Not really an accurate map! The tower of London is south of the river not north!

For some reason modstation is showing I only have version 10.3 installed and says play without mods, yet my game is 10.4 all updatses done and modstation is not detecting that even if I try to add it again, any help?

The sooner ship restrictions are in place the better, fighting 2x BB and 4x Mogodor is not much fun

I asked for a refund on the 12th december, got a reply saying okay they will manually remove the items and refund me, since then they placed ticket on hold and have ignored my messages. So I guess my next step is to request a refund through my bank, if WG lock my account for that I will seek legal advice on how to resolve this issue, as over the years I have spent thousands of £s on this game and if I am denied access to that because WG have mislead me I will not be a happy person.

Let it be after 100 games with a generous MM when you think "It is not that bad" and want to treat yourself, or getting some new ships in which you have a good MM for a couple of games. You will find yourself being let down again and again. The only logical step is to uninstall all WG crap and find yourself some peace. You will feel much more stressless after a couple of weeks and you actually ask yourself why you have punished yourself with such an RNG and scam riddled game and wasted so many precious hours trying to get good or better in something which is more a heavily influenced simulation environment than what it should be - a game to have some fun with together with your friends. The only thing that keeps WG alive is their toxic vortex of addiction, pure frustration and a portion of success.
I would have agreed with you some time ago, but enough is enough, I play less than I used to already and I already have plenty of ships to play for fun, with this revelation on how WG fix the crates so you cant get the decent ships means enough is enough, I am not a child and know when to put my adult head on.

I just put a ticket in for a refund of all the santa containers I bought total almost £150.
Thing is I would have been happy to buy them if WG was honest and fair, the fact they have handled this whole thing in such a poor manner (punishing players for losing all progression) I have decided to continue playing the game but without any financial input from me any more. I still have over 500 days of premium from containers and purchases made from last Christmas, if I had known then how WG have mislead me I would not have made those purchase either.
Over the years I have spent around $5000 on WG titles, now they have upset me and that means over the next few years they will be several thousand pounds down just from one player! If other players took it the same way then WG would have no choice but to change their ways into something closely resembling being even remotely honest. Or face the fact they actually need paying customers more than the customers need them, as they would all be looking for a new job.

My amazon is linked to WG account already, I logged into twitch claimed container mission successfully and nothing in game ???
Very strange, I logged into twitch again and although it told me successfully claimed the 1st time, I could claim it again, now I have the mission!

Truth is the only honest way for these containers to work is this, if you have already got the ship that is in the Santa container short list so it appears as a super container. Then the super container should contain a ship that is in the shortlist but one that you do not have already. Anything else is basically underhanded and daylight robbery, especially when you can buy half these ships with no risk at all!

offering refunds when we have a statutory right to refunds, anyway? this isn't generosity. The PSA even has the balls to describe the items on sale as gifts.
there is no internal audit, development has not been frozen, items are still on sale, unchanged in content and description.
Just more proof that WG have no [edited] to give!!

I guess haters gona hate , but what would your move as multimillion company CEO be after such a mess?
if they do the refund for me as they quoted here , i will be pleased.
They should do the refund without penalising player progression, pure and simple.
They deliberately misguided the player base and have damaged player relations once again. Any loss from this fiasco should be met by WG not the customers.

This whole thing is a fiasco created by WG need for greed. I bought 4x lots of 8 containers, in total I got 4 premium ships all from super containers, probably because I already have the makarov. I did get the Hood but the other 3 are total crap ships that no one ever plays. When WG say it is a low chance what they mean is, the player base who WG consider to be scrubs and cash cows get shafted with crap. This is obvious by the amount of Makarov drops that have been posted.
WG are heading into another PR fiasco, the greed they have wanting money based on promises of what ships are included, while they know they will not actually include those ships is mind boggling. This is WG biting the hand that feeds it once again.
-
Will the roll back be for the whole account? As in losing all ships and commanders? or just rolled back to before the containers were bought?
-
What is the point of players filling in bug reports when WG has failed to fix bugs that have been in the game for years? You bring out new content every month to raise revenue from time restricted loot boxes and early access to new shgips, yet ignore bugs that sometimes completely ruin the game play. It appears this is the reason for the continued drive to get players to recruit new blood because so many leave fed up with WG pretending they fix issues when they don't.
For this reason I have stopped logging into the PTS server and will not do it again until WG addresses the bugs in game with the same zeal you show when trying to raise revenue!

The biggest problem I have with this game is the constant falling short shells and bugs in general, WG have stated they fixed it, yet in fact half the time it is 10x worse, before when it happened you could deselect the target and target it again and you had a chance of hitting roughly where you aimed. Now it just happens constantly and if you aim above deck level now the shells do go where you aimed and just fly over the target.
WG have known about this for months and done nothing about it. I want to know why? Are the developers not skilled enough to fix it? Are they too lazy to fix it? Or does WG not want it fixed?
Every single MMO I have played except WG titles actually do fix bugs within a few weeks of complaints from the player base, why does it take forever for WG to get their finger out. As players we do notice when WG [edited] up and ships perform better than they should, usually a micro patch within a day or two, yet bug? WG attitude seems to be, we have no bugs game is perfect! Your computer is crap, your internet is crap, you aim wrong, anything that points the problem back at the player instead of dealing with well documented issues raised by players!

It is not Grozovoi specific, it is DD specific when a CV is in game, there is no counter to a CV except ships staying closer together. Most DD players simply rush cap at start then get spotted by CV and wrecked by everything. So don't go into the cap unless you have cover from other ships and AA support at the start. DD's become more effective later game, when they can take caps with less focused fire on them and CV's have less planes. When ship numbers are down then the Grozovoi becomes one of the best DD's, it is fast can defend itself against other DD's and the odd plane attack.
The thing is whenever a CV is in game every class has to be ready to change play style and tactics, any player overextending is a bad thing at the best of times when a CV is in game it is usually a fatal error.

On 8/19/2020 at 7:53 PM, HaachamaShipping said:Grozovoi defAA will get you killed by giving your position away, as any competent CV player will remove you from the game. The main defense you got against CV in a DD is to not be found. 20 km torps aren't the best means of getting stuff done, but they are the best playstyle for not being found without being completely useless. Obviously, if you feel that a CV compromises DD gameplay, the issue shouldn't be what DD to play, but go play a different class.
Grozovoi AA will not get you killed, unless you over extend, if a CV is in game then let the CV spot,, stay closer to BB's and cruisers for group AA defense, that way you can negate a big chunk of CV time and influence. To over extend in any DD period is asking to get killed, also playing a different class has the same result because you need caps or kills to win, cruisers or BB's can often use an island near cap and give a capping DD additional AA defense. So if a CV focuses the DD then the DD should take his planes into others flak so CV is not doing damage, they either spot or go for damage that way, so a single DD will still have effect.

Frankly, by the time IJN DDs are truely unplayable, DDs overall are unplayable with current mechanics. Because even if CVs become oppressive enough that you never can move too far forward, Shima can just load 20 km torps and spam those. What will Daring, Z-52 or Grozovoi do?
Not saying CVs aren't painful, but not really more than for other DDs.
Grozovoi has best AA defence after the EU destroyers so a CV would likely pick another target 1st and all 3 you mentioned will easily out gun a shima if the CV spots it for them, the 20km torps are spotted from almost 3km away, so unless your aiming at a parked BB you will be lucky to get more than 2 hit and that being generous. also a good CV player will keep a shima out the game. I have all the tier X DD's and do still play my shima, but it has been power crept massively by the changes to Cv's the addition of so many gun boats and radar. Also the daring has a lot of smoke charges and a quick cool down to help keep it out of trouble.

Or maybe people use it to hide account sharing.
I guess WG decided to believe the latter when looking at the whole picture.
The remaining bit of uncertainty could be the reason why the players involved are just getting a clap on the hand and not losing their accounts...
But that's all speculation.
There are VPN's out there that have gaming in mind, you connect to their server in your country and they direct either by shortest or most stable route to a server in the country where game server is, this can reduce pig and packet loss by crazy amounts. Pretty much for the rest of us we all end up going through the Telia network to get to WG servers and that network is crap on it's best day.

Dockyard directive: Reinforcing the fleet.
In any one battle cause 165,000 damage to ships.
Restriction: DD's
Are WG having a laugh? WG intention to have a CV in every game makes this task almost impossible. The only games I get without a CV are when I take the Halland. DD's like the Shimakaze are restricted to staying with fleet and smoking them when needed. Not only is this boring as hell, the chance to get that kind of damage is almost impossible.
With the HE META the only DD's that are viable are gunboats like the Haragumo with max ranged guns Does this game needs directives that encourage more HE spammers to sit in smoke and pew pew?
This kind of directive simply makes the game boring and a whole lot less dynamic.
-
IJN DD's are really good for the role, problem is, it is Weegees intention to have a CV in every game, that is there goal. So in the long run unless Weegee drastically change AA, plane spotting and plane damage, there is no future whatsoever for the IJN DD's.
Simply put if a CV spots you be ready to lose half your health on 1st strike, (not including damage from spotting). So you have to stay very close to AA ships for whole battle. Needless to say it is boring beyond belief. If you manage to stay alive until end of game you might get a cap if your lucky!

It is WG auto aim assist that is the problem, aim at one ship then just move reticule to another ship 2km further and shells will land in between. Which shows WG decide where shells actually land, so if you are close with reticule to prime target point of impact, WG adjust it to the point of dev strike or complete miss. This gives the impression to me that the RNG method is completely;y screwed and out the park half the time. The fact WG ignore it further goes to show that it is likely the case. Whole salvo should never land 1km short of a ship 10km away if every shell has it's rng. Certainly not as often as it does, the laws of math will show show that putting 12 numbered balls into a bag and drawing no1 12x in a row is rae but not impossible, to do it 3 salvo's in a row is probably around 25,000,000,000 to 1 without other numbers being drawn in between.

Cmon, drop it here, what's the problem?
Or are you here just to cry how you missed one salvo, and ofc you being godlike with literally 100% hitrate that must have been a bug?
problem with the replay is simple, it shows server side not client side. A couple of years ago I launched torpedoes only to get a torpedo warning, they had launched 2 ship lengths in front of me. my ship being further ahead than the client was showing, clearly desync, yet when I watched replay before I was going to send it in. It showed torps leaving my ship as normal.
So unless the replay is made from client side it has no value, would be better still if WG kept replays server side too, so they could then compare and actually see the problems rather then denying them on replay evidence.
