If you do the 1,5x today you will lose the 2x when clock restarts... so if you want to use the 2x dont play (or at least dont win tonight) Not that it makes any difference 1,5x or 2x anyway... but its up to you

Yeah since you said you wouldnt mind spending gold to convert a US captain to the RN I simply pointed out that you can use your Warspite to train a RN from the start and when the actual RN ships come out you can retrain your captain into a DD (if you like or a CA or whatever) and redistribute his skills points into that particular ship class... Would achieve the same thing so you wouldnt be on "disadvantage" to any other BB player. As mentioned you can train as many RN captains using Warspite as you want... as long as you are willing to put the gold after into retraining and re-assigning (is that a word? lol) skills

There is nothing preventing you from taking your Warspite captain (since that is the only ship right now that you can use to train a RN captain) and train him to any other type of vessel (DD, CA, CV, whatever) I dont see how you would be at a disadvantage... if you really want to train another one you can always send your captain to reserve and recruit a new one and train him also on the warspite, would be the same as training him on some other nation ship to transfer him to RN after by paying gold...

Aslain said it was a false positive but as always is up to you to trust it or not... I'm using it (or some mods from at it) without any problem...

On late hours and higher tiers if there are not enough people to make mirror teams the MM tries to balance it out.. but every now and then such games happen (yeah even on open beta) Also had one of a Midway that got matched against a North Carolina and 2 Atagos (got no printscreen of that though) Most people have their mindsets that CV's are a hedious thing sent from hell to punish their poor lives... so their answer will always gonna be "nerf them till no one plays CV's anymore" So yeah taking the CV balancing stuff out of the way (OP or not OP) and looking at the queue time only yeah we can agree on that (at least thats what I've been saying)... long queue times is not a good thing for anyone... We'll see if it gets fixed or not... -

Thats partially what I was saying... yes in ideal terms having a CV of same tier on each side is nice, but when there is no one to match your CV then what? (I'm not directly talking about CV's balance with other ships, I'm not defending they are not OP or UP or whatever... I'm talking about queue times) So in those cases where a same tier then your CV cannot be found after 5 mins what should MM do? Keep the player in queue waiting forever or try to get the player a match? By trying to get a match of course MM will have to attempt to balance it the best it can (giving higher tiers to a team then to another, giving 1 extra player to another team, giving an higher or lower tier carrier to enemy team, etc) I think all those options are better then just sitting in queue... I've been against Midways and HIA's with my Shokaku and yeah its not easy or as "balanced" as if against a same tier carrier but I didnt mind those games every now and then (especially when one of the cruisers help to protect me) and I would certainly prefer getting that match then just sitting in queue cause there was no player with a lex or another shokaku to be matched against me... The 12 Des Moines vs 1 Midway was a silly example yes, was just trying to say that MM could try to "balance" teams so that players get a game after 5 mins if no 2 CV's of same tier could be found... The 5 Tirpitz vs 4 Fuso and 1 Kongo was a real example I got yesterday (as silly as the Des Moines example but oh well it happens) For example someone posted here a battle result against me of a game where MM wasnt that much friendly to me: I still prefer getting a game like that every now and then rather then just sitting in queue for god knows how long (despite yeah I'm sure MM could do better then that) -

CV's need to be balanced and its numbers limited cause the main counter to it its teamwork... now we all know people are too stupid to even understand what that means (thats why you see those sentences like "oh I dont protect BB's when I'm in a cruiser cause I dont get XP for shooting planes"... yes cause keeping allies alive wont help your team win and give your more XP) So if MM made a game of 1 Midway (without allies) against 12 Des Moines... think the cruisers could have a chance of winning? Or should we just keep the CV player in queue till sun dies out without event trying to give him a match (cause thats what I'm talking about... not keeping players in queue waiting for the time to go have dinner, then come back and still be waiting) And its ok to have games where 1 team have 5 Tirpitz and the other have 4 Fuso and a Kongo, but having a game where one team have a Midway and the other have a Shokaku omg, thats like hell on earth (better keeping the Midway and the Shokaku players in the queue for 1 hour until someone show up that can match their tier lol) -

Who ever said anything about that? Why dont they just get matched against same tier opponents? There are other tier X ships appart from CV's you know? (yamato, montana, des moines, zao, shimakaze, gearing)... Now you can have 30 Des Moines in queue but if you're the only CV waiting for a battle you wont get a match (even if you couldnt do crap against that amount of cruisers with a CV) And I cant get games with my tier 9 CV (yesterday I managed to get 3 games in a day, all in a row cause I was lucky there was 2 other people playing tier 9 carriers at same time) let alone get a tier X one... And how bad would it be to have a carrier 1 tier lower or higher on enemy team if no other carrier to match could be found in the 5 mins queue time? Also playing cruisers got a lot boring as well since there are so much CV free games I have no need to be escorting any BB... But yeah I'm sure all noobs that cant use minimap nor pay attention to more then 1 thing at a time are very happy with not having to worry about CV's at all -

Not to mention I cant even get the tier X cause I cant grind the tier 9 (if I cant get matches I cant make XP with it so cant grind it) I play CV's like I play other things... try to look at things from outside your magic bubble.. I'm grinding 5 different lines at same time: - IJN CV line (got the Taiho) - USN BB line (got the Iowa) - USN CA line (got the Pensacola) - USN DD line (got the Maihan) - IJN BB line (got the Fuso) I have more games played on BB's or cruisers then on CV's... so maybe try to think for more then 1 sec before coming with brilliant ideas like "play something else then CV's" -

Are you for real? If I was gonna say learn to play to everyone that complains *insert ship class* is OP the way people like you call others sealclubbers this game would evolve a lot faster I'm sure... I didnt see anyone here complain how CV's manual drop distance was nerfed, or how the decks got nerfed, or how life is miserable cause people cant use defensive fire or look at minimap... Only saying its dumb to keep 1 CV in queue forever (either drop it out of queue after 5 mins or get it a game) cause 12 ships cant manage to hold off 1 CV since everyone is too busy doing their own thing. I played through the low and middle tiers with every ship classes like everyone else and for me I never saw a problem with carriers (but thats my opinion and yeah CV's were a bit too powerfull in the hands of people that knew what they were doing), but I also got bored everytime I took an cleveland or atlanta and there was no damn carrier on enemy team (its fun to swap the little flies) Edit: and I always enjoyed those awkward games (like when a midway gets matched against a carolina and 2 atagos)... it always feels like a change of pace from those 12vs12 simetrical games anyway -

Yeah also had to gave up with my Taiho last night... couldnt get a match cause now I can only play/grind it if there is someone out there with a same tier CV that wants to play it at same time as me. Honestly it is a bit dumb... And why having a sentence saying "Maximum queue time for a random battle is no longer then 5 minutes" if you can wait for 1 hour? lol much? Why not just wait the 5 mins and then if no other carrier to match it is found just give it a game (yes every now and then it can lead to an awkward game but probably better then waiting in queue forever without knowing if can get a game or not) As soon as I gave up waiting for a game with the Taiho and picked the Iowa bam insta games with plenty of tier 9 and 10's and ofc... no carriers... Also shouldnt that "Players within your range" sentence be changed to "Players with same tier"... cause certainly I cant have 0 cruisers and DD's within my range and enter a game 1 second later with 8 DD's and a bunch of cruisers (but thats another topic anyway) -
Having some reward for escorting would be good (even though it would have to be for actually protecting and not just sailing close enough to an ally... you should get nothing to sit next to your carrier on a corner of the map while all enemy ships are spotted on the opposite side of the map) Despite bonus or not every cruisers benefict from escorting a BB anyway... you'll be protecting your ally from planes and DD's (giving your team an advantage and increasing the chances for victory) and in return you get protected from bigger ships as well... Of course BB's need to be aware that they got bigger range so they need to move closer in order that allied cruisers escorting them can help them firing at enemy while still staying close... (then again if BB players did this the players in cruisers wouldnt be complaining they need more bonus for escorting) Also I would pretty much like they add something to say when an allied cruiser have its AA defense ability activated... (maybe even a way of a cruiser saying how long for him to have his ability back from cooldown as well, like in WoT we can click a button and in chat it says how long for our reload)

After a certain update still on CBT (cant remember wich) my loading times skyrocket as well... they went from instant to something like game clock showing 17 mins remaing for game (meaning game started 3 mins ago). I just gave up on understanding the why of it... every game loads in seconds on my computer with exception of 2 games... World of Tanks (after some update as well) and World of Warships... The most curious thing about WG titles is that loadings are random... one game it loads in 5 seconds, the next game takes 5 minutes, the game after that god knows... I also got the games on a separate hard drive from windows... and computer is not that weekling to not be able to handle it.

Secondaries are they worth anything (except setting BB's on fire)?

You're forgeting the very important fireworks effect of shells going everywhere... maybe enemy gets distracted with such beautifull show and forgets to fire at you... On a side note I once did 80k damage with secondaries on the Amagi... but was a very strange game (helps to have 2 enemy clevelands parking 3 Km from you on both sides of your ship ) -
Yeah I dont think that module is much usefull on a cleveland... rather have the reload then the faster aiming. Thats what I put in mine... but I like having AA bonus to my US cruisers (dont forget to change the upgrade from hydroaccustic search to defensive AA as well... that sonar thing is pretty much useless while the AA can wreck planes and disrupt their drops) I didnt notice much difference on a cleveland with it... rather have the extra AA range upgrade (the shells spread on a cleveland aint bad anyway... its pretty accurate without any bonus) But again thats just me...

You dont have a main batery reload time for cleveland... what you have is probably "Main battery modification 2" And that upgrade does 2 things: -it increases turret rotation in 15% (which is good) - and it increases loading time in 10% (which is bad... means it makes reload 10% slower and not faster) Basically its a module upgrade that improves a stat of the ship at the expense of another. P.S.- And yes they do stack up... so currently you are getting a bonus to reload time from the captain skill and taking also a penalty to it from that module upgrade

For me its not actually the economy that is wrong... but I find a bit "funny" the price certain things cost... Starting with upgrades price and ending on the always hilarious cost of ships... like for example: North Carolina - 18 millions ish... Iowa - 29 millions ish Montana - 20 millions ish... How come someone had the idea that a tier 8 ship cost around the same as a tier X and the tier 9 costs like 1/3 more then the next tier X? lol much?

Dont be... I would actually prefer all my Colorado games were like that... would grind it a lot faster then in 12vs12 games lasting 20 mins and making 200 more XP...

eerr... its bad if you go close range against a ship armed with torpedos... but against a St. Louis going close range is actually good for you... you'll be a lot more accurate with your shells (many times you will even just 1 shoot it) while the St Louis cant penetrate you, at best he will spam HE on your superstructure... Its like the Kawachi... no one likes it, its slow, half its guns cant be used... but on tier 3 everytime it hits those juicy cruisers... BOOM lol (both of them you need what... 10 games or less to grind them over... hardly a tough thing to do)

what? little more damage then St. Louis? St Louis - 3000 max AP shell damage (times 9 guns give roughly 27.000 damage per salvo) South Carolina - 8100 max AP damage (times 8 guns get around 64.800 damage per salvo) So if South Carolina hit and penetrate all shells it would kill 2 St. Louis with 1 salvo... Though its true that St Louis feels more like a battleship dragging around the sea with its slow slow speed... and the amount of guns make it feel OP as hell... but still if a South Carolina hits it will do a lot of damage...

Thats very pretty and all... but I'm yet to see any enemy prioritize a cruiser 14Km away over an BB 10Km away... and even if they do, a cruiser can quite easilly dodge shells at those ranges while the BB will have easy time hitting from 10Km anyway... Those theories of cruisers having to be in front of BB's are kind of hilarious though... so the cruisers go in front, die instantaneously so the weak BB's can snipe from all the way back with their super accuracy and fast firing guns? lol yeah that sounds about right... Shame I didnt record that game in closed beta where in my Amagi I went right into the middle of 2 Clevelands (talking about under 4Km from them with 1 on each side of my ship) and my secondaries completely ripped them appart killing them both while I used main guns to shoot a BB that was behind them... Ended up with secondaries doing over 80k damage that game. Would be a good game to show how weak BB's are close range.
