P, called a retard dozens of times and found out that at least 20% the community seems to be sleeping with my parents in PVP matches, but i dont think i have ever seen it happen during PVE anyone who posts anything here instantly have the forum warriors go look up their stats for something to slag you off about ( like 'OMG you only have a 40% win ratio in X ship L2P scrub' or you have less than X number games, GTFO ) almost like because they are not meta game players, their opinion isnt worth anything.

    There is no money in tracking down Bot players ( despite the fact it might help make a better community ) alot of games end up in a sort of war with the cheats, the moment one cheat is located and removed, another takes its place lets say WG added an 'Anti AFK' system, where every ship that travelles 0.0km in a battle gets a 1 hour ban within a week most 'bots' and afk players will just jump into battle, tap the W key and leave ( or W and E to sail around in circles ) and the process to find these players starts again But remember, as a Mod once said to me in WOT 'Bots do not exist in this game, do not discuss them further. Any such discussion will result in a ban' - Mod 'but if bots dont exist, why can we not discuss them' -me 'player banned' -mod a quick look at any WOWS / WOT stat page will usually show a fair few people with abnormally high games played per day ( we spotted one a while ago who, if every match played was average length, played 27 hours per day, everyday for the month that the stats covered )

    Green color for positive Karma players?

    i would love to see positive Karma being rewarded in matches, maybe with a tangible bonus as well ( maybe +5% xp gain or something ) and a similar nerf to bad karma ( -5% xp ) hopefully it would reduce the amount of people in the game who start hurling insults at their team and generally making a complete fool out of themselves because they were sunk, and promote teamwork and constructive comments ( as people would be fishing for +1 Karma ) I could well see myself giving a +1 to an enemy player who takes the time to write 'nice shot, well played' etc into the chat, or a friendly that Escorts a BB etc and a -1 to someone who yells out 'F*****G HAX' ( along with various comments about my mother ). It would both punish A-Holes and reward decent folk and give an incentive to get good Karma. Sure it is open for abuse for people with large clan networks, but any reward system can be abused if you try hard enough
