Just to make it abundantly clear without the click fest, here it is.

I am taking this up as a challenge and so far I have enjoyed up to the max. Experience which money can't buy (pun intended). What comes to the ad hominems I'll just leave it at that. <3

Yes. And yes. So the conclusion is the competitive scene can not invest in obvious candidates like op ships or op ship comps (5 DD with you know, that torp spammer or that DD with the hydro or yolo capabilities etc.). Or in any other meta because when it becomes popular its banned. The fact is, they ban ships after the money is in their pocket. And it seems this is intentional. That is my main point of critisism.

Yes it is. This is all done before competitive season, not mid season and unexpectly. There are versions where teams pick which assets are banned, before the match and this is mode is also announced before the competition. And if, and only if, someone made a mistake in any aspects of a competition there are steps to compensate for this in order to keep the competition sporty. I also understand why they are doing this. The method they chose to approach balans is €€€ based, not in the spirit of competition. But I guess its in company politics, the ones in the gaming sector wanting a true competitive footing and the marketing sector wanting as much, lets say revenue, as possible. Yes. Sad truth about homo sapiens and its tribal behaviour developed past what, 50k years? That's why you should try to stick to valid arguments. The thing with competitive is, you don't play the game just for playing the game. There are reasons why you play the game, like assessing the viability of meta, upkeeping your aiming skillz, thinking about metrics, and the list goes on and on. About the football comment, I actually speak slav, in allegories when applicable. And your assumption about why people play this game is wrong. Not everyone uses this product for sittig back and sniping at map border. For some of the gamers the competition is the fun part.

This part WG got right. The other part they just fell flat on their face.

Nope, they were not free to get. You had to actually play the game to obtain coal, for a long time I might state. You had to make different choises in regards for obtaining the coal required for these ships. This is called time investment. And now its gone. The thing is, when you invest in something, time or money wise, you expect to get something in return. Instead you get shafted. And by the way, in football circles, moving the goal posts mid-game is considered a shady practice and in the actual real world it is outright banned.

The discussion is now successfully diverted to personal insults. Well done captains! So nobody is actually worried about what happens when WG ventures (yes, in the capital sense to make it abundantly clear) into competitive scene with practices like banning ships and comps mid season? We already know they reworked ingame economy, especially when respeccing ships to different roles (randoms, competitive, meta).

    Congratulations to WOW Developers

This is also basics of statistical game design, brought to you by the wonders of economic school theories. It's all data mining, man!

You are now approaching the tangent of the point I am making. Maybe I shoud quit, as should all the community contributors to this game, including the top clan members organizing clans and communities alongside the game. Apparently WGs marketing sections spreadsheets say this is good for the prospects of wows, alas what they want.

But its not all about the game. There are communities out there with actual ppl out there. Just no. It's either grind or money. WG made decision to go after the money. Either way the investment is gone in banning meta. And solution is more investment. Yes.

Time is the most precisious commodity in our lives. Investing time means commitment. Commitment means €€€. People make rational choices, use 200 hours grinding competitive ships, or maybe 7 extra working hour to pay €€€ for that grind. And WG knows this so they made it a monetization model. Trade off being ofc game balance.

Exacto mundo. WG is utilizing dinosaur monetization tech. As a f2p model company they still have not discovered the wheel. That wheel which runs communities and meta around a game.

And at a affordable price too! And if they get banned in competitive, you can always buy some more! Keep in mind WG creates the meta, they sell the ships for €€€. But must be unrelated things. Is that what you are saying?
