Hmm considering the fact that manual secondaries actually went from 15 to 35% for t6 and lower, Mikasa should be better now?

IMO hybrid builds are actually more possible now on german BB's than before, thanks to the tier 7+ sec accuracy buff. Meaning you can make a tank build plus just secondary range skill. A hybrid can't be 100% effective at both. Lets hope the secondary accuracy buff is extended to other nations as well.

TBH when it comes to rudder, Atlanta and Flint rudder shift times are quite bad for CL standards, they could use a buff apart from any other buffs they are eligible for. -
Since I play mostly coop I can attest that GK is awesome fun there now in full secondary build, as with other t7+ KM BB's. Can't wait till it's Narai week again

Being easier to play is only a part of reason for BB popularity. Big ships have more fans and were more famous, simple as that, most fleet actions revolved around them. Just look at the number of lets say, Bismarck fanboys and put them against the amount of (insert any dd name here). -

Except this makes cruisers vulnerable to CV as they can now use the island to approach without any AA fire and smack a stationary target. -

IMO best line to learn how BBs play is the old USN line. After the accuracy buffs German BB's became effectively better versions of USN line, if you don't build them for secondaries.

Well then you can always experiment with plane HP and squadron sizes since ops would use custom squadrons anyway like it was in Dynamo or the gold convoy one (forgot the name).
