The one trying to change topic its you mate... I never trolled anyone about stats and all I said about it was you can see the number of games I have on all classes... (you're the one accusing me of being a carrier player... you can do that by backing it up with my number of CV games being a lot higher then any other class or you can throw that accusation in the air and hope it sticks) I'm not the one that cant deal with it mate.. I have no problem dealing with torp bombers... its you that apparently cant deal with them...
-
Right there: my stats are not hidden in any way so you could waste 10 secs before making such statement... I got about same amount of games on all 4 classes. In fact my number of games with CV's only raised recently cause I was leveling up new captains to place on the tier 8 ships (since the good captains went on to tier X's) But replying to it, what I am is obviously a player that never had any problem dealing with enemy CV drops (because between manouvering, captain skills, defensive AA, positioning , allies, damage control parties, repair parties, etc I can deal with it)

3000 doubloons for a camouflage? Thats so ridiculous it gets to be hilarious... My bet is someone got "zero" key stuck after pressing "3"...
-
lol... you're not supposed to avoid all torps... if you could do it there was no point on having CV's since they couldnt hit anything anyway... Thats like complaining you couldnt avoid all the shells from enemy fuso cause they are too fast and many... You need to manouver to make the planes inside AA aura as long as possible so you kill some of them, and also so you dont take all the torps... of course you may end up taking a hit or 2... Despite you can always push a button after it and recover the lost HP in a BB... But the problem is the same as always... people dont know there is a minimap on the corner of the screen (that shows planes coming sometimes with several minutes warning as they are spoted by allies far far away)... So the only time they notice a CV will drop on them is when they hear the "beep beep" of incoming torps as they are about to hit... Of course you cant dodge anything by then... duh

Reflection on Caption Skills after Epic Shimakaze 20km torpedo nerf.
SunSkaRe replied to KarmaQU_EU's topic in General Discussion
I wouldnt mind that we could "reset" a single captain skill for like 25 gold each (or whatever the cost of a skill is... currently is like 25 per level, so 25 gold for a level 1 and 125 gold for a level 5 one) instead of having to reset the entire 18 (or whatever) points just to change a single skill (keeping the rest as it was) Like I wanted to change the level 3 "torpedo acceleration" to, for example, "last stand"... I would pay 25 gold (or in this case 75 gold) and reset only that skill (until I choose a level 3 one and in case I didnt had any other level 3, all skills at level 4 and 5 wouldnt be active) Shouldnt be too hard to have implemented and would solve so much issues... pretty please WG...- 24 replies

I'm from the planet where I have over 1100 battles with CV's and you have 1... (so maybe its not me that is wrong? but who knows eh...) Post a replay where you see a drop of torpedos insta arming as they hit the water... really post one I dare you...
-
Love all the complains about CV's from people that dont play them... Torpedo bombers have activation times already... no you cannot drop them right next to a target and do damage. Takes them almost 5 seconds to arm (if they hit before arming they dont do damage) Yes you can send planes "outside of map" but they dont go invisible... I've never seen planes becoming invisible just cause they are flying over the border in over 3000 games... And planes can do that to get those border surfin peeps... Or even if you're not pushing the blue line but sailing next to it you cant count on it being the great china wall. And again you are not supposed to avoid all torpedos... same way when a BB shoots at you, you cant complain that you couldnt dodge all incoming shells. And I dare you to go make those close drops on DD's and tell me again how a DD cant avoid it. Not to mention you are supposed to react to the planes and not wait from them to drop on you to go "ooh maybe I should start manouvering"

There are only 2 usefull skills at level 5... "Air supremacy" for CV's and "concealment" for everything else (and that everything else may even be worth getting more lower skills then getting a useless level 5 one)
-
So exactly which carrier have 4 torpedo squadrons with 2 secs activation time for torpedos? I want one of those

Its a bug... when you hover mouse over the superintendent skill it adds 1 consumable of each... but if you already have that skill unlocked it will still show you 1 more of everything over the 1 it is already giving you... you can test it easy... send captain to reserve and see how many consumables you have... then mount it again on the ship and you'll see you'll gain 1 of each (thanks to the superintendent)

Oh... that wont ever change... its been like that in WoT for years, XP just sits there (though in WoT you can throw that XP into the crew if you like)

While playing team battles the other day and changing modules/upgrades I end up thinking about something that I would pretty much like to see added to the game that would help players... That is having the ability to mount/unmount upgrades without having to pay additional credits/dobloons... I'm not talking about changing the way it is now (where we can destroy an upgrade or demount it for 25 dobloons), what I'm suggesting is adding a 3rd option that is buying a certain equipment that can only be used on the ship we bought it for and that can be freely demounted and mount back on that ship (same way we can buy permanent camoflage for certain ships) I know the ability to demount the very expensive upgrades for 25 dobloons so we can mount them on another ship is nice and saves lots of credits, so why did I even came up with such idea of locking an upgrade to a single ship? Well thats easy, playing ranked/team battles, we end up using ships for different roles, and we change equipment to adapt to that role... For example, a CV player wants to go fighter deck and takes upgrades to boost the fighters... then another game the plan is to have it with a strike loadout and so have to change the upgrades to match that. Later if returning to a fighter deck have to change the uprades once again (demounting/destroying plus rebuying the same upgrade over and over) Same for other ships like having a CA fitted into an AA role or changing it into a more DD hunting/spoting type... Idea is that there are some ships we keep for a more competitive play and that we frequently have to change upgrades and waste lots of money and time demounting and rebuying same upgrades for the same ship over and over again (and in my point of view its not very pratical) So we could be given the ability to buy that same upgrades for a little more credits but having that option to mount/demount on a single ship freely. I couldnt think of any downside... anyone sees any? Would this make sense to anyone else?

Yes its true... on CBT XP gain was accelerated and we also needed less XP per "level" for the captain. For example right now to go from 18 points to 19 points we need to grind 10 million XP on that captain. On CBT we only needed a couple hundred thousand for the same

So what you're saying is that the only problem is I remove the constant drain of dobloons if I want to have more then a single use for a ship? - I suggested making the upgrades more expensive (credit wise) to lock them to a ship... but why not letting them be the way they are and pay like 100 dobloons for each upgrade we want to block to a ship? - Or why not just pay the 300 dobloons (that a port slot cost) and instead unlock a 2nd set of upgrades (like following your example mogami have a set of upgrades with 5 slots... we could pay dobloons and add a 2nd set with another 5 slots and we choose which one we want active on the ship) Basically spending twice the credits on upgrades then we do now (even with some upgrades being repeated) Its just that personally I dont see the point in buying more then 1 identical ship just for the purpose of having different upgrades on them when right now we are allowed to change those upgrades. Its just not pratical that if I pick mogami to go randoms, then want to take it to team battles (have to pay to demount and mount upgrades), then go back to random (pay more to change it back to what I already have)... then next day I repeat that over and over... its like we keep paying dobloons (even if only 25 each) over and over to keep having the same things. Its fine the way it is to demount to send them to other ships... but to change back and forth upgrades on the same ship? I think it needs some changing (even if we have to pay a fixed amount of dobloons to gain access to it)

You are both understanding me wrong... I didnt suggested to get rid of the current system. I merely suggested to add a different type of upgrades to the already existing ones. (In the end WG wont lose anything as we will actually buy more upgrades then we do now) I'll try to explain what I was saying: Currently we can buy upgrades for a ship then we unlock the next tier ship, we sell the ship, demount the upgrades (for 25 dobloons each), buy next tier ship and mount on it those upgrades (Then repeat all this till get to tier X) But sometimes we want to keep a lower tier ship (for team battles, ranked, or just cause we like it) So we rebuy (or keep that ship on the first place) and buy all the upgrades for it. But in this case we plan to keep that ship so we will never need to demount the upgrades to move them to a higher tier ship. What I suggested was that we can then buy the upgrades for maybe a higher cost then normal (some cost 3 millions... make it cost 5 millions... I'm not arguing about price here but the idea behind it) but dont allow those upgrades to be mounted on any other ship. They can only be mounted/demounted on the ship we bought them for. In the end the players will instead of for example buying 5 upgrades on a tier 8 ship, buy maybe 9 (and with each of them being more expensive then they are now). And if we buy the normal upgrades (the way it is currently) we can still use dobloons to demount them if we want to move those to other ship. It changes nothing for WG other then the fact, players may be willing to spend more credits on a ship then we do now (and we all know that to make credits either we play lots, we buy premium, account, premium ship or buy packages). This will simply give players the ability to customize a ship for more then a role. Now about builds... like I said without what I suggested to begin with, it wouldnt make any change at all in WG income (or the way the game is right now for that matters). Cause all a build would do was automatize a process we can do manually: 1- Demount a pre-defined upgrade for 25 dobloons 2- Mount a pre-bough upgrade in its place (that we had previously already bought for credits)
-
Thats another way to deal with it but a bit redundant... and not really win-win... We would still have to buy the upgrades but we would also need to spend more dobloons on a port slot and credits on a ship exactly the same... (the cost of a port slot would allow to demount an upgrade 12 times... and the cost of a new tier 8 ship would pay for buying upgrades again in case of destroying them several times as well) Still think its a lot easier to implement my first idea of having a 3rd type of upgrades...
-
Having different "builds" for each ship would be a nice feature as well as it would save the time to change upgrades as we could change "roles" by simply selecting the build we want... In that case we had to be able to buy several upgrades of same type to have them linked to each build... but I would still say that we should be able to buy those upgrades specifically to a ship so we dont have to be paying credits and/or dobloons to be constantly mounting/demounting them. You're saying like the next step on what I was suggesting. Without the ability to change upgrades at will, builds will simply be a automated shortcut to do those changes while still paying 25 dobloons to demount a upgrade and paying credits to buy another. But I would like to see both things implemented yeah...

Interesting as it may be I'll bet that mode would end up every single time in flagship sailing to the corner of the map from start to end... (so would be a mobile objective only on those minutes it would take the BB to sail from spawn to neareast corner) Also nothing would prevent that "flagship" is someone normally called "noob" that just sails into oblivion or is afk and ruin the game for everyone. Maybe the idea could be used on team battles or ranked battles (where there is a bit more cooperation) and the flagship is worth a bit higher sum of points then a normal BB but not game deciding (could be interesting adding that factor to the bases points) Edit: And CV's can also be a good flagship unit since they are normally safer in the back and maybe that way some cruisers would actually care to support them... maybe xD

WoWs damage model problem? BB shell does double damage?
SunSkaRe replied to ScratxNeko's topic in General Discussion
I've had it happening (and seen it with others hitting me as well) where a salvo falls a bit too late with a single shell hitting like the rudder popping a "penetration" signal (not a citadel one) and insta 10k+ damage... So its not only the section the shell hit that is strange but also the amount of damage done without a citadel as well... -
WoWs damage model problem? BB shell does double damage?
SunSkaRe replied to ScratxNeko's topic in General Discussion
I didnt meant it random rolls like that... you cant predict what damage a certain section had already taken (mostly cause I'm not always the only one shooting a target and not all shells land where I aim anyway cause while damage may not be RNG accuracy is) And yeah I could understand a shell hitting the bow and continue to pen and hit the citadel... but I've had max rolls sometimes with a single shell hitting for example the rudder or the tip of the bow on a broadside ship (and unless shells made a 90 degree ricochet they would never hit citadel)... but even in that case shouldnt the interface show a "citadel" hit instead of a normal penetration one? -
WoWs damage model problem? BB shell does double damage?
SunSkaRe replied to ScratxNeko's topic in General Discussion
thanks for the link... explains some things... but still am the same as to why pens give such random rolls with every hit... or how would a hit on a bow section do maximum AP damage without penning the citadel for example... -
WoWs damage model problem? BB shell does double damage?
SunSkaRe replied to ScratxNeko's topic in General Discussion
So you're saying Tirpitz shells only do 3800 damage when they penetrate? (and not overpen) I'm by no means an expert on WoWs ballistics (and with the amount of RNG it takes in account I wont ever bother to be one) but then you would find it strange to do a 11k damage shot with it? Does all your shots do 3800 damage? Cause my Tirpitz (as well as all ships for that matter) do every kind of damage rolls... even 10k damage hits with a single shell on the bow (of another tirpitz) are not uncommon... -
WoWs damage model problem? BB shell does double damage?
SunSkaRe replied to ScratxNeko's topic in General Discussion
eerr... single hit does double damage of what? Tirpitz AP does 11600 damage max... you did 7656... I dont see any problem there (in fact you were closer to do half the max damage let alone double damage) -
so... no more Midway OP?

What is the worst premium ship in the game?
SunSkaRe replied to AndyHill's topic in General Discussion
I believe Mikasa is the winner as the worst premium judging on players comments about it may even win it as the worst ship premium and regular ship... But never played it so cant say for sure... Aurora is a premium St Louis yes... same thing as a Diana But looking at what you can get from premium shop currently (atago, atlanta, murmansk, ishizuchi, aurora) think the worst is probably the ishizuchi... kinda without range and without armor to fight with other BB's same tier...
