I too find it hard to make her work, and as a whole I play her thinking she is a tier 8 CV, very underwhelming, mind you I have just got the Midway, and as yet got to see how she stacks up, totally stock at the moment though. For some reason I think tier X CV's should be somewhat devastating, but as you mention withe Audacious's bombs, they are week and worse still very slow, buffs are needed here

Well I just played a game in the Nelson, followed by one in the Vlad, just to get her Russian feel, Nelson put me off the Lenin straight away, because I hate her, and the Vlad made my blood boil, I am sorry but at tier 8 you simply cannot have a 33 second reload time, plus a sun 20 k firing range, whoever put this crap in the game I really do believe should be taken outside and shot. Yes I am raging, as I have discovered the sad truth that any other class of ship other than CV I have to be in a division with voice comms, to make up for the stupid spawn points, is it really so hard to program it where the DD's are up front, Cruisers behind, BB's behind them, and CV's at the rear? You can guarantee that if you spawn closest to C, every one will go the other way to A, god I am so mad right now. Time for a beer

Maybe it isn't the ship but a very good player, crap like don't happen when I take her out, lol Anyway my fellow CV'arians........ Which is the absolute best form of CV play? (other than not to play them, before some cheeky scallywag gets in there) Is it not to move from your spawn point at all, reverse to the back line, or to move around the map. I have tried all three and it never seems to make much difference to win or lose.

I too have the both the Nelson and Dunkerque, and out of the two the Dunk is better, more mobile, longer range, spotter plane, Nelson is so ungainly it is painful, you spend your time watching how you manoeuvre instead of watching the battle, and trying to hide behind an island does not cut it, as it neither slows down ion a hurry, turns in a hurry, and it will not ever ever reverse in a hurry. Strange ship indeed as I like her for some unknown reason, but I hate her.

I only have it so that my Alsace can earn more fxp, same reason I go for the tier X's actually, although I just got the 'wooster' but sold the Seattle to get it, never liked the Seattle anyways. Not far off he Midway, again I want her because she will make my Lexington earn more fxp, although out of all the tier 8 CV's she is my least favourite. Can we have a poll to put the Kaga and Saipan, back down to tier 7 where they belong?

Is that my port? lol, yes in my earlier days and since I was WoW's reborn, yes it is stil out of hand and i have lost count, lol.

I guess nothing can be perfect, still awesome to catch out the unwary DD, or anything which I often find chasing me down lol.

They usually get used because of my misplacement on the map, maybe i shod try this not leaving the same spot until battle improves/worsens etc, still getting double strike was a nice surprise.

Mine is to gain more fxp and credits, as the kaga and Saipan being ex tier 7 ships, then they should be put back down their, plus all-tier 8 BB's should at least have a range of 20k on the main guns.

You forget the awesome secondaries, always nice and i wish I had the same ones on the Implacable and Kaga.

Some might find it so but if they buffed the bomb drop time, plus the damage the rocket planes do, then yes it could be considered good, as it is in my eyes it is just a mere tier 8 CV, and then we are still waiting on the Indomitable, it should be here by now and we just know it is going to under perform, way too long a wait for her and far too much time for the nerf bat to swing, getting quite annoyed by this current nerfing of everything, it has to stop. It says something that out of all my tier X ten ships that one is the most comfortable I am with in taking out into randoms,the other I only play in co ops o if my clan insist on tier X battles

All premium CV's are worth it, (Well maybe the Saipan....questionable) the Nelson is not worth, I have seen more mobile garbage trucks. Roma, Vanguard, Belfast, Gasgoine, Wichita, Azuma (which i never got and don't miss) Vladivostok, not worth the bonus grind, and this New Lenin looks just like a tier 7 Nelson in a Russian skin, again too long a reload time and way too short a firing range.

Hasn't the GZ just had or about to receive a buff, I got all the Premium CV's and at first hated her, now it is a different loves story, lol and those secondaries, oh boy got a double strike whilst being chased around the map, (I died but took out a BB and a DD I think) I wish all the other CV's had awesome secondaries. In fact the bad CV's are now the Brits due to slow bomb drop, and the tier X atrocious feels just like a tier 8. Can't wait to get my Midway, although I am picking up conflicting views on that one in the vids and posts I read about it, and stock I am guessing it will be total pants.

Time to change tactics, and the DD's actively hunt down he CV's, My Kaga was destroyed by a very well played Lightning the other day who crept through to surprise me as my team were losing the flank, (I did congratulate him in chat but he did not reply) think this is hard, just remember the CV player wil have planes up over caps and all sorts of area's, he or she won't have a clue whats going on around his or her CV due to being preoccupied by dodging flak, it does not seem to be for a lot of DD players.

If they could buff the Brit CV's by removing the parachutes that these thing have on thier DB's or should Isay carpet bombers, that would be very nice thank WG, oh and please before you remove the class from the game as so many wish, could you at least release the Indomitable, I want to add her to my premium collection

Just like Arty in WoT's, CV's are here to stay,like it or lump it, if they were removed, from the game, would those who bought them be refunded?

So the Midway really is that good then is it? certainly it's legendary status makes me wish I had it when in my Atrocious,a tier X CV that feels exactly like a tier 8 CV, currently the only tier X ship I dare venture into randoms on my own with, which shows how bad it must be, lol.

Now you mention the flanking bit, i do recall a game whee I got on on their own whilst in my CV, fair game I though,so went after him,can't remember if I got him or not, had another game where someone in a Vlad actually asked me to leave them alone as it had been a long day, so I did, being the polite chappy I am, pretty sure he then went on to sink me, lol.
