Two battles, two wins not anything to judge her on but a nice start. Haven't had time to devote more games to her, been very busy in ranked battles. I have noticed that she burns very easily but loving the secondaries, I wish I had a spare 15pt Captain to get AFT and get them out to 3.8km but if she keeps on like the first couple of battles then, we'll get along fine -
Hi Guys/Girls I have the Lo Yang and am playing her in ranked, am set up for stealth (6.4km at the minute) but I am using the Longer ranged torps (9.2km), is it worth sacrifising range for a faster and shorter range upgrade? I seem to have a reasonable amount of success in ranked in her at the minute but just wondered if anyone else is using the shorter range torps and has any thoughts on it?

Could'nt agree more, finding this little gem a real joy to play, yes the skill base at this level makes life easier but still, this little boat has a lot going for it. Don't or rarely use the guns (they are horrible) but do torp's from stealth, fight distracted BB's & CA's and you'll rack up the damage and kills. This is not a ship you can carry a battle in, perhaps in someones hands who are better than me , they could but you can have a very desicive impact on the battle in this ship. -

Yep the Amagi does very well in ranked, one last night in a close (under 5km) engagement with my Bismarck took me from 45k+ hp to nothing in two salvo's , admittedly he was down to only 8K+ hp himself but he hits very hard, luckily my team carried the match but will give the Amagi a fair bit more respect in future. -

I was ill over the weekend so I only got one battle in in the Itchy, it was a loss (my team committed suicide in various ways lol) and I got cornered by 2 BB's and a CA and finished off quite quickly but during the very short fight (I really dislike the range handicap) I managed 24k damage in a very short time and the accuracy didnt seem to bad. Hoping to have the time over the next few days to get a few more battles in her but also trying to push myself up the ranking in "Ranked Battles". At level 15 at the minute and finding it hard going, really must think about joining a clan for more experiance and divisions in randoms. -

Do you have the the Nurnberg, as I am struggling to like or get the best out of this ship. She's fully researched but somehow seems very squishy to me, yes I know not to show broadsides lol but with 50mm of armour at most, everything on her is just squishy and everyone and I mean everyone see's me and thinks SQUISHY, lets shoot at her lol -

I agree, please do not use in ranked ever, got deleted 3 times, in 3 battles last night, all BB's seem to know how bad your armour is and focus you and before you know it, game over. I tried keeping at distance, course changes, speed changes etc but when spotted it seems like you are everones favourite target . -
I don't know how WG MM with the Sharnhorst or prem ships in general but the nice thing I like so far in my T7 is that I seem to be top tier more often than not, perhaps its only luck so far but the Shiny Horse Vs a Tier 5 BB or CA is just a no contest, unless the player really knows his ship but even then its a very hard battle for T5's against you.

Spend your husbands money, tell him you bought a nice pair of German High Heels and enjoy the Shiny Horse, you'll be waiting a while for the Brit prems. WG never seem to do anything quickly when it comes to the British lines (World of Tanks I am looking at you)

I would highly recommend the Sharnhorst, I have a 15 point captian, AA and secondary builds and have a 7.6km range. Woe to any cruiser, DD or BB that gets within range. I had over 80 seconardy hits last night in one battle, doing over 30,000 damage (including fires) on a Kongo plus you have the fun of Torps too, just to finish the unwary or unknowing off when at close quarters. Also I think it was Flamu who did the secondary build on the Bismark and had the secondaries ranging out to just over 10kms, but I am still on the Kasier, so a little way to go before I can try that myself.

Hi Guys Looking for some advice on the torp's on the Lo Yang, should I stick with the 55k, 9.2km torps or upgrade to the 68k, 6km torps. At the minute I like being able to Invisi fire between 9.2km and 6.4km (my spotted distance) but wondering if the 68k torps will make life easier in knife fights at close range?

Hi Guys Is it me or are DD's losing a lot of turrets destroyed most battles. I seem to end most games with 2 or on 1 occasion 3 gun turrets knocked out. Didnt seem to notice this until recently, has something changed or am I just being too agressive in my style? Thoughts? Regards Soft Kitty

Was thinking more of my Lo Yang than any other DD, happened again last night, finished with only 1 out of 4 turrets working, lost 2 in the first 5 or 6 minutes. Makes life a lot harder trying to fend off another DD with only 2 turrets.

Did'nt I read or hear somewhere that if you have fired your guns (which you may have done, once spotted by the DD, I know I do at the DD to discourage him chasing me) you are still visable for up to 20 seconds after firing? -
I love the old Girl, admittedly her slow speed and size make her a high priority target for CV's who don't know any better (or so it seems to me) but she is manoverable as hell once fully upgraded with Rudder shift etc, so dodging most of the torps isn't too hard and I have upgraded my secondaries to over 7km range, with I think I am right in saying a -20% dispersion to the secondaries accuracy, making her an even more deadly close range fighter. Long may she rule the waves at T6 to T8
