http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/85560-premium-ship-review-uss-arizona/ According to LWM the TPB is 39% whereas New Mexico is 42% but bow and deck armour are thicker.

Bismarck hydro is getting a soft nerf for next seasons ranked. Check out the info from Russia thread.

Ah okay. I bought one a few weeks ago and prefer it to Warspite. I wanted a US captain trainer viable for ranked. I am noticing it's lack of AA compared to New Mex. I can't help collecting historic ships though. Watched Tora Tora Tora the other night. Fantastic film.

KM ships are female gender. There has been posts about this before in some detail all be sometimes confusing.

Saw one tonight. Can't remember players name. He was bow tanking and reversing on his lonesome. Got some good fires on him in my dd.

Meh I get miffed when one salvo brackets your target when you expect a citadel. Imagine having to fire 20 for one hit? I have downloaded Atlantic Fleet in a steam sale but that's reserved for working away with no Internet as it looks quite involving. Trying to learn 1000 key commands.

Apart from not getting yourself into the situation, how are you guys avoiding a yoloing Tirp/Sharn/Gneis ? A good yoloing BB will always release his salvo of fish late meaning even if you peel away to present your stern you eat one. It's a bot favourite but every Tirp in random dreams of this. So assuming you haven't managed to sink the charging bull elephant and didn't want to peel away and present a broadside is there any other sneaky dodge ? One of those things that bugs me when it happens.

I'd Rather Be Unleashing Broadsides But Instead I'm.......
MeTaLMooSe replied to MeTaLMooSe's topic in Off-Topic
Being forced to get crimbo decorations out of the loft. My suggestion of festive looking signal flags fell upon deaf ears....... -
Some good answers. Like I said it rarely happens in random unless caught out in a multiple ship brawl and then anything can be expected. On the occasion I play coop the bots are relentless in their torpedo yoloing but I guess that's my fault for not caring to much about coop.

Point of principle regarding permanent camouflage
MeTaLMooSe replied to Charger76's topic in Archive
It takes massive protest from a large unhappy playerbase to concern WG. If their income is not as projected or server figures drop then I suspect complaints are mostly ignored. This is why you need to create a poll and line of communication with WG to find a solution. We forumites can debate until the cows come home but unless you have a legitimate and popular concern backed by a poll nothing will happen.- 48 replies

You're butt hurt. I understand. Have you contacted WG? There are plenty of butt hurt IJN DD owners and threads. A wall of text of yet another complainer is falling on unsympathetic ears. How about; 'I've contacted WG and this is their reply blah blah. Let's collectively get together guys and lobby them with our issue' You may get more support.- 48 replies

Put a pleading prayer post on FB with a picture of you at near death. 1000 prayers to the bebby jebus and you and your RNG will be saved.

Point of principle regarding permanent camouflage
MeTaLMooSe replied to Charger76's topic in Archive
When you downloaded the game you ticked the box agreeing to WG's terms and conditions. You can either live with it and get over it or take your money elsewhere. WG games are dynamic and there is always going to be changes good or bad. Sorry but that's how it is.- 48 replies

I must admit I'm having many poor to average games since rebuying it. I have noticed much harsher mm. I suspect because ranked has finished and the tier 8's have repopulated the server. Will have to follow lord Nelsons advice and move closer!

New service rank after the patch, rewards?
MeTaLMooSe replied to Aotearas's topic in General Discussion
No. I didn't have any IJN dd's. There was another post somewhere for 2 mill credit. -
I bought Murmansk last night after an internal battle within oneself to NOT buy an Atlanta (self harming is bad kids!) So as a little consolation I picked up this little gem. Excellent fun. Can't say I've racked up 100k damage but I have been burning ships to the waterline and slinking off behind a rock. Might have missed the tier 5 heyday but it's still a pretty amusing tier. Possibly the best 3000 dubs spent yet.

I concur with multiple posts above. I would wish for; Long range. Good concealment. Good accuracy. Good RoF and traverse. Poor armour. Susceptible to module damage. Lowish HP It doesn't really matter as WG must be rubbing their hands in glee at the prospect of overflowing coffers from the sales of this overhyped ship. I know I'll be getting one if only for collecting purposes but I hope it turns out to be at least fun if not any form of OP.

Check your notifications. We received 2 million credits. -
It doesn't matter what gun arcs you have. The shell time to target indicator, range and ship speed dictate lead. I've just rebought Bayern. I didn't have it in time for last seasons ranked and it was the tier 6 BB. 15" guns, good speed and agility, great stealth and troll armour. What's not to like?

Hitting the Citadel of a Scharnorst/Gneisenau
MeTaLMooSe replied to RUSSIANBlAS's topic in Battleships
I managed to citadel a Gneisnau today with a (drumroll...........) Sharnhorst! 10Km flat broadside travelling 3/4 throttle. I hit him just behind the stack I think. Only got 10k from that hit and my team resolutely decided that he who runs farthest and fastest wins. Thus a severe botty spanking loss thwarted my citadel celebration! -
Very nice. WG are feeling pretty generous at present. Container pressies every day. Eyebleedingly neon IJN freebies. And now a cool 2 mill? Not bad for a FTP game if you so choose.

My 2 cents worth (for whats that's worth as I speed ground both and don't have many battles). NC. Awesome if troll forward firepower. Some games you can straight out delete a BB in 2 salvos and others you can't hit a proverbial barn door. I am struggling with coming to terms with the 'bow in' tactic. Yes you can negate AP damage but I have been burned to the waterline by simply being in range of an HE spammer (Kutozov 19.5k...) And find myself unable to extricate myself without giving a full broadside or reversing and prolonging the bonfire. Also being bow in at 1/4 throttle or so I've been cross torped and unable to torpedo beat due to lack of speed. The famed AA is great but believe me, if a high tier CV targets you then you will sink. So despite having some really good games I'm having a conflict of confidence with it after suffering some terrible teams and not being in the correct position to do anything about it.(also my fault) Having re-studied Flamu's commentaries I notice he does a saw tooth pattern. Whereas he will approach a cap at an angle, fire off a salvo then turn and re-stealth whilst reloading. I tend to go in too deep and cannot turn unless you have fire support and the enemy are falling back. Bismarck. Easy mode compared to NC but you really feel the lack of firepower. If your team are not aggressive it can be a bit frustrating dinging off or missing from range. If you go yolo you still get focused and ground down. If you have some support and make a push then those legendary secondaries can go to work whilst your main battery comes into good effect. I find Bis more of a case of judging when to push. In higher tier games the NC's firepower will still work well especially with the campier meta. If the Bis is forced to stand off at range then it feels underpowered. Against your peers I find the Bismarck better. You can close the range knowing you only get stronger. A NC will invariably try and break off an engagement with a Bismarck. Torpitz's can be burned before they get in torp range and hydro help is outstanding. I think to conclude, I've had the most edge of my seat bare knuckle melee excitement with my Bismarck. Sailing into the epicentre as a forelorn hope and managing to swing a certain defeat into victory is why I love these games. The NC gives me more instant deletion gratification but I need to re-adjust my gameplay with her, so I'm a bit uncomfortable at present. P.S. The North Carolina looks damn fantastic so if appearances float your boat then I tip my hat to her. P.p.s Bismarck has a 15 point captain with manual secondaries and build. NC has an 11 point captain with AA build and saving up for CE.

Apparently copper mesh works better than tinfoil. Just saying....
