    So does Atago and t9+ cruisers and they also get the 30 sec, seems kinda unfair especially since Spee is nowhere near as powerful as said Atago. Still a welcome change to anyone that would like to play cruisers more often in this unfriendly meta.

    I agree that BBs need to become better teamplayers but there should be at least a difference between dodging and not doing anything at all. With current settings the GZ might as well stick to autodrop. And I have seen the AP bombs do some pretty nasty things to cruisers too...

    I have 2 problems with the GZ II ap bombs. 1. You can't counter the strike, even when moving and sideways, with fighter plane up most bombs will still hit and devastate you. 2. It hurts German BBs most, the BBs that are actually tailored to aggressive play and not the sniping meta this setup was initially supposed to counter. Still: Touche, made my day

    Halloween waste of time

    I wasn't there for last year's Halloween. The event seems fun and well made, can't wait for this year's edition. That said I believe it is very unbalanced. I think there should be more victories in general, right now it is either a 3-5 star win or a complete failure because Transylvania dies, with the latter happening waaaay more often. I had like 10 attempts at this and only one resulted in a win, the rest was defeats. Since the win was 4-stars and I don't care about premium time much I decided to let it go at this point.

    I had one 4-star win so far and only defeats after that. Makes me want to quit while I'm ahead, I'm tired of typing istructions for the team every single game...Jackals shooting HE and ignoring catapults, blades forgetting they have smoke, people detaching from the group to hunt down the back-spawning Zikasas...my sanity is being challenged constantly just as in operations nowadays. For a "fun" event it seems to be far too difficult for the average Joe.

  7. The initial concept of Giulio Cesare got me thinking about the way accuracy is portrayed in this game. We can all agree that 138m dispersion was way over the top, but this experiment showed that 1.5 sigma isn't neccessarily scary, it is the dispersion stat that matters most. Right now high sigma value is responsible for strange shell behavior, which is best seen with the Scharnhorst which has a great sigma coupled with huge dispersion. It creates those "funny" shell patterns where f.e. 5 shells go straight in the middle and then there is the one stray shell that flies completely outside the reticle. Now compare this to the Fuso, which has 12 guns, 1.5 sigma with decent dispersion. The shell pattern is much more predictable, it creates a shotgun effect that peppers the dispersion elipse evenly. I will risk a statement that a global reduction in sigma coupled with slight reduction in max dispersion would actually make the gameplay more comfortable and could be the way to go to reduce the RNG. On the other hand these changes would affect mostly battleships and one could argue if there is even a need to make the BB gameplay even more comfortable :) Anyway I hope we can have a nice discussion before this turns into BBaby bingo thread :)

    Ochrona torpedowa dotyczy tylko śródokręcia. Jeśli większość torped trafiła w jedną sekcję, np. dziób to po którymś z rzędu trafieniu HP sekcji spada do zera i nie otrzymuje już ona obrażeń. Mechanika ta zwie się "damage saturation" i jest co najmniej dziwna ale co zrobisz, WG tak sobie wymyśliło.

    This. Basically from a Tier 7 perspective she is far less dangerous than a NC because of worse accuracy and handling, coupled with one of the most vulnerable citadel of all BBs nowadays. So no, not OP. It's more of a problem to tiers 8+ as it means more 32mm overmatching guns on the field.

    Musashi specifications

    Exactly, For tier 7's there is no difference between 380 and 460mm as both calibers overmatch the 25mm threshold. The Musashi will be a much bigger problem to t8-10 as it means alot more ships in battles with 32mm overmatch potential. Other than that I doubt it will be overpowered, a difficult to play ship with huge citadel that is nigh-impossible to angle, scarce AA, sluggish gun handling and trollish sigma.

    A more vulnerable citadel would be a good balancing factor to the super heal. The heal is fine, just look how it works on the Nelson, any citadel hit negates all the benefits so again it becomes a matter of player skill and not "I win" button. Additionally the Conq could lose the 419mm guns so it stops being a superior Montana, perhaps with some soft tweaks to the 457mm to make them more appealing.

    Operations...

    So, it's been a couple of months since the Operations release. There are a ton of tutorials online. A lot of forum posts. The difficulty has been toned down significantly. And today I get this... Ok, in the first game in QE I derped out too, repaired a double fire and then caught a flooding from a T-22 because I played too aggressively. But I am just one ship of seven. People still do things like torpedo boat divisions or hug the repair ships in the back so there is no one around to stop the destroyers in time from entering the base. /rant I seriously don't know what else can be done in this matter at this point, the operations have been dumbed down enough as it is and i am against skill-based MM. 7-man divisions also shouldn't be the balancing factor. On the other hand defeats should happen as they happen in randoms, the rewards have been tweaked slightly since release but the gap between victory and defeat is still too large. Maybe if the reward gap was smaller losses wouldn't be so goddamn frustrating and make me wish for 30mins of my life back :( EDIT: screenshot didn't show up EDIT II 4th game was a 0-star victory because I carried the hell out of this game being the last man standing

    Moja NC nadal full stock ale widzę olbrzymi potencjał. Przez pierwsze kilka bitew nie mogłem za grzyba w nic trafić, trajektorie to BBkowy odpowiednik Clevelanda, masakra. Najlepiej podejść trochę bliżej ale z głową bo można nie zdążyć się potem wycofać bez pokazywania burty (dopiero pracuję na niewidkę na kapitanie). Pociski jak już trafią są miodne, ze względu na ostre trajektorie wchodzą w pokłady jakby były pokryte teflonem. AA przecudowne, zwłaszcza w bitwach t6-8, jakiś zdesperowany Ryujo próbował mnie ugryźć i nie przebiło się absolutnie NIC (przypominam stockowy kadłub). Podsumowując, póki co znacznie bardziej podoba mi się od Bismarcka gdzie rozrzut dział przyprawia o frustracje a brakuje mi jeszcze umiejętności żeby umiejętnie wykorzystać hydro i secondary bez pakowania się w misję samobójczą.

    Obrót wież przyprawia o ból zębów ale wszystko inne jest jak na t6 fantastyczne. Ta celność dział, cudownie patrzeć jak pociski z każdej wieży lecą idealnie równiutkimi dwójkami w przeciwieństwie do takiego Bayerna. Działa to niestety w obie strony, jeśli źle skalkulujemy cała salwa chybi. Jeśli z czasem bufną obrót do poziomu Warspite będzie to moja ulubiona szóstka.

    Podoba mi się. OP naprawiaczka równoważona jest przez cytadelę z naprawdę niewielkim zakresem skutecznego kątowania. Pozwolisz się zcytadelować-naprawiaczka na nic. Za to każdy HE-spam przyjmujesz na klatę z uśmiechem na ustach. APki znacznie gorsze niż na Colorado ale przeciw Tier7 i mniej działają znakomicie. HE niby potężne ale RNG mnie nie lubi i potrafi 2 salwy posłać bez pożaru. P-lotka jest żałosna, jeśli kiedykolwiek lotniska staną się bardziej popularne Nelson może na tym sporo ucierpieć. Nie wiem czy AFT+AA moduł coś wtedy pomoże (teraz pływam z celnością).

Just Had @Zuxx on red team on Northern lights, we were both in NCs, his team let us take 3 caps when half lemminged behind the islands at D cap and the other half went towards the western border at A cap with literally no one in the middle. I scored multiple citadels on Fuso and Cleveland at D without taking almost any return fire through the entire game except some plinks from enemy Bismarcks secondaries.
  17. Now I remembered that I also met @piritskenyer about 2 weeks ago when he was testing a Giulio Cesare. His team kinda abandoned him and knowing he is a good player I managed to focus and sink him with my Iron Duke and some teammates. We still lost though, seems he provided enough distraction for the rest of enemy team to do their job

    Hell, I prefer to fight Furutakas, Aobas and Myokos instead of Kolbergs and V-25. They are a nightmare to reliably hit with anything else than a fast-firing cruiser. Killing them feels unrewarding and getting killed by them is humiliating.

    I just hope that WG's solution won't be to swap all the attacking ships for tier 2-4 ones like in Killer Whale. KW is my least favourite op because of that, gives least rewards and the small, nimble, spammy tier 2-3s are infuriatingly frustrating to play against in anything else than a Cleveland or Budyonny. I'd love to take out my Graf Spee more for these operations but from my experience if I don't take a Cleve or Buddy and carry every single game, im in for a hell of a challenge.

    Sometimes I feel that restricting the tier to 6 changed nothing, just made people even more careless. Few days ago I took my STOCK Queen Elisabeth for the daily win and got a 6-man clan premade division containing a carrier. I thought this is going to be easy but boy was i wrong. In the end the Raptor got sunk while I topped the scoreboard with most exp and kills. I even think the carrier was last in score. HOW THE HELL IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE??!?!

    IFHE for Phoenix?

    Because Phoenix faces ships up to tier V which have mostly 19mm armor that 152mm HE penetrates just fine. In short it is a waste of 4 skill points and 3% fire chance.

    The HE is not to be underestimated with Giulio because while the 1.5 sigma hurts precise citadel aiming with AP, the much tighter max dispersion allows alot more of HE shells to connect with each volley and it doesn't matter where HE lands as long as it hits.
