I voted for DD's but also hoping we see some good Heavy Cruisers, looking forward to seeing how WG implement the Royal Navy's flavour in the heavy line. What will be the sort of stand out chararistic for this group?

The Fiji is probably my go to ship at the minute, for that awesome mix of stealth, power and ability to quickly hide or accelarate out of trouble and heal herself. A very squishy line of ships and you must be aware of your position, the enemy's position and your escape route at all times and do not, i repeat do not smoke up in the middle of open water with no escape behide an island available (unless you have no choice) You enemy will circle and wait, this means you have basically F*%£%"d up and you now are hoping they make a mistake and charge into your smoke and onto your torps.

Just bought the Hood (Captains Edition), as its finally at a reasonable price and I just couldnt wait another week or so before it drops again, damm you WG take my money lol Looking forward to playing her tonight, havent seen that many around on the EU server yet and havent really been troubled by her on the enemy teams. Still can't wait to get home early and sail into a a sea of shells aimed at me because A. Its the Hood, so lets kill the new ship and B. I tend to play very aggressive, which can lead to over extending, when the rest of my team either melt or turn tail. Have become tunneled visioned on many occasions, only to look up and find myself the centre of enemy attention cos no-one else is in sight

Mostly on a weekly basis, nice to see my stats slowly coming up after a poor start.

I understand that WG are a business and want to make money but they would have probably made more money if they had released a cheaper bundle, £85.00 has priced out 95% of thier market straight away. I am not rich but not poor but I consider £85.00 to be too much, yes you can argue that for what you get in the bundle, its good value for money its just that most people don't have £85.00 to throw at this opportunity.

£85.00 ffs WG, you could at least sell another couple of bundles, slightly cheaper. To say I am disappointed is an understatement but with WG EU nothing suprises me nowdays. PS - I would buy the Hood but am sure my wife will notice £85.00 missing from my pocket money lol and then she might start looking into what else I buy rofl, can't have that. PPS- Does the 19 day sale mean we won't see a cheaper bundle or the standard ship for 19 days?????

Personally i think we have enough BB's in game with torps, anymore and all brawling will be fraught with worrying overmuch about dodging the torps.

Hi Guys Well been thinking about this for a day or so but after finally unlocking FdG (fondly known as Fat Freddy), I just seem to have found a ship I just seem to click with. Yes I know 19 battles is way too few to make such a prediction with but seriously, with the 420 guns, a good captain and her/his troll armour she is such a bully and boy can she take some punishment, if you make a mistake or find yourself on the wrong end of 4 torps from a T10 carrier lol. I know I am a barely average player (getting better though - thumbs up to all the video's I watch on YouTube, Notser, Flamu, LWM, Jingles etc) but so far good stats in her, with a 68% WR, 12 battles survived and an average damage of 64K. Not great stats compared to some of you guys but she certainly feels good to me and I really don't think I ill be selling her when I finally unlock the T10. So I just thought I would share my love for FdG and see what you guys think? I have seen a few posts on the FdG but they mainly seem to talk about the choice of guns, 406 or 420, I went with the 420's due to the extra damage they dish out, raw dpm isnt such an issue for BB's in my opinion, as there are few occasions where you would be continuoulsy shooting your main guns for minutes on end, so the extra damage and slight better pen at range won the argument for me. I am approx 350k short of the Missouri, so its going to be quite a while before I get the chance to add her to my collection, is she any good, people seem very mixed about her.

I had some free xp left over, so I upgraded the guns, fire control, hull and engines straight away, made life a bit easier than having a stock grind.

Has anyone tried out dropping smoke for the Radar, any thoughts. I just got one of those Radar consumables in a super container and the only ship I own with a slot for it is my Minotaur but I am think that dropping the abiltity to hide (my detection range is 8.9km at the minute) against the advantage of longer radar coverage isnt a very good idea with such an easily deleted cruiser.

Had a team mate in ranked battle last night called "AnalAssault" , had to look twice and had me giggling like a girl all the way through the battle.

Feeling like I don't concentrate on one ship enough but with only 1006 battles, I still have time Anyway my most played is the Lo Yang with 130 battles and my faviourite is the Shiney Horse with 95 battles.

Not to put too much of a downer on your post OP but should you really pick a Tier 7 BB after less than 400 battles? Perhaps you would be better off for a while longer choosing a Prem BB or CA at Tier 5 or 6 and learning a bit more about the game etc, rather than jumping further up the tree. I made that mistake and whilst your stats are quite good (much better than mine lol) you will probably struggle in a higher tier match and be a burden to your team. Anyway my choice would be the Shiny Horse, an excellent all rounder. Good luck with whatever you choose

1963 (53 years young) here but good to see so many young at heart people like myself on here I still remember fondly my Commodore 64 & 128 playing Elite and load it from a floppy disk and perhaps if I remember correctly a tape or tapes as well.

Sad to say but the above is very true, been hit many many times in smoke in my Neptune. The smoke bubble isnt very large and any good/compentent player is going to shoot into the smoke knowing that theres a fair chance of hitting you. And with the Neptune & Minotaur (well all the RN CL line lol) being so squishy at any angle, any hits are really going to hurt :-(

Hi All I was out in my Bismarck last night and whilst dodging incoming near the western edge of the map, I ran into the border at a 90 degree angle, i.e. head on and there I stayed for at least a good 5 minutes. Turning, reversing, slowing up, speeding up etc etc etc, I tried all sorts but she wouldnt budge. Now this in no way stopped me firing etc and I continued to provide what fire I could but by the time, something seemed to unfreeze, I was one of only 3 ships left and we went down to a defeat. Has anyone else seen this bug? any idea's on what to do? (obviously not running into the border at that angle again is an obvious :-). Thanks SKWK

Honestly, I am not a habitual border hugger, really lol If anything I am a overly aggressive BB player and tend to push centre and occassional caps.

LOL In my defence (such as it is) I was engaged with an enemy Iowa, Roon and Bismarck (along with a couple of friendly DD's & CL'S). Funny thing is though, once I hit the border and was stuck there for the next 5 minutes, the enemy ignored me and concentrated on the CL's, even though I was still firing (I ended up with +90k damage).

Yep, I understand and know about that BUT 5 minutes no turning, no reversing, seems a bit much. Surely its a bug, it can't be working as intended. Yes my bad for not maintaining spatial awareness but to hold a ship in place with no movement shouldnt be correct?
