I wonder if any of the stats sites can be mined to indicate if the Murmansk or Atago is better at credits for a given level of skill ? I fear the Murmansk will be nerfed hard once the Russian cruiser line is out. -

Tirpitz seems stronger generally, Atago is indeed a more fragile beast - does nothing well, but at least TB stay away usually.

There is a section of players that dont mind that and even want that. Much lower than arcade though. It would be nice to have historical discussions as to what armour , guns etc are appropriate for each ship - it might take 2 years for WT to correct a model but at least the sense is there that they do care more about even petty detail, at least on some level.Its a shame that they are a much more mixed bag as a company than WG, especially where gameplay is concerned.

Yes Atlanta relies on ambush - presumably with fewer players, they may take more care....maybe. I suspect that this tier 6-7 is desgned to exclude premiums.I suspect we shall see mainly US ships except a few Japanese tier 7 DD.

It does seem very weak at most engagement ranges. Will it be any good in the ranked battles where you only fight tier 6,7 ? I suspect not, it is only useful at close range.With few opponents, they will likely play smarter.

A pay to progress boost is fine, but it would be nice to have a nice battle won display that is unbuyable (something better than your colour on XVM).

Atago does seem a bit better than Tirpitz for net income, though this may change when we have fewer Tirpitz to fight. -
That implies the whole AA mechanic has been changed..... surely that should be explained ?

You can have fun in Atago - stay at extreme range, so many people try to hit you because you are perceived as a weak ship, it can save many allies from being hit. Ofcause that means you score low, but it annoys the enemy to see an Atago still afloat. Occassionally you also see an excellent Atago player, which really annoys people. Most despised ship of the high tiers ? -

HE is still better at most ranges against better opponents - those that fire then change course to maximise angling and seldom get that close to you anyway. AP is great for lucky shots. I tend to use AP more myself, but it results in some fairly random effects at longer ranges. -

I would disagree, thats still one less fire a game. Many other skills are also a bit weak like that. Its just that a very few are quite powerful (expect some nerfs in time)

Beware - last game I had B hull, was top tier - rest all IV. Tier IV carrier noticed I had no AA, flew bombers straight at me, bombed, game over, barely had a chance to look around, game over in a minute,
